His Crown Jewel is a historical romance written by Maggie Chase. It tells the story of the notorious madam Mistress, Emily Weatherspoon who is still in love with her first love Cyrus Franklin. When Cyrus suddenly appears in Brimstone where Emily's brothel is located many heads turn their way waiting for new juicy gossip.

I didn't like this book as much as the others I have read from this series. I did enjoy getting to know Mistress's backstory, and how Emily Weatherspoon ended up the madam of the Jeweled Ladies. However, it felt like this Mistress wasn't the same person from the other books, it could have just been my perception of the character, or the fact that the story is mostly told from her point of view, but this version of Mistress felt too "nice". I fell in love with this story it is about a second chance at love and what they have to go through to get it. I have not read anything else by this Author but I will now be keeping a look out for more of her books.I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
