What I actually liked the best of this book was the explanation of how some ingredients like oatmeal are helpfull to control the glucemic index of a meal. I also liked the idea of using quinoa in desserts, because until now I've only used it doing quinoa sort of patties that are quinoa mixed with bell pepper, onions, carrots, garlic and parsley. And I think the portion of the book that explains exercises and even includes working on balance or in knee pain, was really useful. This book is a very good initial guide for people wanting to take care of themselves or, in my case, of a family member that has diabetes (though healthier and balanced diets benefits all of us, tbh).
