After waiting all this time for this book, I'm really disappointed. This book didn't explain anything about Nasir! It didn't give me any different prospective of his life or why he is the way he is. I was really a continuation of Lauren's book
Ok Nako writing skills are always on point but what I can't understand for the life of me is why have us wait that long just to basically reread what we've already read. I was expecting more but this was kinda how the last book left off , so now I have to wait a while to read the actual book that I initially thought I was going to read. I know it said there will b some repeated scenes but I wasn't expecting the whole book to b almost the same as the last one. If I would have known that I would have just waited until book 2.
Chileeeee 😩🤬Nasir had one more time to tap dance on my last nerve!! lol! You know this book was perfectly titled - Lauren and Jordyn resented the relationship that each shared with Nasir. And honestly, neither of them had a “one up” on the other! They were both losing!! Nasir has it all, money, power, respect - but the man is BROKEN! And it’s not fair that he was dragging both women down with him. He literally has no inkling about the harm he’s caused both women. I will say, my favorite scenes were the Underworld scenes because it brought all the characters together and we got see their interactions and the testiness of their relationships.. I’m onto the next book!
My oh my I have waited for this forever. this book is amazing. let just say this love triangles is a mess. Nas say that he loves Jordyn, and care about Lauren, when Nas met with Farren she said he need to choose the one he cant live without. Nas can go months without seeing Jordyn but can take being away from Lauren no more than 2 days. I really think that he loves Lauren and really wants to be with her, but it is like he is almost ashamed to claim her. Jordyn really think she has one up on Lauren when in reality Jordyn is the side chick. I feel it in my soul that Jordyn had something to do with ben's death I mean look at what she did when it came down to Nia doing Lauren dress. Nas Is one confused man but deep down in side Lauren is where he wants to be and needs to be. I Really cant wait for part two I would like to know what is up with his migraine and the white stuff coming out of his eyes as well as the blood that he cough up. this is a really good book with life lesson in it.
This read was EVERYTHING & MORE!! FIX IT JESUS!!! I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL LAUREN BRING NAS TO KNEES & TO THE POINT OF NO RETURN. I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL LAUREN DROP KICK JORDYN DEAD IN THE THROAT. I was not disappointed at all. Nako has NEVER EVER disappointed me. She always delivers. Her little nuggets of inspirations & heartfelt messages always bless my soul. They really give me insight. I really enjoyed this deep, crazy, & phenomenal emotional rollercoaster & I anticipate Resentment II. NAKO YOU ARE TRULY AN AWESOME, GIFTED, & REMARKABLE AUTHOR!
I don't know where to begin but I must say Nako has done it yet again! This book was everything I expected and more! I must say I can't stand nas and his selfish behind! He deserves neither one of these ladies and he knows it! I can't wait to read part 2

I'm going to fight Nako, and I ain't even violent!! So this book 📖 should have what redeemed or explained Nasir's actions? 🤦🏾♀️
Okay, he is a lunatic and he fell "in love". However, even if you tried to experience the relationship through Jordyn's eyes, you are biased by 4 previous books of the damage this man has caused!
Then, because the author was bored, she randomly suggested her one healthy couple had an affair. Then left it at that!
I am STILL confused 😕 as to what exactly happened with MJ and Papa. You got your homie gang rap--d but it's business as usual 🤬? ? Let's not touch that! WTF! the story lines don't even line up to his book!
Rob, he was a dog to his wife but his colleagues, his "family", ninjas like Papa, they weren't loyal and he didn't deserve to get done like he did. Let me tell it Papa doing way worst! Which, again, has me thinking how does this book line up to his book.
The next book looks to be a significant time jump 🤦🏾♀️. So clearly no answers will be revealed.
This book is...fantastic! It let us know sooo much, the little things you needed to know and needed to know. I'm DEFINITELY still team LoLo!!! I never disliked Jordyn, but this book made me totally not dig her at all. She acted real childish to me. I couldn't get with that. I love what Nas and Lo have together but he's poison. He took advantage of Lauren, left her for Jordyn. And for what??? To end up regretting it? To be literally sick without Lauren? Like if thats not love, to actually be sick without someone. Miss someones company, the little things they do for you just because they love you. Jordyn didn't even know her "man's" born day. This book was everything!!! I have so much to say lol I cant wait for part 2!!!!
