Go to bed with Alpha Lone Wolf, Lucas Cruz...
Avery Montgomery is in the running to take over her father's multi-million-dollar company once he retires. Despite his faith in her, Avery feels a necessity to prove herself as a business-savvy woman in a male-dominated world. Besides summer internships at her father's company and graduating Somerset University with a honors and a Master's degree in Business, she has zero field experience. When the opportunity arises to invest in a Supernatural Registry application, Avery jumps at the chance. Her only competitor is Alpha shifter and self-made billionaire, Lucas Cruz. The man is arrogant, condescending, and drop-dead gorgeous.
Suddenly, Avery is being doubted by fellow businessman and her fiance, Rick Ashton, her mother, and her father's company. They all say the same thing: Experience is everything.
The problem is, Avery is a virgin in both the boardroom and the bedroom. Even Rick assumes she has some sexual experience under her belt despite her insistence on waiting to have sex until she's ready, and even tells her that he wouldn't want to waste his time teaching a rookie how to succeed in both business and pleasure.
But Lucas is different. Lucas offers to educate her in all areas of her life that need experience. Now, Avery must decide if she takes a chance on Lucas and his educational offer, despite the fact that it's still technically cheating. The only rule: feelings can't get in the way.
No big deal, right?
Warning: This book contains steamy scenes between a possessive Alpha male werewolf and a virgin.
Full disclosure: I am an acquired taste. I'm a typical blonde Orange County suburbanite who says 'like' more than necessary, laughs loud and probably obnoxiously, and loves to dance in the rain. I'm a 23 year old college graduate with more than a few tricks up my sleeve, and I also happen to be a pretty big Ducks fan. Oh, and I'm a writer. Like, for real.
Since stumbling across Heather C. Myers last year, I have read quite a few of her stories. Without a doubt, she always gives a thoroughly interesting read – and whilst some stories may be stronger than other stories, I cannot say there has been a story I have disliked to date.
An Education In Business is the third novel in the Somerset series, the first series by the author I picked up. Having read and loved the two prior books, I was super excited for this one. Truthfully, it’s my least favourite in the series. Yes, it’s a fun read; however, it wasn’t quite the high of the two prior books. Each is an individual standalone novel, each adds something different, and a part of me missed some of the aspects touched upon in the first two novels.
This third book in the series has a very different feel to the two prior books. Whilst it gives us another werewolf story, it doesn’t play out in the way the two prior books did. The two prior books dealt more with the divide between the supernatural world and the human world, giving us a story of those trying to keep the world safe from the supernatural creatures. This one has more of a general supernatural feel to it: the werewolves are simply accepted in society, it’s a business romance story with a supernatural twist. Don’t get me wrong, it made a very fun read. I just missed the feel of the first two books. Due to this, my four star rating is a round up. It isn’t quite the full four star rating of the two prior books, but it was pretty close.
Despite feeling as though this book wasn’t quite what I had hoped for from the third book in the series, I did enjoy the story with this one. The main character was a lot of fun, and the storyline was highly entertaining. The way the characters and storyline come together to give us a wonderful chemistry is great, leaving you with many entertaining scenes. As soon as the two characters come together you’re pulled into the story, crossing your fingers for how things will play out. Whilst it didn’t have the feel of the prior books in the series, I do believe the coming together of these characters is one of my favourite from the author. It is such an entertaining story, one that left me smiling throughout.
The only thing I will say is that I feel as though the exchanges between characters didn’t flow as well as they could have. I feel as though some points countered each other: almost as though things that were said in one chapter were ignored so that characters could expand at later dates. What I mean is people would seem to forget about things we already knew, asking questions we already had answers to only for the answers to be more detailed than what we’d been given in the past. This was more so an issue that could have been amended through slight changes in wording, but it did distract somewhat.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed this one. It was an entertaining read, and I’m super excited for the next book in the series. The ending of this one shows we’ll be moving away from werewolves and vampires, giving us a promise of something wonderful – fairies. I cannot wait to see these creatures introduced to the Somerset world.
As a final note, I would like to thank the author for allowing me to advance read this in exchange for a review.
When I started reading this story, I could not put it down. I read the book in one day. This author is an awesome writer. I can not wait to read more of their books. Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book.

