Christmas In Icicle Falls

Sheila Roberts

Received from Netgalley

CHRISTMAS IN ICICLE FALLS by Sheila Roberts is the eleventh book in the Life in Icicle Falls series and it also happens to be the last one. Even though I'm sad that it is ending I have loved this series and the wonderful characters in Icicle Falls. I craved chocolate the whole time I was reading this book! CHRISTMAS IN ICICLE FALLS is a sweet read that I devoured in just two days. Sheila has a way of just pulling you into the story an

Christmas in Icicle Falls is actually the first book I’ve read by Sheila Roberts. So trust me to choose the eleventh and final book in the Life in Icicle Falls series. However, despite arriving in Icicle Falls somewhat late, I’m pleased to say this was a fun and festive feel-good read, set in a friendly close-knit community with one grumpy neighbour.

This book has a good mix of characters. I loved how each chapter began with a snippet of Muriel’s pearls of wisdom, advising on how to be happy duri

Such a delightful Christmas story! I loved the idea of the ugly Christmas tree in each character's lives and how they strive to see the good in him/her. Sweet story anyone would love to read!

I am sad that this is the last book in this series and I will no longer be able to visit Icicle Falls. Once again the author takes us to the magical town of Icicle Falls to catch up with our friends we have all come to love. This time we get to follow along with Muriel as she struggles with jealousy. Since she is the one who has written the self help books that all the ladies enjoy reading it was hard to imagine her struggling with this issue but at the same time to see that not all are perfect. ...more

Lighthearted humor and swiftly changing emotions shook things up in Sheila Roberts’ Christmas in Icicle Falls, where no one in town was immune to the unexpected–or to the ever abundant holiday cheer.

I must admit that reading this year’s Christmas book by Sheila Roberts is bittersweet. It was an absolutely lovely story as always, however, it’s the final book in the Life in Icicle Falls series. *sniffle* But she sent us fans off in

This was a really cute book. It wasn’t the best writing but for a fun and light Christmas read, I thought it was good. I liked that the book was totally centered on a romance but instead had a few story lines between people within the community and the idea of being kind to all, even those who aren’t kind to you. Definitely a feel-good holiday read.

Christmas in Icicle Falls is the first Sheila Roberts book I’ve read. It’s the last in the Icicle Falls series, which is just one of many series penned by the author, so I’m not sure how I’ve missed reading her novels so far. But it’s a very enjoyable standalone book, so a good introduction to the author’s characters, style and stories. Plus it’s a Christmas story, perfect for the season. It involves an ugly artificial tree, made beautiful with wise decoration. And it involves very real, messed- ...more

What a wonderful holiday story this is. Three friends ...not looking for anyone special....but ..... Muriel has had two wonderful marriages and is now best friends with Arnie. He invites her to go on a cruise but she refuses... Sienna is a single mother with a special needs son and feels she doesn't need anyone else in her life. Just her and her son. Then Tim comes along.... Olivia is very happy running her lodge with James her new husband and her son Eric and his wife Brooke. Then Brandon comes ...more

What a wonderful story! I turned the final page with a huge smile, though feeling bittersweet because this is the last book of this series. I will truly miss the characters and visiting them again and again as their lives grow and change.
One of the themes of this story is that with enough love, patience and care, even the grumpiest of people (or ugliest of trees) can be beautiful. Find out a person's story before judging. You may just be surprised...and humbled.

I've taken many trips to the fantasy town of Icicle Falls over the past several years and this last trip was not a disappointment in the least! As sad as I am to see it end this was a great conclusion. I met new friends and visited old friends while on this last visit.
Muriel Sterling is a long time resident and celebrity in that she has written and had several books published. Her newest, A Guide to Happy Holidays, is her best work yet. She's on top of the world until she opens her newly deliver

Everybody has an ugly tree!

It's great to be back in Icicle Falls for one last time! The towns beloved Muriel Sterling - Whittman has written another book to help people get through the holidays. Holidays always have people bustling around and getting ready and trying to be their best. Muriel herself tries to get herself that new tree only to find out when it arrives that it is an "ugly tree". She doesn't replace it but works to make ut a beautiful tree. Muriel finds out she needs to work on hers

A delightful and heartwarming Christmas story that will make you laugh and cry. I just love the residents of Icicle Falls. They draw me into the story like I am right there with them. Muriel Sterling's UGLY TREE spikes everyone interest. I guess everyone has an UGLY TREE in their lives. An enjoyable and fun read that I hated to see end. Read the story to find out about the UGLY TREE.
A MUST READ for the Christmas season!

I have enjoyed returning to Icicle Falls again and again but I am disappointed that this is the last book in the series. There seems to be more stories to tell and an epilogue could have tied up all the loose ends but alas it wasn’t to be. I did enjoy the recipes at the back of the book and may give a couple of them a try.

