Saved by the blog!

This just in, fair readers! Chic and stunning, that gorgeous new woman about town is none other than our very own little Ellie--now Elle--Owens. She's a far cry from the frumpy, bookish student we used to know, but then, living in Italy will do that to a girl! Still, this blogger can't forget the infamous video that caused her to leave!

Apparently Miss Elle has been spotted with yummy contractor Cam Dumont...but we thought her heart belonged to his little brother. Are Cam and Elle a new couple? They were seen cooling their passions in the bay...in April! If this is love, let's hope she's swimming with the right brother. The Bayside Blogger will keep you posted.

Book Review For: Falling for the Right Brother by by Kerri Carpenter Falling for the Right Brother by Kerri Carpenter My rating: 5 of 5 stars 'Falling for the Right Brother' by by Kerri Carpenter is book One in the "Saved by the Blog" series. This is the story of Cam and Elle with about 225 pages. Elle has just returned to Bayside, Virginia after going off to College then doing a Tour of Italy. The first person Elle sees is Cam who is Jasper's older brother. Jasper was Elle High School crush and she had done something very embarrassing when she attempted to let him know how she felt. So much so that her dad had encouraged her to leave the small town for a while to start fresh. Cam has come to pick her up at the airport to help her father out. Elle father has cancer but is still try to stay busy working some. Cam is taken back about how much Elle has changed. No longer is she wearing loose jeans and shirt and doesn't appear the 'bookworm' type anymore. Elle has waken feeling in him that no other women has. This was a sweet romance that I enjoyed and could see myself wanting to read this a second time. The appeal of Kerri Carpenter is that for every heartache, there proves to be a light at the end of the tunnel. Beyond the sadness lies a chance to smile again. Falling for the Right Brother never takes itself too seriously, yet manages to reiterate a number of adages that may seem cliche, but still ring true. The most important one: In order to achieve true happiness, acceptance of who you are is key. Cam and Elle proved that Ms. Carpenter can still wrap readers around her finger, with her trusty magic pen.

I received an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Falling for the Right Brother is a delicious mashup of Sabrina and While You Were Sleeping with a fun side dish of Gossip Girl.

After ten years of living in Italy, Elle Owens comes back to her small hometown to help her sick father, and she has to come to terms with the embarrassment that drove her away--namely a drunken (and very public) teenage declaration of love for the popular, rich boy, Jasper Dumont.

When Cameron Dumont is asked to pick up Elle from the airport, he's surprised to find a sophisticated and mature Elle has replaced the gawky teenager who had confessed her love for his younger brother all those years ago.

But, unfortunately, the people in the town haven't forgotten. They can't seem to stop talking about her old crush on Jasper. Maybe in a perfect world or even in a big city, Elle's past misdeeds wouldn't matter, but in a small town that feeds off gossip via the anonymous Bayside Blogger, Elle can't seem to shake her past in order to build a future.

Although Jasper starts paying attention to Elle--the kind of attention she'd only dreamed of in high school--there's only one problem. It's now Jasper's older brother Cam who stirs her feelings. He's the one she's comfortable talking to. He's the one that seems to get who she is down deep.

As Elle and Cam grow closer and share their dreams of the future, each begin to realize that the other one is a necessary piece to that puzzle.

I don't want to spoil the story by revealing too much, but this story has everything I love in a book. Not only does it have a great romance, but the secondary relationships are terrific too. I love the relationship between Elle and her dad. And the brothers are awesome. There's enough of the family dynamics that make it interesting without overpowering it.

This sweet romance has a touch of spice, plenty of emotion, budding friendships, and family loyalty all tied together with a fun mystery to solve throughout the Saved by the Blog series. Who is the Bayside Blogger who reports on the happenings inside their small town? I can't wait to find out in the next installment! Great new series!

Elle Owens has returned home after spending years abroad in Italy. However, it seems no one has forgotten about the embarrassing video that made her leave in the first place. Yet, there's one person that doesn't make her feel like a fool for what she did in the past and that someone is Cam Dumont, the brother of the guy she was in love with in school. Can Cam convince Elle to give him a shot at happy ever after?

What a fascinating and engaging read Ms. Carmichael has penned in this first story of her Saved by the Blog series, which started off wonderfully and had me liking Elle immediately, because she's changed from the shy girl she was in school and has done really well for herself. However, it was from the moment where she came face-to-face with Cam for the first time in this book, which made this story a real page turner for me. Because their chemistry is strong and had me determined to discover if they could overcome the fact that she had such strong feelings for his brother so long ago and what The Bayside Blogger would post about the pair.

As for the dialogue, it had me hooked due to the main characters back stories, what The Bayside Blogger reports, whether Elle can overcome her past and how she'll manage to do it when she's finally ready. The dialogue was also a wonderful mix of fun moments, especially when Elle does things that make the townspeople remember what she did in the past; and intense dialogue due to the heroine's back story as well as the tension between Cam and his parents because he ended up following his heart when it came to his career.

Both the main characters were compelling and drew me into the story due to their growing relationship and their back stories. No one makes it easy for Elle to forget what she did in the past, but she's determined to make it up to the one person that means the most to her, her father. Moreover, Elle has changed so much since high school. She's more confident and I loved how she helped people with her artistic skills and the enthusiasm and adoration everyone had for her work. Yet, I couldn't help but sympathize with her when it came to The Bayside Blogger posts and the way people still remind her of the most embarrassing moment in her life, which wasn't even her fault anyway.