When I started this story it was not only to continue with the lives of the UnderWorld, but it was to get an inside look at the other side of Nadir and his relationship with Jordyn. In this story we get to see Nadir up to his same old tricks of manipulation. We also get clues and looks into were there are snakes and they are lurking around and in the making. This was good writing and the pace never lets up.Throughout this story I can't stress how I don't like Jordyn, but I can somewhat understand her actions.I love that we also get to look into the lives of the other members.I have to say I would really love to get a peak into Sean's life.If you are reading this series you definitely picked a good one and if not then same on you for not knowing.
All i can do is laugh i feel like my life is caught up all in Nas secret circle, it's like he didn't get to enjoy his life to the fullest because he spent so much time trying to manipulate everyone into being loyal when i feel they would of been loyal without the mind games. At least he wasn't as heartless towards Lo foreal he just ain't know what he wanted. But this book did make me hate Jordyn more than i already did, she was pointless, besides her connects with the lawyer and judge because most of the time he was with her he was missing Lo cuz she aint want to be side line. The only time he was really happy with Jordyn was when Lo was happy still and didn't know about j so I feel like if he never did Lo dirty and focused on her he could of beeeeeeen happy
Okay so this book is pretty lengthy and you need to make sure that you have time set aside to dedicate to read it. Resentment is about 3 people in a lover’s triangle who are bitter for reasons that are similar and different. Nasir is bitter because he confused and want his cake and ice cream at the same time. Jordyn is bitter because she wants to be a mother and her man don’t want a kid. Lauren is bitter because she is never the first option for the man who is her first option. I am enjoying the story being told from different perspectives and the new information that I’m getting but with each book I have more newer questions like “jade cheating?! 😮 never” “Wdf happened between Papa and MJ for real”. The ending had the biggest smile on my face. Lauren check mates Jordyn ass. Game over!
Nano has instantly become one of my favorite authors. This book and the previous one inspired such visceral emotions from me. In my opinion a great author is one that can introduce you to her character and you become a part of the crew, sucked in to the storyline invested in the fate of these people as if you've known them forever. I love the dedicated, consistent, no matter what kind of love that Malachi has for Jade. I absolutely love Papa's craziness and the crazy love he has for Demi. Now Mr. Nasir King is a narcissistic sociopath. I kinda want to love him but he is a big toxic manipulative jerk. I am ream Lauren. I want all the happiness in the world for her at this point.
The series captured my attention and I was looking forward to reading this installment but also anxious cause I knew big things were going to.happen. but what I got... DISAPPOINTED that I felt like I was rereading a previous book. I kept hoping the different POV of the exact same past would.end and new material would.come but it didn't happen. No progress ... The storyline is so interesting and I want to finish but don't know.if I have it in me to waste the hours to.get nowhere again. I'll take the cliff notes for the rest of the series and just skip the merry go round. The authors writing is fantastic and the story line is very captivating
Jordyn has prided herself on being the only woman that Nasir King need. Never bothering to adhere to the signs that was given to her she continues to fight for a title that will never be Awarded to her . She decides to fight to fire with fire but only ends up getting burned. All she is left with are feelings of resentment.
This series has been entertaining so far. Loving the updates on the characters. Although I understood the reason for the past events. I found myself skipping over them. Will continue the series.
There wasn't a new prospective in this book nor did I learn anything new that I already didn't know from the previous book; however, I will continue to read this series. Who killed Ben? I don't think he would have killed himself; moreover, the women in Nas' life are certifiable! I don't think Nas knows the difference between love and possession. He wants to totally have possession of a woman ... control her everything and that's not love! I think this is an amazing storyline but could use some tweaking for grammatical errors and content!
