Providing portraits of fifty diverse and outstanding women throughout the last two thousand years, a biographical treasury includes such women as Joan of Arc, mother Theresa, Cleopatra, and Golda Meir.
There are a lot of remarkable and inspiring women throughout history and it was interesting to read about a few. Most of the women mentioned I have heard of but there were a few that I had not. It was interesting to read about women who "colored outside the lines". Women who didn't follow the prescribed roles that life had given them. This was a library find and I'm glad to have found it.
A nice collection of “previews” of each of these amazing women. The essays give just enough detail to help the reader decide if they want to do more research.
Not great to read cover to cover, but would make a nice coffee table book.
Extremely informative if not a little bit outdated when it comes to the more “modern” heroines described which is to keep in mind. Overall I learned a lot and was very inspired by these remarkable humans!
