A little more quirky than clever, How Hemlines Predict the Economy is still a pleasant way to spend an afternoon. There's not much philosophical meat here, but FitzSimons' observations and theories are enough to make you think, and are sure to make you laugh. It didn't change my life, but then again, I'm not sure if it was supposed to.