It was nice to be reunited with many of the characters I’ve come to know but Muriel was not at her best in this s

Christmas is the perfect time to visit Icicle Falls, and Roberts makes sure to give her readers the traditional sights, sounds, and smells of the holiday as well as visits with many of the Bavarian town’s favorite citizens. This book has the charm and the humor that have characterized the series throughout its five-year run. The “ugly tree” moral is not subtle, but it is credibly applied to the lives of these characters. And readers may find themselves asking if seasonal goodwill applie

Sad to see the Icicle Falls series come to an end especially since it was in Leavenworth where Icicle Falls is based that I discovered this series and where else but at Pat's Book for all Seasons. Yes, she she really does exist! This brings the characters, shops, and scenery of this Bavarian town with the Cascade Mt backdrop alive in my mind having walked the same streets.

Icicle Sheila Roberts’s newest book, CHRISTMAS IN ICICLE FALLS, is another favorite read!
We again meet Muriel Sterling, she writes books of encouragement and positive thoughts. Yet, it seems she can’t move forward herself. She finds herself stuck in both her book ideas and in her love life.
As Muriel prepares for her annual Christmas tea, she is unprepared to find herself with the ugliest and only tree left in the town. How she turns this ugly tree into a glorious creation becomes the theme of ea

Is there such a thing as an ugly Christmas Tree?? Surely not, especially in Icicle Falls - the delightful mountain community created in the beloved Life in Icicle Falls series by the incomparable Sheila Roberts, inspired by the very real and delightful mountian community of Leavenworth, Washington.

When Muriel Sterling - author of A GUIDE TO HAPPY HOLIDAYS - opened her Internet purchase of a new, artificial tree, she couldn’t believe her eyes. “ ... an insult to Christmas ... “ was her immediate

So this is the last book in the Icicle Falls series. I’m sad that it’s ending but can’t wait to see what little Sheila has in store for us next.
I’m going to miss this town, but it was wonderful to tie up all the loose ends. Muriel Sterling, Local writer from Icicle falls and the Queen of a chocolate factory has had two loves of her life and widowed both times. Is there room in her life for one last love? Well, Muriel doesn’t think so, but Arnie might just change her mind, unless her friend Dot

As Sheila Roberts takes us to beautiful, heartwarming Icicle Falls, at Christmas time, we happily join her.
We see sights, sounds, and tastes of restaurants vividly. We feel the love as Olivia shares her baking secrets with Meadow. We understand not all daughter in laws are created equal. We learn the term "ugly tree" doesn't just mean trees. We contemplate ugly tree projects we have in our personal lives.
We happily partake in empanadas, flan, and hope to enjoy the handful of recipes carefully

Christmas in Icicle Falls

This book is the last in the series and I am both happy and sad. Happy because it

ended on a wonderful note and a new series will begin soon. Sad because I absolutely loved Icicle Falls.

I do NOT give away spoilers so if you looking for that…sorry!

Shelia Roberts out did herself in the final book of Icicle Falls. She brought out the kindness in her characters, love to share abundantly and caring for everyone. Muriel, Arnie, Dot, Sienna, Tim, Leo, Ashley, Amy, Olivia, Bro

It's the holiday season ... Thanksgiving to New Years. Muriel is an author and twice widowed. Her friend, Arnie, has made it clear that he's always loved her since they were teenagers but she has always seen him as a friend. When he invites her on a European cruise, she declines and he takes their friend, Dot, instead. Right away Muriel is sorry she said no and is jealous of the relationship that is now developing between Arnie and Dot.

Sienna has recently moved to town and feels it's the right p

In (sadly) the last of the icicle falls series Sheila Roberts does it again. Take Three of the most different women and mash them together and you get nothing but a roller coaster of a ride.
Oliva has to deal with her new daughter in law who she doesn’t start out liking and a daughter who is her everything. Will teaching her the family business bring them closer?
Then theres the very well liked and loved city celebrity author Mueriel Sterling- Whitman who is dealing with the loss of her second

This book is one long INTENSE blackpill. If someone told me Sheila Roberts doesn't exist and incels secretly wrote this, I would not be surprised. But hey, now that I know the guys from .co are responsible for r/femaledatingstrategy I think incels are behind everything.

Okay! Let's dig into it. Poor freaking Arnie. Muriel has no interest in Arnie until Dot pretends to have an interest in him. There's the first blackpill. Women practice hypergamy and are only interested in men who have a higher S

I loved, loved, loved this story. Christmas in Icicle Falls really gets you thinking about your "ugly tree attitude". This is the last in the series, so it's kind of a bittersweet ending. Sad that it's over but very, very thankful that I read it. If you need a "push" to get into the Christmas spirit, this is the book for you...or if your dealing with a "ugly tree" yourself.

I just cannot get enough of cheesy Christmas romance! These books are not earth-shattering and I cannot in good conscience give them higher than a three-star rating, but if I were ranking based on the sheer joy and good cheer I get from them they would give five lighted Christmas trees!

If you want a feel good book this upcoming holiday season that will make your heart melt, this is the one you want to get. There are a bunch of different story lines going on all at the same time in this novel and the author manages to tie them together perfectly by the end.

Even with so much going on, it is easy to keep what is happening straight because the characters are so varied. Each of them has an "Ugly Tree," situation that they must overcome in order to follow the helpful hints in a new
