An Eight-Step Program for Overcoming Anxiety Anxiety disorders cause untold suffering, and they affect one in four people. This book offers an eight-step practical program for fast and long-lasting relief of anxiety symptoms. Grounded in the authors' own treatment of thousands of clinically anxious people, The Anxiety "The Anxiety Cure is a warm, wise, and thoroughly wonderful book for people with anxiety disorders and for everyone who cares about them." —from the foreword by Jerilyn Ross, MA., L.I.C.S.W., President, Anxiety Disorders Association of America, and author of Triumph Over Fear. If you are reading this review, and you have anxiety, GET THIS BOOK AND READ IT. No, really, I'm dead serious. It has changed my life.
This is a great book! I have had social anxiety for many years, and from reading this, and volunteering at our local library, spending most of my time at the front desk, I have seen significant improvement. I picked this book up from the library shelf after having an anxiety attack which left me in tears. That was my wake up call. As I caught my breath and dried my tears in the break room, I decided that I had had enough. I went to the shelf where I knew this book was, checked it out to myself, and vowed to read it. It took a couple of renewals, but I got through it, and I am amazed at the results.
If the author of this book is reading this, THANK YOU! I don't know you, I have never met you, but you are AMAZING! I bow to you in humble respect, I can't tell you how happy this book has made me. I had resigned myself to staying the same anxious person I have been for most of my life, for the rest of my life. I can't believe how different my life is now. I never thought I'd feel this happy or free.
