Wicca has changed my life. I've lost old friends, made new ones. Discovered my true heritage. Found love - and betrayal.

But there's so much more to learn. I know wicca can be used for good or for evil.

The hard part is knowing which is which.

I have got to admit that a decent amount of this book is predictable but I find myself not caring too much. These audiobooks are so easy to fly through and the story is pretty decent. It's not a literary masterpiece but it's a really cool supernatural witchy series and I'm enjoying the heck outta it.

The mystery and intrigue continue, the friendships continue to shift (most for the better in this book), and betrayal hasn't ended in Morgan's life. This girl is dealing with a ton of stuff and some

This wasn't a bad read, but despite these only being short, they're feeling longer with every one.

Today's review is on Awakening by Cate Tiernan

Awakening is the 5th book in the Sweep series, and as the last I found I really enjoyed it. Perhaps I am getting soft in my old age, but I did find myself smiling some and crying just a bit too.

Cal and Selene have fled town leaving Morgan with not only a hole in her heart, but a hole in her life. She tells her family simply that she and Cal had gotten into a fight and that she broke up with him. She then realizes that the birthday gifts that Cal had
Welcome to the book where nothing ever happens

Awakening is forgettable. It does not add anything to the overall plot, except some bits of drama and romance that were totally predictable. Morgan keeps whining all around, being dramatic and such. Hunter is all like "I kind of love her, I'm going crazy, she hates me, f*ck." And that's pretty much it, because the only "important" thing that happens (that wasn't really important) took place in the last 20 pages. The rest is yadda-yadda to fill the al

This series has a way of lingering after I put down each book, making me feel as though I'm living in it's world rather than my own, and that's a pleasant effect. I love this series. As you read each book, you grow more with the character. I can relate with the estrangement Morgan encounters when losing someone close to you, and the feelings are well interpreted in these books. Cate Tiernan is truly gifted. If your a fan of Lisa Jane Smith books you'll love this series!

Awakening feels like an in between book for the moment. There is some hint towards the main antagonist, the dark wave and whoever is controlling it, but this book doesn’t exactly focus on that. This is like a setup book. It’s setting up certain things that will become more important as the series goes on. Therefore, it’s not the most exciting book to be reading in the series. But the plot itself isn’t all that bad. The reader gets to see more about the world of witches

No real complain

The coven leader for Cirrus is gone, and everything seems to have been torn apart for poor Morgon who was literally just starting to learn who she was. The emotions are tragic and yet cliche of that which belong to a heartbroken teenage girl. But in many respects this is a good thing because of how it is shown, giving it this much deeper feel of reality. However there still seems to be some mystery behind Hunter and Sky. What I didn't expect was for there to be some mystery behind David from pra ...more

This is the fifth book of the Sweep series by Cate Tiernan. I feel like I'm going to enjoy it, but not like it will be an amazing read. Interested in the sweep series? Check out my previous reviews.

Previous books in this series:

2. The Coven
3. Blood Witch
4. Dark Magick

If Morgan didn't think she was traumatized enough as it was, she's even more upset with having to deal with the reality of the previous book's events. The boy she loved tried to kill her in order to save her from his mother's evil intentions. Her biological mother had an affair with someone that was decidedly not her mate Angus. Add onto this some blossoming feelings for the mysterious Hunter & it's no wonder that Morgan is feeling very overwhelmed.

This book serves as a great bridge between

This book is seriously all filler. I could have skipped it entirely and missed nothing at all. Except, of course, a budding new romance. Because Morgan can't be allowed to be single for more than two seconds.
I still have issues with this series. I have a love/hate relationship going. lol Certain aspects are brilliant and engaging, then I turn the page and feel a bit let down. Hunter, though, keeps me coming back. I will indeed finish this series regardless.
This book sweep is a fine book its not all that but its ok i like the frist part in this book because i like when books srats off like that a little letter or a poem like if it was a movie and some movie frist srat off like a note out loud to the actor self....

Recommends it for: fans of fast reads

This is a fun, fast pased series. I actually learned some about Wicca as a religion (taken loosely of course) instead of just the hocus pocus stuff that is usually what most of the books and movies tell about. The characters were fun and captivating. I was left wanting more and more.

This was another okay instalment, although we didn’t get much from Cal and Selena – I’m guessing they’ll turn up soon enough. We were left with a bit of a romantic cliff-hanger though.

Was a tad disgusted when the main character's heart falls for another guy in the simplicity of a few chapters. However, overall Cate Tiernan never stops impressing me with her work.

Love this series! + Hunter <3
drei sehr gute Sterne. Es ist mir ein bisschen zu wenig passiert in diesem Teil. Ich werde aber die Reihe definitiv weiterlesen!
This series is slowly but surely improving. It's really nice an to read if you want something quick and engaging.
Meh. I really hate this trend in YA where there's instalove, and the guy the girl liked first turns out to be evil, or at least not her "soulmate", and then the guy who was presented as EVIL is actually just a complicated guy that she instaloves right after finding out the first guy isn't the one for her. Here's a pro-tip, girls - don't believe loving someone at first sight tells you ANYTHING about who the person really is. And also, sometimes jerks are just jerks, not complicated sweeties that ...more

This book felt like filler to me. Morgan is just annoying an stupid throughout most of the book and the romance seems completely forced. I wasn't feeling it.

This wasn’t as good as the previous books but I think it’s all setting it up for more twists later. I can’t wait!