While the hero, he's brave in the way he went against what his parents wanted for his life when it came to his career. I also liked how kind and caring he was to the heroine whenever she wasn't coping being the talk of the town and that he would do anything for his brother because their parents don't treat them as equals. But what I liked most about the hero was his determination to fight for their relationship when Elle wasn't ready, which led to a very interesting moment from the heroine that had me cheering for her. Since it was finally time to fight back against all that everyone was saying about her.

Lastly, the way this story ended was brilliant, as Elle was willing to fight for her relationship with Cam and I liked the way she did it, because it showed she's no longer afraid to set the record straight when it comes to what happened to her in school and it also shows how much in love she is with the hero that she could make such a public declaration. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up really well, because of what The Bayside Blogger is looking to do next and wanting to help. I would recommend Falling for the Right Brother by Kerri Carpenter, if you enjoy small town romances or books by authors Kat Cantrell, Vicki Lewis Thompson, Trish Milburn or Rachel Lee.

Elle Owens has finally come home to Bayside, after a 10 year self-imposed exile to Italy. But the moment she steps back into town, the "Bayside blogger" rehashed her embarrassing video, that send her running from Bayside in the first place, and boy, does it stir the locals up, in making fun of Elle, and her drunken declaration of love for Jasper Dumont.

Cameron Dumont strived hard to be self employed, to separate himself from his families money and company, no matter how much conflict in the family. Cameron is not only a amazing contractor, but he is a man of his word. So when Tom Owens asked him to pick up his daughter from the airport, but he doesnt expect to find sophisticated Elle waiting for her, he also didn't expect the town to still be talking about the video. But mostly he hoped that Elle was over his brother, as he wanted her all to himself.

Falling for the Right Brother is a light heart romance, that will have you in stiches! Oh my goodness I couldn't even tell you how much I laughed, while reading this book. The plot and w Rice hitting a light-hearted, sweet, and totally more-ish!

You will simply love Elle and Cameron's character's, they are totally the perfect match, but I have to tell you, I'm desperate to know who the blogger is?

I give Falling for the Right Brother 5 stars!

What can I say about this book to show how much I enjoyed it? My favorite thing is that I was entertained from the very beginning. I had an idea about the concept from reading the back cover info and the inside did not disappoint. I liked that it was a wonderful and witty mix of classic favorites of mine such as Saved by the Bell, Gossip Girl and the movie Sabrina. I've read other books by Kerri Carpenter and she has this fabulous laugh out loud humor that comes through in her stories but also gives you some very touching moments. And the secrecy of who this Bayside Blogger is! I loved that aspect too. It's a definite romance that will take you away and leave you feeling really wonderful and ready for the next installment! Highly recommend if you're looking for a wee bit of escapism and entertainment in your day.

I absolutely adored Elle and Cam's story! They fit perfectly. I love the back story and how they both grew. The chemistry between the two was evident within the first few pages of the book. It wasn't your typical long drug out getting to know each other before the realized they loved each other. This book was a comical well written romance. They both new the attraction was there and embraced it. I couldn't put it down. I had to know exactly what angle the Bayside Blogger was going to use next to try and get these two realize that this relationship was worth the risk and was going places. I can't wait to get my hands on the next one. Thank you Kerri Carpenter for this wonderful piece of entertainment.

10 years ago Ellie Owens left Bayside because of a shameful video and an awkward fall into the bay. Now she's back and all grown up, complete with changing her name to the more mature Elle. As she arrives home to care for her sick father she catches the eye of her long ago crushes brother, Cam.

I loved this book! I've been weary of Harlequin romance stereotypes lately, instead wanting to search out something new and fresh. The Saved by the Blog series hit every mark i was looking for. Cam is a modern guy ready for a relationship. He wasn't in love with Elle 10 years ago, secretly pining for her, no instead he noticed her, he admired her. And that detail is so much better.

Elle's inner conflict inspired me, it made me want to skip ahead and watch her confront her past demons of embarrassment over the video. I loved that the author made me feel bad for her instead of rolling my eyes at it still haunting her.

Overall I'd definitely give it 5/5 stars. I can't wait to read more

Falling for the Right Brother is a refreshing and fun story about a blogger whose postings are driving those in the town of Bayside a bit bananas.
A cleverly crafted and executed love story that involves secrets, a lot of comical relief and little spice make this a must read

Elle Owens must return home and is praying that no one remembers what happened in high school. However, when a blogger makes her front page news, she isn’t so sure.

Cam Dumont is the older brother of her high school crush and suddenly finds himself interested in the one woman he shouldn't. Will he be the one to uncover the truth about that night long ago? Is there a chance for him despite her interest in his brother?

Assumptions, secrets and lots of mystery with the town blogger... oh Kerri…we need to know! Perhaps this time, being in the newspapers might not be such a bad thing ;).

Who says you can’t go home again? In the kick off of Kerri Carpenter’s “Saved by the Blog” series, we meet a hometown girl trying to redeem her reputation and finding love when she least expects it! The town is cozy and the characters are fun to spend time with. Looking forward to reading more of the series!

Elle Owens is back home in Bayside, Virginia after years of living in Italy pursuing her art career. She left all those years ago utterly humiliated over high school drama, and now the busybody town blogger is stirring it all up again. She can’t catch a break!

Cameron Dumont is the older brother of the guy she crushed on in high school, and while she should be steering clear of the whole family amidst all this gossip, she can’t resist the pull Cams seems to have on her. He’s really easy to talk to and super sweet. Was she lusting after the wrong brother all this time?

One of the great things about these Harlequin romances, Everyone recognizes the books. This was my take to doctor appointment book for this week. I made it as far as the dentist, who had read it! That was enough for me. By then I knew which brother Elle had chosen.
The only thing that I did not discover was who the Bayside Blogger was. . . . .
