I've been an unabashed fan of the Leslie Scalapino Award for Innovative Women Performance Writers for a while now, and each year I excitedly look up the finalists' work. I was absolutely thrilled when a name I recognized from the list ordered a play from Plays Inverse, and even more excited when she submitted her book to us for consideration.
