First and Second book of The Abduct Series. Please read synopsis for Messy and Shattered if not read yet as spoilers below.
Sometimes in life you are put in a position that causes you to make a difficult decision.
Sometimes, the decisions you make effect other people.
Yesterday I was saved from a fate worse than death, I was saved from being sold to the highest bidder.
I should be grateful, glad to be alive. I should be.
The man beside me, driving the car we just stole, he is the reason I was nearly sold, the reason my fifteen year old sister was killed, after all he slit her delicate throat.
Could you let go, pretend it never happened? Trust a murderer? Or like me, would you need vengeance - justice?
As Heinrich Heine once said "We should forgive our enemies, but not before they are hanged”
I thought about forgiving him, but I want revenge, I want what's mine.
Best Selling Author in Amazon Psychology Fiction (2014 and 2017) and Dysfunctional Relationships (2013).

'This book is thought provoking, dark, and emotional. It touches on taboo subjects that are very much a harsh reality in the world. The author does not glorify or glamorize them, in my opinion. '

In 2014 The Abduct Series was number one best selling book on amazons psychological fiction chart. Just after this time it was blocked for explicit content. Now three years later it is back for sale on Amazon in a special dual edition.
**Please note that this story-line contains violence and some non-consensual sexual activity. This includes reference and some in depth discussion/imagery of battery, under-age sexual references, rape, torture and murder. This is not an exclusive list - You have been warned**
I looked at the man in front of me, he didn't look scary or threatening, to anyone else he looked harmless. He had a wide white smile that could make any girl melt, he had shaggy long blonde hair and innocent baby blue eyes. His Australian accent added to his worldly charm. He looked like a sweet and kind surfer but with a jaw gripped tight that showed anger. I looked down at the blade gripped in his palm and the blood dripping from the edges. His face read that of almost sorrow, but only almost. I looked at the floor, my voice lost in a scream.
I looked down at her soft cheeks, her auburn hair and her still green eyes. She wasn't blinking, she wasn't breathing. I saw the crimson red spread from her cut throat all over the Italian marble floor. It seeped into the cracks. This girl, this fifteen year old girl with blood staining her favourite floral dress... She couldn't be my sister, I wouldn't believe it.
I foolishly thought this would be the worst day of my life.
That was the day I was taken, that was the day I met Draco.

The Abduct Series was removed from Amazon in 2014 for explicit content, now three years later it has finally been re-approved. In this time I have made the series available for free, here on Goodreads however due to the terms and conditions by Amazon I am no longer allowed to. If you would like an ARC copy please do get in touch. This series is really so important to me. Please ensure to get your copy as I can't express how much it pains me that it may be removed again. The final part of the story is also available on amazon. Buy your copy here: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...
Messy & Shattered (Abduct #1) (5-177) Rome Italy. Aimee Davies (23, sister, narrator) was the legal guardian of Erin Daniela Davies (15, little sister). Their dad had deserted them long ago. Mom had succumbed to cancer. Rahul (ex-BF, sadistic, abusive) & Draco were into human trafficking. Aimee & Erin would stay at the Grand Hotel Plaza. Niccolo took their bags to their room. Things weren’t quite what Aimee had imagined. 1 day Aimee was about to give Erin her birthday present; a Tiffany & Co. box & when she looked into the room her sister had been murdered. Blood was everywhere.
Who is Jethro? & Why is Aimee seeing him? Where did Nicole Gregory come from?

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. Wow, a very powerful well written dark psychological thriller book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great dark suspense thriller movie, or better yet a mini TV series. To be continued. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.

Equivocal (Abduct #2) (183-309) 18 months later. Nicole was meeting Dylan at the library on a frequent basis. Griffin Wickham had sent Nicole an email. Rupert was extremely jealous of Dylan. Jethro later had to take Nichole to the hospital. News flash: 2 men were found dead in Tralee. I did 2 MS graduate level PP presentations: SW & counseling classes on human trafficking. Everyday PPL don’t realize how big business this is. Besides all the societal negative aspects that go along with it.

I liked this because it didn't drag but we still got a nicely developed story. ---------->Hide your eyes because I have a spoiler here..
I had to go back and reread the showdown between Griffin and Draco. What caused the wound to his back? There was blood dripping down his back and as he collapsed it started spreading over the front of his shirt. I assume he was shot. However it didn't say that Griffin fired before Draco got the gun away.
I didn't get the HEA I was after but I still liked these two. I'm going to download the last book immediately after I return this one.
Let me start by saying that I read all three parts of the series together and will try to provide a summary of all parts together as a boxed set. I am a fan of box sets since I really dislike cliffhangers so that was a huge plus.
I actually got the copy on Amazon for review which is why I need to mention that there are some errors which pulled me out of the story. Now I am not a grammar critic, so for errors to jump out at me is pretty unusual and unfortunate.
I am a huge fan of dark story lines and this was excellent in that area. Draco ends up abducting Aimee and in the process kills her sister, Erin. There is the element of Stockholm Syndrome between Draco and Aimee. There are a lot of twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat in this series. There were a few shocking moments and quite a bit of mystery. Draco is the most shocking character. I have to say that the ending of the series leaves you wanting to read Jethro’s Journey since he is still a mystery. Overall I enjoyed it, but it does need a bit of tweaking to fix some errors.
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for review from BDSM on Goodreads TPE BAR Program
I was a bit surprised by this book. Although the content is a bit taboo, it actually wasn't as harsh as I was anticipating it would be considering that the author has stated on previous blurbs that it was removed from Amazon for that very reason.
Your heart is instantly attached to Aimee for all the garbage that life threw at her, and then everything she endures as the book unfolds. I found myself wishing desperately for different circumstances surrounding Aimee and Draco. As much as I know that I should have despised Draco...I just couldn't. Deep down he's just this sad, broken little boy.
I was completely unprepared for the little curve ball Mercy threw at her readers at the finish of Equivocal, so kudos to you Mercy. It's not often that I find myself actually getting upset at the writing/direction that an author takes the story in, because let's be honest here...most are predictable. I'm extremely grateful that Mercy also gave me a copy of Jethro's Journey, I have to see where she takes this! What happens to Aimee, is the twist with Draco for real?!?, I have a feeling that Jethro isn't going to stay just a friend and helper to Aimee, and yes...I'd like more information about him! :)
A good 4 solid stars on this little gem! Great read, keeps you turning the pages and hungry for more!
The Abduct series deals with the dark and dangerous world of human trafficking. Follow Aimee's fight for survival as she's dragged into this world and what happens after.....A dark tale, with twists and turns that make your head spin and keeps you on the edge of your seat. A gift i enjoyed reading!
