This little excursion was temporary. It’d end. No attachment. He’d spend the week making sure she didn’t get caught up in a surfer douche with a lei drinking too much. She could get over her ex and then he’d be on his way. Protect her. Keep her safe. Not get involved.

I have a girl crush on Joya Ryan.

No no. It's true. The woman never fails to disappoint with a book that sizzles with sexual tension and a hero that I'll be salivating over. I've loved everything

Back before fifty I was a casual romance reader. I mainly read horror and crime, however having 4 really young kids and being a stay at home mum on one income those books were wickedly expensive even second hand when you read one a day. Mills & Boon/ Entangled and the like however were so cheap it was ridiculous. Infact I used to buy a box of them for $2 and they would last me a month. Now I am an obsessed romance reader and my poor Dean Koontz collection is in a box somewhere as I slowly add t ...more

I think Joya Ryan is very much aware of how much I love her books. In fact, I would say reading a Joya Ryan book will definitely leave a smile on anyone’s face. In her newest release, Fake Engagement Real Temptation, Joya Ryan turns up the heat as she has readers salivating for Blake Harris as he is the perfect mixture of sexy and sweet. What’s not to love about a story that has two friends who realizes that there is no faking it when

Fake Engagement Real Temptation was an okay read.
The writing was well done and the storyline engaging.
Blake and Carrie were likable, endearing characters and the sexy times were hot & steamy.
My only issue was with the time frame of the relationship, I found it hard to believe their feelings after such a short time together.

If you're looking for a quick and steamy read you'll enjoy Fake Engagement Real Temptation by Joya Ryan.

3.5 Fake Stars!

I liked the fact that we got a brother best friend trope that doesn't start out with a secret crush. Yes, they are both attracted to each other but there was no longing to be together. They bickered back and forth and that was pretty comical. Things change when they find out Carries cheating ex came on what should have been their honeymoon with the woman he cheated on her with. To save face, Carrie asks Blake to pretend to be her new lover. The duration of the story is Carrie and

Carrie and Blake were fun. I liked their chemistry, which was impressive from the beginning of the story. It can be difficult to write the "fake" relationship story lines that still have the connection with the lead characters. In this one, it worked really well. I believed the appeal, and the attraction, and the evolution of the relationship from fake to real.

I would have liked there to be more of the story with them in a "real relationship" and

I have really hit the book jackpot lately. Yet another amazing book under my belt for the year. AND I've found a new author to book-stalk, which is awesome.

I know that a book is super good when I have to force myself to stop reading so that I can write notes. Even when I give myself an ultimatum, I still have a difficult time putting the book down. But if I don't, I end up with what I did this time. I had one note. It said "5". Well that's not one bit helpful, right? Luckily, loving a book so m

The synopsis for this book was so very tempting. Fake relationship with your best friend's younger sister? Jilted bride? Fake Honeymoon? All things I enjoy in my romance, but all together at once? Too good to resist.

Carrie Morgan thought she had her full dream in sight - marry the ideal man who shared her interests and dreams, have the 2.5 kids and her own business. Unfortunately, her fiance dumped her two days before the wedding for his trainer, but Carrie is going to at least enjoy her fantasy

Though she's hurt and trying to hide it, she can look back and realize there were numerous signs that he wasn't the one for her. If you’re looking for some hot, easy, tropical island fun, then you might want to give this a try. It’s a best-friend’s little sister romance – but without the lifelong pining crush for a very nice change – with a narcissistic ex and his oblivious mistress showing up to spoil the fun, which of course leads to the fake relationship and plenty of sexy shenanigans. All of which made for an enjoyable if occasionally ridiculous read.

This was a fun read.

We have Carrie and Blake, they’ve known each other for years, but nothing ever happened. Then Carrie is left at the altar and he encourages her to go into the honeymoon anyway. And because he promised her brother to take care of her, Blake goes to the honeymoon as well. All that is fine and dandy, until she sees her ex with his new girlfriend, so she starts faking a new relationship with Blake to show her ex she’s fine.

Anyway, obviously things turn to more, because

This book was a quick, fun and flirty read. I liked the best friend’s little sister angle that was going on throughout and I think it added to the appeal of the book for me.

I really liked Blake. He definitely had the alpha male vibe going throughout the book and I was just as attracted to it as Carrie was. Watching him play out his role as fake fiance while trying-and failing-from falling for her was a real treat.

Carrie’s self esteem took a hard hit in the beginning

Carrie Morgan is a couple days away from pledging her life and love to the man of her dreams, Kevin. Unfortunately, he's not as dreamy as she's always believed. These are my Happily Ever After Novel Thoughts...

This is a read that shows you how to have fun in the face of adversity. In this book's case, the adversity is being left at the alter and then having to deal with the running ex and his mistress everywhere you turn while in Hawaii.

Thanks to Carrie's friend, Blake, she's able to keep her head above the emotional water.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a quick read and you could feel the change in emotions from fake to real in both characters. Bl
Pretty good! Blake and Lane have been good friends forever. Lane's family was there for Blake when his Mom died. Now it's time for Blake to return the favor. ARC Review: Fake Engagement, Real Temptation by Joya Ryan

Joya Ryan creates sensual delights. With Fake Engagement, Real Temptation she shows her skills as a triple threat. Blake and Carrie not only enticed with their bubbling attraction. Their friendship showcases the right amount of humor and memorable moments for a stroll down memory but the developing distance between them is enough to break the heart. It was obvious the motions were deep but the self -doubt were real. There is more to these

What an amazing story. The lead characters Carrie and Blake were absolutely adorable. The use of secondary characters, Carrie's ex Kevin and his mistress Wendy helped to build a believable relationship bond between Carrie and Blake. I also loved how sweet secondary characters such as Eve helped to show their softer sides.

The storyline was great and completely captivating. The great use of locations to build a strong timeline and the backstory of Blake and Carrie made it all the more believable.
If you like the fake to real and brother's best friend trope, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Blake and Carrie find they have good chemistry as they pretend to be in a relationship. This of course leads to actual feelings, but Blake being a stubborn male, makes a mess of things. The good news is he makes up for it nicely. Most of the story is predictable, but still fun. Lighthearted and sexy romance perfect for a quick afternoon read!
