I love this book. The artwork is great, the examples are very helpful and I believe I flat out stole the scripting style shown in this one for my own works. = P

Joking (and theft) aside, this book covers a little bit of everything. It starts out with a very short history of comic books and strips and provides small clips from various different titles from the US and abroad to help illustrate topics. It also takes you through the creation of a short comic to show you the ropes and how one can apply the concepts to an actual product. It's one of the better How-Tos out there on the subject and a personal favorite of mine. Absolutely worth a read.

A comprehensive book on doing sequential artwork for comic strips, comic books and graphic novels. Covers all the tools and techniques - scripts, penciling, inking, lettering etc. Some great examples by top notch artists

Great summary. Just what I wanted. Clear, informative, intelligent. I think this would be just as interesting for a fan of comics as someone who is interested in making one.