The wolf's virgin by Isadora Brown. A fantastic read with great characters. This is a new author for me and so far I am loving her work. Looking forward to reading more from this author. 5*.
Avery Montgomery's feels a necessity to prove herself as a business-savvy woman in a male dominated world. Alfa lone wolf, Luca's Cruz's offers to educate Avery in all areas of her life that need experience. Now, Avery must decide if she takes a chance on Lucas and his educational offer, despite the fact that it's still cheating. I never read the first two books in this series yet but after reading this one I definitely want to go back and read the mother two books in this series. A beautifully written and developed with novel with no plot holes. With sensational character's that are realistic with real emotions and flaws. A perfectly done romance novel with a supernatural Twist. I love the premise of this novel & the unique writing style. I highly recommend reading this novel as you won't be disappointed. I volunteerily reviewed an advanced reading copy of this book.
I thought this book was excellent. It was well written and the characters and story were well developed. I liked the characters individual personalities and seeing the dynamics develop and change. The story was excellent. It had suspense, emotion, intrigue, hot chemistry and romance. I’d highly recommend this book and look forward to future books by this author!!

I loved the build up f the story. It is a cliffhanger, but an awesome one. It stuck to most similar rules and nuances of werewolves, and I appreciated that. Made it easier to follow. The characters were ideal together, the characters were strong, and the chemistry, or shall I say passion, was exquisite! Book was gifted to me.
I absolutely loved reading this book. The author done an amazing job with storyline and keeping me interested. The charters are wonderful and the chemistry between them is explosive.

I received this book willingly from the author. Another fantastic book Ms Myers! Kept me up until 2am this morning reading. I only put it down because I had to be up at 6:30am.
We have Avery Montgomery, a young beautiful heiress. Avery "wanted to be more than an heiress, more than an airhead who inherited a bunch of money, married for even more money, and popped out children like it was her full time job." Avery wanted to make a name for her self in the business world and had the degree behind her name to prove it. Her father was grooming her to inherit his business when he decided to retire and she was getting tired of living in his shadow.
Avery's very first meeting with a client on her own and who does she run into, Lucas Cruz!
Lucas, had a very colourful reputation with the ladies, and a head for business. Lucas was attracted to Avery at the very moment she walked in the door and wasn't afraid to show it. However, Avery was engaged already to Rick Ashton. Turns out Rick and Lucas had gone to business school together and Lucas really didn't care for Rick at all.
This was my very first "Somerset Novel" and I had no idea what to expect. Ms Myers kept me in the dark until chapter two, but even then it wasn't made totally transparent as to the heritage of Mr Cruz. I could not put this book down and even though I got my HEA I was sad to see the book end.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Avery Montgomery is striving to prove herself in the male dominated world of business in order to show she is worthy to succeed her father and run his company when he retires. She has no real world experience but she did Summer Internships at the company and graduated from Somerset University with a honours and has a Master's degree in Business.
She sees the opportunity to invest in a Supernatural Registry application but she has a rival - Lucas Cruz - an Alpha shifter and self-made billionaire with lots of experience. To make it worse Avery's fiance Rick Ashton and both her parents are doubting her ability to get this contract due to her lack of experience.
How bad can a girl feel - she is a virgin in the boardroom and the bedroom and she appears to be taking flack from her so called loved ones for both.
Suddenly, Avery is being doubted by fellow businessman and her fiance, Rick Ashton, her mother, and her father's company. They all say the same thing: Experience is everything. Then Lucas offers to educate her in both areas - does she take him up on his offer and can she keep it purely business?
I loved this story and the premise behind it. I felt for Avery when it appeared that no one but Lucas was prepared to believe in her and give her support. Well written and very clear and enjoyable.
I voluntarily reviewed an adbanced reader copy of this book.
At first i was sure if i was going to like this book or not simply due to the fact that i don't like or agree with cheating for any reason but the more that i read this book the more i enjoyed it. It is a very well written novel with obvious thought and love put into it.
It was an enjoyable storyline and the more i read the more i liked this, the quality of writing and the realistic descriptions are very vivid in this erotic novel. I think the thing that i loved in this book is the growth of Avery, she completely changes throughout the book, at the beginning she is very reserved and almost trodden down as she can't be who she really is but throughout the book you see her evolve into a strong and confident woman that has been hidden inside all along and i loved reading that! I also enjoyed how protective Lucas was in this book, he is very much an alpha wolf and when he let's people in he cares and loves completely.
I would recommend this book although if people arent into erotic descriptions then i would give it a miss but otherwise it is an enjoyable read
Avery was the daughter of a wealthy man - also of a well educated and wealthy mother, but mom seems to have her own methods for success.
Lucas was a self made billionaire - an alpha wolf not connected to a pack.
Rick is the butt wipe fiance Avery agreed to marry - she knew he had a reputation as a cheater, but she had never seen it - and she did not know he was a nasty enough man to try to assault her. She also had no idea of the chemistry that was missing between her and Rick until Lucas came into her life as part of a business negotiation.
Yes - I am no fan of Rick the coward, who also tries to ruin her business and social reputation.
Not a great fan of her mom, who seems determined to be bigoted, and to be more interested in her own agenda than in her daughter, or in whatever happiness and success her daughter might find.
I am a big fan of this book - and more of the series - women of surprising strength who are also sexy - and hey relationship and career success in the long run - what more can a gal ask for?
steamy KU read!

