Once again my library failed me, not properly labeling this as a children's book in their online catalog. I'm sure if you are 8 or 9 this is a great book. What I'm most embarrassed about is that it came from a HIGH SCHOOL'S library! I'm glad I didn't go to that school if this is the reading level of their library's books...

This was an exciting look into a time and culture very different than our own in Mesoamerica where sacrificial offerings and war were common place. Readers will love all the interesting and memorable facts about medicine, gods & punishment. Additionally there are numerous art activities that go along with the material.
