This a good beginning devotional for young children. It says it is for ages 4 to 7. I read this with my four year old-some of it was above her. I would say it better suited to children 6 to 8 who can relate to some of the examples/questions that he gives. We did enjoy the My Amazing World facts at the end of each day.

Really inspirational devotional for "kids" of all ages! Really helped me to see my spiritual life in a new way.

If you are looking for a great way to keep your kiddo in the Word this Summer . . . look no further! Growing with Jesus is the perfect little devotional for laid back Summer days. The graphics are colorful and the content is very engaging. The perfect combo to peek the interest of your child.

Each day's topic is unique with a Scripture to begin with. The 'Thoughts To Grow On' section expounds on the daily topic and leaves you with thoughts to discuss and ponder. One of our favorite things about each day was the 'My Amazing World' section. This part gives a fascinating fact about the world we live in. As an adult even I learned some new facts!

This book is recommended for boys and girls ages 6-10. I also think it could work for slightly younger and slightly older siblings making it a great resource for family devotions.

I received a copy of this book to facilitate my review.

I really liked this book and I was ready to give it encomiums until I read, "Sometimes it's hard to think about Jesus when you're away from church. After all, you've never really met him in real life. You don't know what he sounded like. You don't even know what he really looked like."
There are just so many things wrong with this paragraph that it's hard to give this book to a child.
Also, the author does not capitalize when he refers to Jesus Christ in the pronoun form such as He/Him.

The cover on my book looked different so I am not a 100% sure if it's just a different edition of the same book or a newer set of devotionals by the same author... but the book is fabulous. I successfully used it to build entire kids church lessons from the devotionals. Beats any expensive curriculum. Uses simple language to encourage kids to think of God.

This devotional is perfect for kids with short attention spans. It is brief and well thought out. My kids love this book.