Avery is engaged to Rick but its not a love match. She's a virgin and her mother basically tells her that Rick isn't going to want her inexperienced. So she turns to Lucas a wolf shifter that she is in competition for a business thing for. He know her fiancé and doesn't like him but is drawn to her and offers to help her in way she needs. Sparks fly between them and Lucas knows that he wants Avery for his own. When she shows up on his doorstep for help he knows he can't turn her away. Soon they are together and Lucas is teaching her more than just things sexually. Will they be able to be together? What will her fiancé say?
This is a great story that will drawn you in from the first page. Both parties of the engaged couple aren't faithful to each other so the cheating isn't really a bad aspect of this story. The chemistry between Lucas and Avery is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover

An Education in Business, by Heather C. Myers, is the third book from the Somerset Series. Avery is working to take over her father's company when he retires. However, to do that, she has to prove she has what it takes - gaining field experience. In the process, she meets Lucas and is drawn to him in some way despite being engaged to another man, Rick. However, Lucas has a proposition to mentor her in multiple aspects - business wise and intimately - giving her the life experience she wants and needs.
For 1/2 of the book, I admired Avery's drive to succeed. However, I felt she was weak in how she wanted to cater to her fiance. I was glad to see the shift towards the latter part of the story. It's rare to have a 5 year relationship and not have more intimacy, even if she's a virgin, than she and her fiance had. I liked Lucas' character, but would have loved to seen more interactions between him and Avery. Their story was endearing and glad to see if finish the way it did.
This book is steamy and sexy that i can promise for sure! Here we tart with Avery that is not experienced in many areas (even more than you can expect her to be). This book concentrate on her growng and getting knowlage on some parts of her life - especcially one in particular :) Avery was really sweet in her in her gaining experience, slow but she was looking forward to do it correctly for the one she chose. Lucas is a werewolf that is a lone wolf (he doesn't have a pack) and he got really interested in Av. He is really something tht every women would love to have by her side! He won my heart! But i lacked a little Av interaction with his second part as it would be REALLY nice to see it :)
Ths book will be a great journey for paranormal romance fans, people who like steamy and sexy romance!
I like this book but still not sure why. It was well written and the characters were interesting.
Yes, I got irritated with Ava as she wanted to be taken serious in the business world and by her family.. I did not always view her has a strong character. Now that mother of hers had hidden depths that did not always come across in the story you had to really read into it to find them.
The author did a good job of drawing the reader into the story and holding my attention. The book makes me want to know more specifically about Lucas' old pack and the female that betrayed him....
I have voluntarily read and reviewed this book received from the author without obligation.
Avery Montgomery wants to be more than the rich girl about to inherit daddy's empire. She has the fancy business school degree, the "perfect" fiance, and all her ducks in a row. Until she has to compete against Lucas Cruz for the opportunity to invest in a supernatural registry app.
Lucas offers to teach Avery how to get ahead - in business or whatever else she wants to learn.
I really enjoyed this story and the relationship between Lucas and Avery. He didn't just teach her about business or how to please a man - he helped her learn who she was and wanted to be. Mixed between the sweet interactions was plenty of heat that made the book hard to put down.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book and voluntarily provided this honest review.
This is my first book by Heather C. Myers, but it will not be my last. First, I have to say I'm not a big fan of paranormal and/or shifter books. I will have to say my opinion is definitely changing, since this book contains a werewolf, lol. Lucas is one hot businessman. Avery is looking to take over her dad's business when he retires, even though she has no experience. The only experience she has is her internships. Rick, her fiancé, her family, and even her father's company doubt her abilities. Enter Lucas who offers to teach her everything inside and outside of the boardroom. What happens when she accepts his offer? One-click your copy and find out what happens. Be prepared for some sexy times.
Avery is planning to take over her fathers business one day but she has no experience in the business world so she turns to her fiancé for help but he’s not interested in teaching her anything about business or in the bedroom. Then Avery meets Billionaire Lucas Cruz who’s also a wolf shifter he offers to teach Avery everything she needs to know about the bedroom and business and he doesn’t care about Avery being a virgin. I didn’t like Avery’s mother and fiancé ugh they made me pretty angry horrible horrible people but I did love Lucas he was very protective of Avery they were such a great couple. This is a fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
Avery has been so focused on being ready to take over the family business from her Dad that she hasn't really done anything else. Even her fiancé, Rick, is someone who fits into her father's business and works there too. But for having a fiancé doesn't mean she's really in love with or that they've done anything beyond a few "make-out sessions". When she goes to a business meeting and meets Lucas, she finally realizes what she's been waiting for. But she has a rather odd way of handling the attraction. 😉💗🔥💕
This is the third book in The Somerset Supernaturals Series but it can easily be read as a standalone.😊

