An interactive introduction to the Periodic Table and the groups of elements.
Very attractively designed with lots of fun and informational facts under the flaps. There's tons of info packed into just 16 pages. Best of all, they illustrate atoms with protons and neutrons and electrons correctly and not using the old planet look! Definitely recommended to those teaching an intro to chemistry or for curious kids. ...more

I really liked this book. Lots of information in it about the 118 elements in the periodic table. They all have a code name which is the same in every country in every language.
I liked reading about which ones would fizz and bang. I like the last page best which had some dangerous elements on it. It's fun to lift the flaps to discover the answers.
I recommend this book if you like science things and if you like to learn new things. ...more

Absolute genius. Fun, colourful, accessible, gorgeous visuals, fascinating. Love it to bits and pieces. Although the lift-the-flap concept may seem very early childhood, the content is absolutely for older children. Love that this book takes a risk in that regard because WHO doesn’t like to lift a flap to see what’s hiding. I had a ball and I’m certainly not a kid.
First day of pandemic leave/social distancing due to Covid-19 and I decide to pick up a book about the periodic table! Just a normal day hey!? Haha.
Firstly, wishing everyone impacted by this unforeseen virus a speedy recovery. Stay safe and positive everyone!!
Secondly, I am going to use this time to get back into reading as I feel like I have dropped off for a few days now.
This book was actually epic!! It deserved nothing less than 5 stars. This gem was actually so interesting, informative, e ...more
