A primer on how to raise a son. Nothing complicated, just good common sense advice.

Pretty good book - there's a lot of places where we'll have to do more research on subjects, but the overall message was clear - keep communications open, stay involved, etc.

Meh. The only other "Everything" guide I've read is the one about making Indian food, and while I appreciated the dumbed-down Cliff Notes version in relation to making wet and dry masalas, I found the same concept applied to parenting and gender to be really offensive. I didn't get very far into the book, and maybe it gets better, but given the problematic deployment of David Reimer's story in the introduction I highly doubt it.

I wanted this book to have better information in it, but alas, it was very basic.

It was okay. I didn't get as much out of it as I had hoped.
