Everyone knows there is no “I” in team, but to Macs Newstead--orgasm-gifting, muscle-filled Navy SEAL hero--there are more important words than team. Words like victory and vanity and selfishness. People say those words like they are a bad thing, but to Macs, they’re simply tools in his highly effective arsenal. When a man’s entire existence revolves around the necessity t ...more

Holy Moly. I don't know how Rachel Robinson does it? Hero Hair was nothing like I'd thought it would be. I wasn't expecting my heart to pound as hard as it did. I wasn't expecting my mind would spin as much as it did. I wasn't expecting the halts in my breathing. I was not expecting to FEEL as many different emotion that I did.

In Hero Hair the player gets played. And I'm not even talking about the hero. The heroine is as big a player as our lead guy. And I LOVED that!! It was refreshing to have

I loved this book. I really enjoyed the first one in the series, and this was no different. I fell in love with the characters, particularly Macs in this book. I love the banter of the Seals but also of Teala and her friends. I also like how things still connect from the first book, even if only in a small way.

Highly recommend reading this one, and I'm looking forward to the next!

Let's get this out of the way first. HOLY FUCKING COVER! I almost didn't even read the book because I couldn't get past the cover. I'm pretty sure that I had to wipe some drool from my mouth at an airport bar for about an hour before I even started reading.

This is my first Rachel Robinson book. I would say that the cover is what drew me in but it was really the blurb. I've always liked the upfront promiscuous guy who falls hard and was intrigued with the idea that he meets his female rival and

I absolutely adored this book. Hero hair is a wonderful mixture of comedy, romance, and heartbreak. We feel each of these emotions so fully at one or more times throughout the book. The author has done a truly amazing job envoking these emotions. What I loved most about this book was the fact that this wasn't another "tamed playboy falling in love" book. This had its very own unique spin on a true playboy, and girl, and I really have never read anything quite like it.

Hero Hair is the the second book in The Real SEALS series and the first book I have read by Rachel. I haven't read a book where the Prologue makes me laugh so I knew Hero Hair was going to be awesome. I was captivated from the beginning till the end. Love, love, loved the story line and the chemistry between the characters. Hero Hair was well written and is a kicka** story. Looking forward to more if The Real SEALS series and I am definitely going to read the first book Black and White Flowers.

Hero Hair is the second book in ‘the Real Seal Series’ by Rachel Robinson. Like her other books it tells a story about real people dealing with real issues in circumstances they can’t control. The blurb of Hero Hair intrigued me; two total commitment-phobes finding each other and trying to make it work… I love the story of Teala and Macs, even though it had some very angst-y moments (something that makes me scream).

Rachel Robinson is hands down one of my absolute favorite authors. She never fails to deliver stories that will rip your heart out, while loving every minute of it. Hero Hair is the second story in her Real SEAL series, and the timeline coincides with the first book, but it can definitely be read as a standalone. However, if you haven’t read the first book, you need to now! It was so very good. Hero Hair is another fantastic tale of hope and survival, and what it means to overcome your

Teala Smart is a successful, beautiful woman, who's a yoga instructor. However, she doesn't believe in relationships, so she hooks up with whatever bad boys that she comes across. When her friends bet her she can't "date" someone, her competitive nature has her taking that bet. Macs is a hot Navy Seal who doesn't have time for relationships so he also hooks up with all kinds of different women. It’s always so hard for me to come up with words to let a reader know just how much I loved and adored a book. It’s hard to do a book justice when the words are all there in the book and you just need to read it.

Most of you know I am a huge fan of Rachel’s, she writes everything I want in a book, humor, angst, hot sex, likable characters and of course romance. Well her latest book Hero Hair does not disappoint, we get Rachel at her best, once again.

I loved this book! Had me laughing out loud on the first page!

Teala has issues with commitment, they stem from her father leaving when she was young. She gets over this buy only having one night with men, they both get what they want with no strings.

Macs is a Navy SEAL, he is gorgeous and knows it and is a huge ladies man, he likes the motto love them and leave them.

When Teala’s friends challenge her to try a real relationship out she deci

Ever wonder what happens when two players get together and deny themselves first- (or even second- or third-) date sex? A whole freaking explosion of sparks and feels. I. Love. These. Characters! Both Macs and Teala have such confidence, such acceptance of their sexual selves that they are just flat out addicting. T

Sometimes the silence I created is too fucking loud.

Hero Hair is the second installment of the Real SEAL series. The first novel revolved around Smith and Carina, this novel is about Teala and Mac which already showed up in the first novel. This is their story. Their pain. Their love story.
I can easily say that the drama is not as high in this one.

Teala and Macs start off as a bet to appease her friends (of course), but soon see that they have more in common than their insanely trained bodies

“What the hell are you, Teala Smart?”
I grin. “I’m a lot of things, but I’m mostly your worst nightmare.”

