OK, I liked Baylee more in this book and the whole secret society was actually interesting and fun and the scavenger hunt was interesting, but what really shot this down was the whole lack of resolution. Baylee doesn't ever explain why she emailed his dad and Logan never acknowledges that she never spent that money and that she didn't really want a billion dollars. Also, Baylee totally glosses over the whole thing with her dad stealing that spa day. Yeah he gives her money in the end, but it's nowhere near what he took even from the start and he never admits wrongdoing. I dunno that speaks volumes to me about the type of person he is. I don't feel like this book wrapped up well at all. Also, how in the world would Baylee be able to send her money to Logan? How does she have his account? Did she glean it from the documents? I just don't get it. Then there's the fact that even after she gave him her entire life savings he takes 2 weeks to follow her... And instead of any talk between them there is this convenient car accident to just wipe it all away so that no one has to be honest or actually talk about the challenges between them. Just kind of ruined it for me. OH and why did they need a divorce OR a settlement that is what an annulment is for...duh.

Baylee has gone to stay with her best friend Tyler aka Sax as he has offered her a spot in their band, but of course Baylee keeps turning it down but wanting a break this summer, she heads to spend time with him and in-between record a flute solo for his album and who knows she may get to earn some extra money this summer doing what she loves - playing her flute. During her stay with Tyler, it seems he has more friends coming to crash at his place as Kira, Drake, and Logan turns up for the Summer Vacation. Logan is the picture of wealth, but of course, with wealth comes family ties and dysfunction. At the moment, he holds the reigns of his family's record company after his mother passed away and left it to him. His younger brother has a record, but Logan wants him out, and of course, his step-mother is holding everything up as everyone wants a piece of financial gain and everyone expects something from Logan just because he is wealthy. That is everyone except Baylee who isn't impressed by the fact he has money and is some celebrity. Baylee, however, is about to discover how the other side live when she is invited to a social club - wealthy version of a Scavenger Hunt held by Logan and his friends. At the beginning of the hunt, everyone must work in pairs, and they must write what they want to win and have most in the world on a bit of paper. Baylee writes One Billion Dollars and pairs up with Logan. The last one standing wins their ultimate wish. Anything can happen on this scavenger hunt as Baylee is about to discover when it comes to the ending and she finds herself not only a billion dollars richer but also with a different surname. How much trouble can the wealthy get when the sky is the limit? Find out in An Accidental Billionaire by Emily Evans.

The thing that this book was all about, Baylee becoming a billionaire, happened at 3/4 of the book. So the ending was very quick. A little weird.

This book was so much better than I expected. I started it because of a recommendation and when I got to the end I went and brought all the other books in the series. The story was well written and fun, the idea of a giant scavenger hunt round Vegas is actually pretty exciting and the clues were well thought out, tricky but not impossible. I would and have recommended this book to others.

It was light giddy romantic novel. It's good to read it after finishing an action thriller series.

the uniqueness of the story gave way to a higher review than the others since the previous ones are way too cliché and have similar books. this one, although a little clichéd too, has a few unique parts (like the secret society game) that struck out.

still disappointed with how these people fall in love easily. and they're still 17! they get way more action than me. so that's an issue.

it also talks about real life issues here and there so you can relate even if you don't have a Billion dollars in your account or not mingling with Billionaires.

Normally I love Evans work, though I haven't marked them all on Goodreads (I really need to) I've read her entire cannon. She's a favorite when I want a cute teen romance that might be a little far fetched, but is guaranteed to leave me with a smile.

This book however, not so much. There are mistakes and there's crossing the line. Mistakes happen, with atonement they're forgivable but I'm not all into the instant forgiveness for something that I personally would have a hard time forgiving. Also insta-love doesn't even begin to cover it in this book.

I'll give you that Baylee and Logan feel an instant attraction, yep that happens to people all the time. But they don't don't they have almost no communication and while this girl has worked all her life to earn her college education, to earn the money to pay for college, when things blow up he costs her her college fund. Yes she gets it back because the story must have a happy ending, but her boyfriend is a billionaire. He doesn't understand the blood, sweat and tears of earning it in the first place. He's not responsible for her getting it back, but he is responsible for her losing it. All of his friends are assholes. His family is a nightmare and the two of them never really talk. So forgiving him when he shows up? Seriously? Car accident or not it makes me lose all respect for the character that he did nothing to earn her forgiveness, the he still doesn't appreciate what his mean spiritedness cost her and that somehow I'm supposed to believe they live happily ever after. Nope, not happening.

The plot is far fetched, but that's not what I have a problem with. I have a problem with reading yet another book where the hero is an asshole and the heroine forgives him and falls in love with him anyway. There's nothing romantic about dating a jerk, millions of girls and women date jerks everyday and nobody's swooning over their lives. I'm not swooning over the lives of these characters either. Ms. Evans I really expected better from you. I gotta say while I love most of the series this particular installment just leaves me disappointed that I spent the time reading it.

