THE AUTHORITY takes you on an epic adventure through breathtaking lands of both beauty and darkness as Ambrose searches for her stolen Advocate and tries to prevent a seemingly inevitable war. New characters bring unexpected complications, testing Ambrose's relationship with her boyfriend and deepening the despair in her heart. Will she give in to hopelessness? Or will she rise up and fight?

This highly-anticipated sequel to The Charismatics doesn't disappoint and has been well worth the wait—with unpredictable plot-twists, and the perfect balance of adrenaline-pumping action and character strife, The Authority is everything I could've hoped for!

This book follows Ambrose Killaher as she faces world-saving stakes, uncovers new dimensions to an already awe-inspiring, expansive world, and suffers the devastating repercussions of being separated from her most trusted ally, Roan. Readers

Duchess Ambrose Killaher, along with her boyfriend, Vasser, and their ragtag group of friends, search for Roan and try to bring down the reigning government. The magical and ...more

Ambrose is an "authority", which means she has a special companion called an advocate, and Ambrose has been separated from her advocate, so there are two stories intertwined. First, the charismatics try to get assistance from other species with special powers to organize a rebellion in Legalia, ...more

The Authority (The Charismatics Series Book 2) written by Ashley R. Carlson was a refreshing story and was an amazing journey to read. This book as twists and turns you would never guess and really pulls the reader into the story. I would suggest reading the first book in this series, as I have not and found it a little hard to follow in the beginning, but the author does a superb job at pulling everything together and reinforcing the characters in the reader’s mind. The author provides new ...more
