This sturdy board book published first in Belgium and Holland encourages young readers to interact with the text. Bobby, the protagonist, gets to have all sorts of adventures as he rides his bike, sails his boat, and even flies a rocket, among other activities, before falling asleep. Although readers will enjoy all this travel, what makes this book particularly appealing and unique is how readers are encouraged to trace his path by moving their fingers along the cut-out parts of the pages. Thus, they can move their digits up and down along the mountains, in a spiral in the town square, and across the waves of an ocean. This is a great experience for developing visual acuity and motor skills as well as possibly nudging the youngster who reads the book to get up and move around a bit as well. I enjoyed this one, and I'm certain young readers will return to the book many times, drawn by the chance to follow along with Bobby on the colorful pages.

Bobby is apparently a dog who will ride any vehicle placed in front of him, and he’s always appropriately dressed for them.
The crux of this book is that the reader—little kids, that is—has to use their finger to trace the route of the vehicles. Surprisingly enough, if you don’t mind your screen getting a bit dirty, it works almost as well on an e-book, though the tactility the author wants the kid to have is not the same. Still, it’s an entertaining little jaunt amongst vehicles, from bicycles to rockets. The race track, though. . . only in a demolition derby would you have a figure eight.

Very simple book to help develop fine motor skills in toddlers. Bobby wants to go on adventures. He goes in a train, boat, plane etc. On each page the reader or listener can trace the path with their finger (spirals, zigzag, circular and more) to help develop fine motor skills needed for future printing and writing. The illustrations are simple and adorable to attract the attention of young children. A great addition for a family library or preschool/kindergarten classroom. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.

This fun follow the path book is filled with brightly colored illustrations. It provides a wonderful way to support and enhance fine motor skills as your child follows Bobby as he tries out various modes of transportation. It is sure to delight if you have two young boys like I do who obsess over anything that flies or has wheels.

A very cute book that allows the child to interact with it and use some hand eye coordination. Throughout the pages there are mazes that a child can use their finger to maneuver. A great way to get them even more involved in reading.

A nice slightly active bedtime book. Bobby the dog needs help flying around the moon, climbing the mountains, etc. And all that work is going to tucker him, and your little one out.