The Somerset series was my first by this author and I was hooked. I am falling more and more in love with this series! I read Avery and Lucas' story in one setting! I cheered out loud for Avery more than once and might have wish for a real life Lucas a time or two as well. Well written, fascinating characters, and a very addictive storyline. I'm nervous for what the NDS is up too, hugely fascinated by that bomb shell in the final chapter (to juicy to spoil!), and curious if I guessed the hero of the next book correctly! Can't wait to read it!!
Heather C Myers is a new author to me. This is the fourth book by her I've read, and it’s a good, well written book. I lean more toward romantic suspense and I'm not much into werewolves but this book’s story captured me & I enjoyed it and will read more by her in the future. Her character development is very good and I really get into characters, who they are, why they do the things they do, etc.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoy this series. Avery is easy to like. She is an heiress but wants to prove herself in the business world independent of her father. She is going through life but doesn't seem to really be living. Enter a sexy, successful businessman who just happens to be a werewolf. The story was well written and kept me hooked from the beginning. Great book!
What a terrific read that completely took me over when I turned to the first page and kept me glued to the book until the end. I enjoyed the attraction and interactions between heiress Avery Montgomery and Lucas Cruz, voted the sexiest resident in Somerset. Fans of paranormal romance will love this fun, captivating and spicy read. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and liked it so much, I purchased a copy so I can re-read it later.
A fun continuation of the series. This time we get to see werewolf society from the outside and the differences between a pack alpha and a lone alpha. The chemistry between Avery and Lucas was explosive and instantaneous. I really liked Lucas's take on healthy jealousy. It's a perspective more of us should embrace. I loved watching Avery step into her full power as a woman, both in the boardroom and the bedroom. Overall, an enjoyable read. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.
Ok I have said before and so long as Ms. Brown keeps putting out awesome reads I will keep repeating myself. Her characters and storylines always have well developed and engaging characters and this one is no exception with its hot and steamy chemistry plus all those twists and turns we have come to enjoy in her writing its always fun to read.

Avery is adamant about proving herself in her father's corporate world. So meeting up with the infamous self made billionaire and alpha lone wolf Lucas Cruz at a business meeting inevitably leads to his mentoring her...in all things business and personal. This steamy romance is intense and absolutely mesmerizing. I loved every word of it!

An Education in Business by Heather C. Myers is the first book by this author I have read. Paranormals are not usually what I read but I did enjoy this book. It is well written and the story line captures you and keeps you hooked. It is full of suspense, passion and some great steamy scenes. I look forward to reading more from this author.
I enjoyed the story. You have a young woman that is insecure but wants an opportunity to be successful. She gets a lot more than she bargained for when she gets involved with Lucas. Lucas offers her everything she needs but it means a totally different future for her. They really have an interesting relationship that keeps you interested.
The Wolf's Virgin: Book 3 in The Somerset Supernaturals Series by Isadora Brown. The hot billionaire wolf shifter, experienced in the bedroom and the boardroom, and the virgin, experienced in neither, but willing to learn! Hot and steamy!!
