Yesterday I felt very much that I needed a paranormal cozy read, thanks to my friend Lisa K I found Witch Way to Mintwood by Addison Creek. It was just what I needed. This book was the perfect cozy witch story. This was an unexpected wonderful read. Sometimes you can just tell by the cover, and I was drawn to this one! The story is a great one and the mystery pretty good too! The main character is a reluctant town witch, who returns to her childhood home after her grandmother dies. Living with her best friends in a rambling and falling down house would be drama enough for any cozy but this witch can see and talk to ghosts! I simply loved this. I would and will read this series. A fantastic find and I am thankful to Lisa K for pointing me in this books direction. Currently offered at 99 cents on Amazon and worth every penny and more!

The First Witch of Mintwood Mystery
Upon the death of her grandmother Lemmi returns home to become the new Witch of Mintwood. While trying to save the town's historic barn on behalf of two young ghosts, she's also charged with protecting an old high school nemesis, Gracie. When Gracie disappears, Lemmie looks to her two best friends and a ghostly cat to solve the mystery. Lemmi will do her best in her new role, despite living in a dilapidated property filled with ghosts and roommates, multiple boyfriend issues, and the fact that she doesn't know much about being a witch.
I love the premise of this book, a witch unfamiliar with her skills having to answer to the many ghosts she encounters. While the characters of Paws and Funnel are delightful, the humans appear somewhat juvenile. There are a lot of storylines and subplots running through the book, and, while interesting and not difficult to follow, the book would have been better served with concentration and further development of only one or two. Although fast paced and fun, the writing is somewhat disjointed and clunky.

An Interesting, fun read
The book is really a fun, light bit of reading. I loved the premise,and the story, while rambling at times, was well thought out.

This was truly a very cute and sweet read; a likable, light read! Through the story we learn about Lemmi who came into her genetic witch-hood as a teenager, but after her grandmother passed away had not learned, or taken the want, to truly become one. Having her hand forced into looking into a mystery that had yet to happen we follow Lemmi into her world of being able to see the tell tale ghosts and keeping her witchy ways a secret to those that question her. As she delves into the mystery further she stumbles on everything from old friends and flames to even more mysteries. Witch Way to Mintwood had me wanting more, leaving me with so many unanswered questions. As the first book to a series, the author, Addison Creek, did a great job building the platform in which the rest will be written off of. This was also a very clean read, YA and very cozy with just hints of blush. I would be very comfortable allowing my tween daughter to read this. I can't wait to read the rest of the Witch of Mintwood Mysteries that follows Lemmi, Greer, Charlie, Deacon, Jasper, and, of course, Paws (my favorite character!).

+ I liked the girls and the mystery was fun, difficult to figure out the solution which is always a good thing. The ghosts were enjoyable too.
- I would have liked to have seen at least a bit of magic considering it's a book about a witch.

Excellent light reading with one complaint from me
Once again we have a fairly clueless young woman who is suddenly the witch of Mintwood. In all fairness, she is motivated, just not toward her witchiness. So far it's more the ghost talker of Mintwood; everything else witchy is locked in the attic. That's a bit disappointing, but she does actively solve a pretty good mystery and solves a very cold case at the same time. I hate to complain because it is a pretty entertaining book, but I read books with the word "witch" in the title because I want to read books about witches, not about girls who lock their witch inheritance in the attic. I cry foul here. Perhaps the author wasn't ready to write about witches. If so, just write a ghost whisperer story. I sure hope she unlocks that attic soon!

This is an introduction to a town and world where witches and ghosts interact. The ghosts are not so bad, although they can have bad attitudes and be mischievous, unless a dark witch influences them.
Our heroine, Lemmi, is not a dark witch, in fact, she is still figuring out what being a witch means. The "powers" skipped a generation so she can't ask her mother and her grandmother, a reknowned and adored witch, passed on without teaching Lemmi all she needs to know. So Lemmi inherited a house and some magical supplies, and a boggle of ghosts including one very special cat.
It is a quick paced read involving a mystery, some not so true clues, and left over feelings about high school relationships. Not a traditional cozy yet not the usual in paranormal reads either.

Few people know her secret, though many ghosts (with whom she can interact) know, and they come to her with their problems; her two roommates, Charlie and Greer, know, and they pitch in where they can. Her great grandmother's cat is a ghost who hangs around, too, sometimes helping, sometimes just observing. The main characters, including Lemmie, seem very young, much younger than their 20s. Maybe that's what it's like in their town. When one of their high school classmates goes missing along with a valuable jewel, Lemmie is called upon by the girl's ghostly grandmother to solve the case, which she does, with varying levels of success.

Omg
I was going to abandon this book because it was so boring reading g it. The story was Dragging with every page and chapter so I started to only read the dialog for awhile u too there was an actual improvement in the case. Towards the last three chapters I slowed down to read at a normal pace, at this time I felt the story became interesting. I was planning to give the book up at first and not read any of the others but the ending caught my attention. Jasper seems to be a character I'd like to see more of and find out all about his back story to present interest, as for that mysterious car already know who it is, so lets see if I'm right because Lemmi is going to be shocked at confused by it.

