This was one of the best travel guides that I have read. I enjoyed the detailed descriptions and illustrations. I also thought it was nice that they provided walking tour ideas and itineraries for 1, 2, and 3 day trips. This book has me pumped for visiting Stockholm!
one of the better travel guides i've used. lots of pictures are good for short attention spans! my only complaint is that their description of junibacken didn't make it clear that people without toddlers should skip it. heh.
All the DK travel books are gorgeous, full color and, as they say they "show you what others only tell you. This and the book on St. Petersburg were gifts from Michele's mom before we went to Scandanavia.
Ok, but I found I prefer the Lonely Planet or Fodor's guides, which give sample walking tours, itineraries, and highlight must-see sites. Didn't see any of that in here.