I don't think I ever hated a male character more than Nasir. The way he treated Lauren was dispicable. He like most men thinking it's okay to have your cake and eat it too. Giving Jordan all the things Lauren taught him blew me. The saying you never miss a good thing until it's gone rings true and Nasir finds out the hard way. Lauren is headed towards her happily ever after and will Nadir a accept it or do something about it. Knowing Nasir you already know the answer.
Boy I tell you the more I read this series, the better it gets! Jordyn and Lauren are both stupid if you ask me, why would you love an individual who really don't love you! Nasir King wants his cake and wants to eat it too! So many unanswered questions still! Did Jade really cheat, who killed Benjamin, how did Nasir really gain custody of Ramone, who was Neema? I can hardly stop reading this series, I must get to the end so I can have all these questions answered! Still some grammatical errors but this is a great series for real!
Nako pen game is so deep and passionate that it captures you and hold you hostage until the end! Nas is really selfish and I believe karma will have the final say. We as women must know our worth but because we love hard as we are naturally emotion filled creatures it's hard to let go of the one who holds our heart. I am team Lo and though my heart goes our to Jordyn she out of order on so many levels! I can't wait for Part 2
This is Nasir & Jordyn's story of their accidental meeting, falling in 💘 and the full relationship woes. It was my least favorite only because of Nas hypocritical shenanigans. Both women, Lauren & Jordyn, should have dropped Nasir King on his head and walked away. We got a lot of background info (repetitive) in Book 6 and it was just an ok read.
First of all I hate Nasir. And why in the book with Miko and Lauren they made their friendship feel like everything but in this book it felt like nothing. Nas is an ass and need to make up his mind Lo or J pick one and work on that one. Also these book was going from Past to current to Future. I’ll be happy when Polo gets killed. It’s so much I wanna say about this book. I’ll continue reading.
while i love the story, it is very confusing to keep up with. each book is written at a different time going back and forth it’s is not consistent with the time frame making it hard to keep up. the books also repeat the same stuff over and over and i think that is due to the time period switching back and forth every chapter. again, i like the story but this is making it hard to read.
Loving this series but Lot of recaps in this book. I was hoping to get a better understanding of Nas but he honestly just makes no sense. Every trait that he claims he dislike about Lauren, Jordan possesses but worse. Has sympathy for Jordan for the same thing he did to Lauren except he did Lauren 10 times worse . Honestly, he ruined them both and act confused. So far, I hate all the characters with the exception of Demi, Papa. Malachi, Lo.
I'm so tired of Jordyn. She's as gullible and naive as they come. He woman cats needs to be revoked, cause she doesn't exercise her God given intuition. Can't feel sorry for her at all. Nasir face and name should be under selfish in the dictionary. Chi loves Jade, but Jade is damaged goods. But I'm ready for the connection with Chi and Lauren.
This had the usual underworld drama. I like leaning more about each character in each book. Jordyn story is very complicated I feel sorry for her sometimes and other times I wish she would wake up. My only complaint is the book was a lot of repeat from Lauren’s story. However in the authors defense she did give that warning. I still love this series!
Nasir is the biggest jerk off ever! I have a love hate feelings towards this man! He couldn’t just let Lo go could he! I’m a new reader of this series finally! I think i have the hang of it cause I was confused with the retelling of events especially with Rod included! But I’m pushing ahead! Great work Nako
The saying goes, a women should not love a man more than he loves her. For some reason that really rain true because he treats you differently. Nasir is the definition of a certified f boy. A really good read. I just wish that the sister got the happily ever after they deserved.
This book from the other perspective was dope and glad that things are slowly coming together. I am definitely team Lo and Jordyn lost me this book totally bc how dare you not blame the man who is doing all of this!?? Nasir King uh uh uh is all I can say!? Ready for the next book!!
Oh my God I can't take another story with Jordan, Nas and Lo I'm sick of this love triangle especially sick of Jordan. I feel like I'm being beat in the head with the same story from the previous book can we move on there are other people in the Underworld to write about Sheesh.
This is the story of Nasir and Jordyn and how they met and fell in love. Jordyn is young and innocent going to school and she meets Nas. Lauren is still in the picture will she ever break away and do her who knows? Lauren and Jordyn have more in common than just Nasir.
