A very well edited and very pretty book, but for some reason, I did not find it very engaging. There were a few stories in there that I enjoyed, but something about the writing style, or maybe just the tales in general, made is a slow read, and I often found my mind wander instead of being immersed in the stories.
A very good resource though, includes many different types of stories, from Jataka tales to folk epics, and a separate chapter about Lao food, crafts, and games.
