Vogue Make-up is the definitive make-up experience, covering everything from pedicures to powder, tweezers to textures and eyelash curlers to cosmeceuticals
I think the book was an okay comprehensive guide to putting make up on. I liked that they had unique little tips that I woudn't have thought of on my own. I liked that they had product recommendations so that I just go to the store and ask for it. Hwoever, i found it very frustrating that they would repeat themselves very often. Meaning, the same whitty line was used 5 times in one chapter . And it was very obvious too! Plus, although they had lots of good-looking pictures, none of them had any captions to tell you what makeup was used or what technique was supposed to be displayed in the photo. Also, the didn't have any diagrams to help you follow along with the steps, so it was kinda hard to picture what the brush or whatever was supposed to do and where to go.
"Vogue" has good insights into contouring and coloring for different skin types, and would be perfect for a young woman new to the world of makeup, not only to teach herself what works for her basic skin tone and face shape, but will give her ideas to experiment.