I can't say this book was 'worth the read' becuase it really feels like it... wasn't somehow.... I just read it to finish off the series but to be honest, the characters were very out of the way and the story was so rushed by the end. The first three books in the series were gold, and the 3rd was tarnished gold at that, and we've just gone down from there. Maybe the novelty wore off? This girl had way more moves than a country bumpkin should..... but it worked.

It was only ok in my opinion - and I read it to be loyal to Ms. Evans - I read the first four like an addict, I should honor the commitment right?

I feel like this isn't a long enough or helpful review, but at the moment that's all I got.
I do like how all these books really were 'A fun, YA romance', honest advertising here for you.

Thanks for reading this review, I hope it added some perspective.

*Insert snappy one-liner*!

Some minor spoilers below but tried to keep them minor.

So, I did enjoy this one, but it's not as good as the other Accidental series books. And I still found the story very disjointed. There were a lot of jumps that I had to fill in myself in order to make the plot "linear" and for it to make sense. The game didn't start until well into the book, and I can't help my frustration when Baylee refused to tell Logan the truth about a few things in a critical moment. And if her dad came from money, why was he always asking for hand outs? I don't recall reading he was disowned but maybe I missed that.

Maybe this book just needed another 50-75 pages to pull it together better.

It also didn't help that I wasn't a big Baylee fan. She seemed very stuck in her perceptions and prejudices. Why can't she record a flute solo? Because she wants it to be perfect. And then when she finally records it, the story is glossed over. I also can't believe how much money she makes doing two songs.

Is this one of those amazing books that you feel in your soul? No. But I really enjoyed it. It was far fetched and fun. It's the kind of book that makes you smile. I liked that the romance/love wasn't quite that. It was that weird, cute, and sort of awkward phase when you're barely getting to know someone but so far you really like them.
I think this is my go to type of book when I want to read but am not ready to dive into the books that will make me feel too much. You know the ones...the ones that people love and maybe you end up loving it too, but its not a light read...the ones that turn your stomach in knots.

Interesting story

It was an interesting story line. The story would have been unbelievable if my dad had not told me how he, as a young man, would bet on all kinds of unusual things or events.
It's worth a read.

2 Stars.

This story has the elements, I think, to make it great. A fun cast of characters and a crazy, entertaining storyline. My biggest issue with this story and why it didn't live up to the first book in the series (by far my favorite!) was my issues with the plot. It just didn't flow well, and I felt like there were quite a few plot holes. With more editing, I think the story could be just as good as the first. As it stands right now, however, the story was okay and made me want to reread the first book again.

Having loved all of the other books in the series, I was very excited to read this one, but ended up feeling disappointed. I was quite confused at several points and didn't really understand the entire plot. Also I hated *SPOILER* that Logan just gives away her college fund and then she forgives him later.

This series is my guilty pleasure.
I loved seing a glimpse of the life of Aria and Sax lead now that they are famous.
But getting a glimpse of how Logan lives was a treat.
Even though these weren't my favourite characters and that it took a little while to get interesting, I enjoyed reading about the challenges they had to go through to be winners.

I wanted to like this, really I did....

But it was a really disappointing read. Finishing it was more of a chore, really. I read all the remaining "Accidental" books, and they were all delightful. This one, however, was missing the spark, the magic, and any semblance of reality. I'd recommend passing on this one and just reading the others.

I'm older than the average reader should be but this was fun and smart. I think there was a great romance and some parents who learned their lesson the hard way. You'll love the partnership friendship these young adults develop. My first but not last, Emily Evan's book.

Vegas

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas unless he follows you home! There were a lot of really great scenes!
There was one part near the end that I don't like. Well I don't understand. How do you trust a dad that takes as much as he gives. He would have to do more than he did.

Upon reading the first few chapters, I feltI was lost. Like there's something missing from the chapters. Even thought that I missed some. But weirdly it has an intrtesting plot, quite amusing even.

I love Logan. I do.
And Baylee and Logan suit each other well, and I like this book pretty much, but unfortunately not as much as others. Don't get me wrong, the book is still pretty fascinating, but I just kinda wished some parts could be arranged and written differently.

What I don't like about this book that cost a star (personal opinions):

1. Baylee's dad should get PUNISHMENT. MORE SERIOUS PUNISHMENT.

2. I was hoping Baylee could move enroll at Stanford. She had good grades! Get a scholarship or use her money since that she's a millionaire now! I also thought she could do some part-time music pieces with her flute.. and become a billionaire again

3. What happened to his dad and Cleo afterwards? 2/3 of the book emphasized that "his decision by Friday" was important. Well, he made his decision, and I get that drama came and took his focus. But what about his dad? Tate?

4. Logan to Texas Tech? Well um. I might need to re-read the story again, cause I can't remember what he will do with his company after enrolling in Texas. STANFORD TO TEXAS TECH. That's...bold move..

I've restarted this book a couple times now, trying to finish it.

The thing that makes me lose interest is the part where she just grossly interferes and invades his privacy by Wtf? This is so incredibly invasive and far beyond the realm of normal or acceptable behavior to me that I cannot relate and cannot take an interest in what happens to the heroine after that.
