1 Timothy & Titus: Fighting the Good Fight : 12 Studies With Commentary for Individuals or Groups

Rate this book
We live in a culture where the beliefs and preferences of the individual are given final authority. Paul's firm commitment to the church as "the pillar and foundation of the truth" stands against that trend. His letters to Timothy and Titus call us to reestablish the core beliefs of Christianity and affirm our convictions about the gospel. Paul's priority in these letters is to make sure that the truth of the gospel is faithfully guarded and delivered to the next generation. Through these studies, we will be challenged to carry on the battle, armed with the truth of the gospel!

If only I used this book when I was reading 1 Timothy with a brother last year. This book contains 12 studies and each study starts with a question to lure out the current practice or situation in the world and our lives regarding a topic for that particular study - and ends with applications that usually points back to the opening question.

The questions are arranged using the observe-interprete-apply structure, and are worded simply. Good book for at least two persons to use for their bible reading discussion if a bible-study book is helpful.

1 Timothy & Titus: Fighting The Good Fight (John Stott Bible Studies)

⭐⭐⭐ 3/5

Daily studies with John Stott are a great way to learn the meaning of scripture. John takes us through 1 Timothy and Titus and focusses on 'doctrine and duty' overall I enjoyed this study. These studies are great for groups and can also be done on your own.
