Lust and Cashmere
Fiction. Things can happen when a man falls in love with a sweater. This book is about an unrequited love limited to self-imposed doctrines of propriety. Any number of intellectual conclusions can be drawn, but even the most serious will have to negotiate the gutter, which plagues Jon McManus and eventually the reader. It is divided in three parts, beginning with a Cinderella story. The first part is a straightforward narrative, the second a play of absurd humor and the third a choose your own adventure.

Original premise, lovely book design, fab illustrations. I truly heart Green Lantern Press. A.E. Simns is a talented writer: steamy-thinky-goofy, and the opening (straight-thru) story is a real gem. BUT --as with those Choose Your Own Adventure books I used to read at the dentist's, I was more excited about the power of choice than where it led me.

This is an odd little book. The premise is great and I read the whole thing in a day, so I guess that means I liked it. But it is a choose your own adventure, which got in the way of the writing. Still, it was a good time and not like any other book I've read. It's worth a read.

A sexy book about a dude who falls in love with a sweater...
and yes, there is a choose your own adventure part at the end. You know, so that the reader is implicated in the adventure as well.