Macs Newstead and Teala Smart have a very similar outlook on relationships, they don’t have any use for them. Why bother forming messy attachments when you can have your fun and then move along? That’s exactly what they had in mind for eac

From the minute you read through the prologue you will know that you have a winner in your hands, or at least I hope you do because by the time I finished just those few pages I was not only chuckling a snorting like a loon but I was totally in love with the story and it hadn’t even begun to hit its stride.
Neither Teala nor Macs are the type of person who is ready, willing or able to commit to a relationship, they both have their foibles and that keeps them firmly entrenched in their own worlds

I am a huge fan of Rachel Robinson. I have loved everything I have read of hers. Full disclosure. But, this book, well, this book was extra special in my mind. Teala and Macs definitely are one of my all time favourite couples I have read and that Rachel has given us. Macs and Teala are male/female versions of each other in terms of their sexual proclivities. They both shun relationships, love sex, only do one night stand type hook ups. So when Macs is told about Teala from his buddy, who had a ...more

Where do I begin? I ADORED this book! I don't think I can even express to you in words how much I did, but I'll try because I'm not a quitter lol. First and foremost, it started off with thee cutest, most original prologue ever. I mean, seriously, it was a perfect start to Macs and Teala's story. It captured those two perfectly. There are some characters who are written in the "perfectly flawed" sort of way. Teala and Macs are these characters. They are who they are and do not make excuses for their past or present choices. They also understand why they are who they are and they still fully embrace their messed up selves with open arms. It goes without saying that when two perfectly flawed characters meet, explosive things will happen. Having read Black and White Flowers, I knew what was coming and was emotionally prepa ...more

Teala Smart is teaching something that I could really use right about now. She makes no excuses as to who she is and what she wants out of life. Her friends have an interesting description for her – not normally used to describe women. Macs is looking for something – or someone – more. He and his friends talk about women as if they’re entertainment.

The good news with this book was that at times I had to chuckle about how Teala feels about men. She’s a woman who is trying to have her business suc

Macs and Teala.... 3.5 stars...

After the prologue, my expectations were high.

I will admit that there was something that held me back from fully connecting to this book. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it but I think my expectations after the prologue just weren't met. The story was good in general and I liked Macs. Teala's character change towards the end of the book was a bit of a "no brainer" and something I didn't understand at all - to me it was highly unnecessary.... I perceived her as a str

I really enjoyed this book, it was so good and nothing like what I expected at all. I loved the story, it was beautifully written with elements of love, fun and laughter but also of death, destruction and heartbreak. It was a book that messed with your emotions.

Taela and Mac's chemistry was just off the chart and although it all started as a game. Things happened to change it. I won't say to much as spoilers are horrible. The supporting characters in this book were great too and helped to bring

Good looks and easy hook ups, that was the life for Macs and Teala, until it wasn't. Teala's friends challenge her to commit to one person. and not hook up immediately, no they had to adhere to a set of rules, no matter what. Perfect right?! As you can guess the challenge was a success, but then there was a wrench thrown in, and end to the world wrench. Now insecurities and separation threaten to destroy what they had so frailly developed.

I was very excited for this book because of the last one. The last book was gut wrenchingly beautiful so my hopes were high. This book didn't disappoint. While on the lighter side of drama compared to the first book I found myself laughing more at the banter between the two characters.

Macs and Teala were well matched, but a bit unrelatable to the average person. The book followed the typical pattern of RR's novels, until the point of Macs' return from his assignment. I didn't quite understand why he didn't contact Teala even once for an entire month. She obviously had an underlying mental issue that exploded during that time. Macs also didn't really try very hard upon his return, but I suppose that sort of fits with his personality. Overall, this book was good, but not necess ...more

I didn't like it.
I found the main characters really crass and unlikeable.
Time was hard to follow, would have been better giving the reader more indication of how much time had passed between dates and key events.
The way the males were portrayed (esp the main male) was so disgusting and mysoginistic. No respect for women, referring to them as "c*nt crew" or something like that, and portraying women as nothing more than a pair of breasts and the sex between their legs. It was very unappealing a

Hero Hair on an actual hero, Macs

Rachel Robinson has the best SEAL stories. Actually a man and a woman story. Both of them working through their insecurities and fears to find love, lose each other, then get a second chance. All of this takes part during a traumatic event for our country.. So there is a very real fear of being able to survive. But remember while you are reading, pictures say more than words and twenty two cents. Cried and laughed through this book. Hope you love it as much as I

Insanely hot chemistry. Check.
A gripping story. It has that too.

I really enjoyed Hero Hair by Rachel Robinson. I wasn't sure what to expect since the cover and title are what drew me in and I dove in completely blind, and I'm not disappointed. Taela and Macs' sexual chemistry sizzles off the pages, but there's so much more to their journey than that. This book had me laughing, swooning, squirming, and gasping.