I enjoyed this book but there were also a lot of odd things about it. The story was told in the first person so we didn't get the name of the lead character until 6-7 chapters - Lemmi, short for Lemonia.

Lemonia in Charge
I enjoyed the high quality of writing from Addison Creek, the caracters are vibrant and challenged with thier every day lives,then you have the evening dealing with the gohsts that surround them well one person in particular Lemmi , since her grandmother's death I'ts her inherit lot as the witch of Mintwood to keep things in order .that lieves mysterys of all sorts to be solved. Along with her new roommates and her familiar a spirit cat Lemmi stugles to make life easier and safer for those of Mintwood. As I enjoyed reading this cozey from start to finish I now hope you to will aquier and enjoy " Witch Way to Mintwood ".☺🙄🤔😮🤔🙄☺Kat

I enjoyed the storyline. It has humour and sleuthing in an excellent way to keep you wondering what is going to happen next. I am going to have to read the next book to see how things fare with all three girls , and to see what mysteries they will find next. I am also curious about who is leaving the flowers at the grave, I think I might know, but I may be wrong.

The new witch of Mintwood has her hands full. Her grandmother’s farm house is falling down around her ears.
However, her two best friend move in which gives her rent money to work with at least. But the house also comes with a cast of ghosts to keep things hopping. Their worse enemy from high school disappears along with a priceless heirloom. If that is not enough, there is a string of burglaries that has the shop owners all worried they will be next.

Too cute
Take three best friends ,living in an old Farmhouse.. Oh,and one is a witch.. A witch that can not only see ghosts ,but can hear them as well, and you have got a crazy mystery to solve. Lemmie practically accosted by a ghost with a big problem. Lemmie does what she can,and with the help of the town's ghosts,she is able to solve the mystery.,and get the old dead Librarian off her case.

Playful but plodding
I liked the series well enough that I will certainly read the next installment. But boy did it take some fighting to get past the first few chapters. I really had trouble connecting with Lemmi, since we don’t actually get her name listed until 22% into the book.
Lemonia sure is an interesting name. About chapter... seven the pacing picks up. And the last three chapters are a whirlwind.

This book is short cute, and a fun read 🤗. I'm pretty sure she ends up with jasper pretty soon but I feel like I really dont see the chemistry between them so I wouldn't be surprised if she ended up with someone else. Just my opinion 🤷♀️ that's it lol. Besides what I have previously mentioned I will be continuing this series because I have always been a sucker for people being able to see ghosts and solving murder mysteries!!

Quirky ghosts & quirky non-ghosts hanging out, interacting. Just another day in Mintwood. This story carries several storylines side by side, and they all work. Every character seems to know just when to step aside so that the next can take up his/her/its place in the dance. I really enjoyed how well the whole thing was done, and will be looking forward to my next visit to Mintwood.

Good start on a series
Cute story set in a town where everyone is apparently smoking hot. Could use a little more detail on what being a witch involves, other than the ability to see and speak with ghosts, not to mention the back story on Grandma and the Wolf family. All in all though, I probably will buy the next one.

Enjoyed this Book
It was very good. It had 2 of my favorite things, mystery & ghosts!! I would like to read the other series about Mintwood (prior time to this one), as well as the next one in this series, but I just can't afford to buy all those books (even if they are eBooks). However, I do highly recommend this one.

Witch way tobMintwood
I really liked the characters and storylines in this book. Lemme is a witch who sees ghost. She is asked to check on the great granddaughter of a ghost. Her two best friends and her ghost cat Pass help her solve mysteries. I would recommend this book to people who like to read paranormal mysteries.

Fun trip!
Enjoyed this fun trip to a quaint small town, where everyone knows everything...or so it may seem, until a series of robberies, a missing girl and a missing pearl turns the town upside down! That is, until the new witch of Mintwood and her talking ghost cat are on the case! Fun read!

Easy
This was an easy read, suitable for teens as the story is a bit juvenile, with the main characters acting like high school students talking about their boyfriends and being catty. This story could have been a bit more developed but if you are looking for something easy to read, this is a book for you.

This was a good cozy mystery. A bit fantastical but not pure fantasy. Good characters and settings. Some of the usual tropes you would expect in a cozy, but plenty of lovable characters including a ghost cat with horn-rimmed glasses. What more could you want in a fun summer read? I’ll be back for book 2!

Small town cozy mystery about a witch named Lemmie and her sidekick Paws the super sassy, sarcastic ghost cat. This book was so cute and easy to read. I definitely got Sabrina The Teenage Witch and Ghost Whisperer vibes (well, if Ghost Whisperer had been made by Disney). If you liked either of those shows you'll enjoy this one. I will definitely be reading the rest of the series.

It was ok, it was not that exciting. I kept having to read the pages over &over to make sense out of each page. Maybe the storyline gets better with more feom author.

A fun story. Girls, glam and friendly goats. A nice small town where everyone knows everyone and there family history's. Several story lines to keep you entertained and lead you on to the next story.
