I had enjoyed the other two books in this series, so I downloaded it without even reading the synopsis, but I wish I had.

I really liked Emerson and Jake. They're both really good people and they're both struggling over a traumatic event. (view spoiler). I loved seeing them reconnect and find the balance b

Mila Gray has become one of my favorite authors because her books contain emotional stories and the characters always find a way into my heart. I know without a shadow of a doubt that each time I pick up one of her books that I'll laugh, cry, sigh and fall in love. And that's exactly what happened when I read this friends to lovers romance. Run Away With Me was a beautiful story that was filled with hope, friendship, family and love.

Though I love many of her books written as Sarah Alderson, for some reason I can never connect with her Mila Gray ones. *sigh*
Trigger Warning: sexual assault, bullying

Long Rant Incoming: (Don't say I didn't warn you.)

I picked up this book a few months ago after reading through the first two in the 'series' and almost immediately set it down. I didn't have a real reason for doing so. I just wasn't really in the mood for the book at the time.

I wish I had just left well enough alone and left this book DNF'd.

My biggest problem with this book was that there were so many technical inaccuracies. I'm not referring to the gramm

I honestly think Mila Gray can do no wrong. RUN AWAY WITH ME hooked me from the first chapter until the very end. The characters were easy to love and relate to, and oh my goodness- their tension? Sa-wooooon! I just kept waiting for Emerson to either beat Jake up or get together with him already.

There are loads of YA-NA novels out there, I'll give you that. The thing about Mila Gray's book, especially this one, is it has the perfect amount of angst, swoon, and tension without having too much sex

I'm a huge fan of Sarah Alderson's Hunting Lila series, but this is the first time I have read any of her Mila Gray books. She brings to this story the same level of detail and complicated human relationships. There is no shortage of tension, both romantic and dramatic, as the characters fight for each other and themselves.

Emerson's whole life shattered when she was a teenager. In one day she lost her sense of trust and safety, the support of her community, and her best friend, Jake. N

I was all set to give this book a scathingly disappointing review until I read the author's note at the end. Now I feel all lukewarm about it. But I think that's okay. I think (hope) a lot of my issues will be taken care of in editing before the book is officially released in November.

I really loved Jake and Emerson. Their chemistry and history were real and believable, and their relationship was so sweet. They are both the main plot of the story and also not, and that is where the root of my p

I don't know what it is about this series but I love these books like I love very much else. I have read each of them in a day so when this showed up at my doorstep this morning for which btw I had been waiting for for a week I knew all of the things on my way-too-long to-do list were to be doomed for the day, but oh well, if a book series is worth procrastinating everything else for it is this

Love this series and I am sad to see the series end. This book was a different love story. In this book Emerson Lowe and popular ice-hockey player Jake McCallister have been friends for a really long time, like the 3rd grade. This are different since then Jake’s living on the other side of the country and Emerson is left alone to pick up the pieces of her life. When I saw this book, I immediately knew I had to read it. I had enjoyed the previous books in this series, and couldn't wait to see what sort of "Come Back to Me" story Gray had in store for me.
Pro: This is a friends-to-more and sort of second chance romance, which are among my favorite kinds of romances. Although the sparks were just starting to fly, when their worlds were shattered, Em and Jake still held a piece of each other in their hearts for the years they were apart. I couldn't help bu

I loved the other two books I had read by Gray, and I had forgotten this one was in my TBR pile. This one is added to the other two and is another stellar story.

Emerson and Jake were best friends growing up. Their friendship began to form into something more, but then something happened to Emerson and Jake left. So Emerson holds a tremendous amount of hurt, and Jake struggles to get back in her good graces. Seven year pass, and Jake returns to their hometown. Now he's an up-and-coming hockey sta

Run Away With Me is a beautiful story of love, friendship, and healing. I immediately connected with Emerson and Jake. They have a rich history and a chemistry you can’t deny. I loved getting to see them rekindle their friendship, and seeing each character healing from different wounds. But, there were a lot of sideplots that really distracted from Em and Jake, and their storylines. Like a lot of them. Don’t get me wrong, they certainly elevated the drama, but I would have liked a more

Wow! So much to say about this book. I really don’t know where to start. I really felt for both Emerson (Em) and Jake. They were both dealing with this big thing and it was hard especially since they were only teenagers.

Now 7 years laters there friends again and try to make things work for them. Emerson has to learn to trust him and let him be there for her. Jake is not only dealing with stuff from past always what’s going on with himself right now. I think it was good to see them going through

When Jake comes back seven years later and sees Em again. Old feelings resurfaces in more ways than one. This book is about healing old wound and discovering what might of been years ago.

I honestly couldn’t put this book down. It kept me on my edge of my seat. It was good to see from past and present to feel what Jake and Em where feeling. I really enjoyed this story of Em and Jake.

While I wanted to like this book, it just didn’t do it for me. The plot felt very cliche and the romance was at times unrealistically cheesey. I could predict parts of the book before they even happened. I appreciated how the book brought the issue of assault to light, but felt it put an unrealistic slant on a real issue today. I would have also liked to see the main character have a better and more developed relationship with her sick father rather than seeing him as what appears to be a burden ...more

I fell in love! With the story and characters and the way the author writes. Mila Gray definitely knows how to weave a story. It was captivating and aggravating, and all the emotions in between. Tragedy can change people but it can also bring people together and that’s what this story is about.

This book was just as good as the other three books I have read from Mila Gray. This book was different because there was a lot of flashbacks which were hard to understand why they were there but once I finish reading it the whole book made sense. Words can not even express how excited I was to get my hands on this book. I fell in love with the cover the moment I saw it and I got a hold of the synopsis and said “Yep, this is the read for me”.

Run Away With Me follows the story of Jake and Emerson. Jake and Emerson have been best friends for as long as they can remember, so it should be no surprise when their feelings begin to grow and change into something more. Only fate had other plans and ripped these two young lovers apart; f

I hate to give this book 3 stars because I LOVED Mila Gray's other two books in this series. I was really excited to read this one as well, but I'm not going to say I wasn't a little disappointed. Although i enjoyed this book and finished it in less than 24 hours, i feel a little disappointed and let down in comparison to the other 2 books in the series. This book was so cute and sweet. I loved the way the past was woven in at the perfect places. I love Emerson and Jake together and loved seeing them mend their broken hearts.

However, i did not enjoy how each past chapter was written in italics. I think by having the header “then” it’s obvious it’s the past and doesn’t need to be written
