I need Charlie to come to my house so I can just hold this poor girl! Another tear jerking read with the whole racing heart. Whiskey has his own furious demons in his past, but yet, he has decided to make Charlie his number one priority.

Charlie has lived thru pure hell for the last three years. She has masked everything that she has been dealing with. She finally decided enough is enough.

I really can not say another thing about this book because it would give way to much away and ruin your rea

I really liked Charlie, "fine, let's go talk to him so you can come back to hold me and give me my after-sex cuddles." I loved Whiskey the man cared about his woman, "I'll protect you from all the evil in the world, Charlie. From the time I met you on that porch till forever ends. I've got you." I liked this book.

I love biker books. The grit, violence and foul language make for an interesting escape from my regular everyday life. Charlie's Whiskey held promise, but it fell short in the areas that count for me.

This novel is slow to start. I did connect with the characters, but only after about a third of the way in. I would have liked a bit more of Charlie prior to leaving her first relationship, that would have made the story gritty and drawn me into the plight of the character more.

Absolutely loved this story. I think everyone can relate to Charlie in many ways. Strong and broken all at the same time. She is awesome! I had a hard time setting the book down in anticipation of what was coming next! We all need a little Whiskey in our life. I can't wait for the next book!

What a fabulous debut into the world of writing Harlow Brown has made with this terrific book!
From the very beginning the story grabs the reader's attention and continues to hold it throughput the book. This is a fast paced and smoothly executed storyline.
Charlie ends three years of misery with her complete douchebag boyfriend or she tries to! Briar and Jazz are her whole support until Whiskey comes along. As we get to know more about each character we meet some very interesting secondary charac

This book was a great mix of genres. Sports cross with MC and a little suspense dropped in there. Charlie is a broken woman, having been beaten by her ex for years before she got the courage to leave. Enter Whiskey. He is a friend of her friends who is coming back to town. When he sees what Charlie has gone through, he does whatever he can to make her feel safe.

For me, I gave this 4 stars overall. 5 stars for originality, however I felt there was too much dialogue and the characters weren't wha

I received and voluntary reviewed an ARC of this book. This book was read and reviewed by Stacy Aube for Cutting Muse Blog Review.

An intriguing debut from Harlow Brown. The devastation, retribution, and romance qualities make this a good read. Charlie is a truly amazing woman, a survivor. Combine her with Whiskey and you have a great couple who overcome so much.

This book will grab onto your heart right from the prologue and doesn't let go until the Charlie finally finds peace. It's a beautiful story of a fierce, but broken woman rediscovering love and seeking revenge against the man who kept her down for far too long.

I haven’t had a book impact me like Charlie’s Whiskey did, in a very long time. It’s incredible to me that this is a debut novel for author Harlow Brown, because I don’t think there is anything that could be improved on. This book tells th

Title: Charlie’s Whiskey
Author: Harlow Brown

4 unexpected stars

What a great debut novel by Harlow Brown that had me gasping in surprise and even sadness at all that Charlie has to endure. No woman should ever feel fear from their loved ones but as the abuse gets worst, Charlie finds more solace in her sport until the day that Charlie meets Whiskey, the attraction between them is instant, even powerful enough to make him want to take things slow considering how it went with her last relationshi

Josie's Review

Let me start off by saying this book might have some triggers, so please keep that in mind. Charlie’s Whiskey brings a lot to the table. We have a female baseball player, MC , bad ass alpha biker and an abusive and dangerous ex. I’m not a huge fan of instant love but this author handles this in a different way and it really worked for me.

This book deals with a slew of emotions that a survivor of abused person would battle daily. I felt Charlie’s highs and lows throughout this book

For three years, Charlie Winstead has been suffering abuse in silence, and not even her best friends know the nightmare she lives in. The only thing that keeps her going is playing softball on her women's team. Finally, Charlie has had enough of Hensley's abuse, and makes a stand. She ends up staying with her best friend, but Hensley refuses to let her go. Whiskey Williams is a patched member of the Chosen Legion MC, who battles demons of his own, but he is trying to make things right, when he s ...more

I am still wiping my face from tears from Charlie's story. Get your tissues ready before diving into this book.

Okay let's get real...I almost put this down and didn't finish, yep true story! It was so fast paced and just kind of out there for me in the way the story line was going but for the hell of it I kept going because I was intrigued mainly.

Great read from a debut author who I'm looking forward to reading more from. Fantastic debut novel about Charlie who has escaped an abusive relationship and Whiskey a tough biker with issues of his own. I must say I was thrown in the middle of the book when Charlie did an about face from a scared bruised young woman to a tough revengeful chick.

This is Charlie's and Whiskey's journey of discovering love and letting go the past.

The story line was excellent and well paced and all the characters intriguing. Love some and love to hate others. The beginning of the book certai

I’m a bit on the fence with this one. It is a new author so I didn’t know what to expect and it was a decent length story. Charlie has been in an abusive relationship for the past 3 years. And finally she is ready to get out, but her ex is not ready to let her go. Luckily she has good friends that will do anything to keep her safe.

Charlie's Whiskey is the debut story for Harlow Brown. It was a story of "abuse" at the hands of Hensley toward the fierce, baseball player known as Charlie. This continued for three years until Charlie was strong enough to stand up for herself and say enough is enough. Her journey and road to recovery from this was a difficult one but with the help of Whiskey Williams, a hot, sexy biker who was part of a club, her healing and her heart would soon be mended. Both Charlie and Whiskey hav

I was asked to read this book for an honest and unbiased review by the author. I borrowed it myself with KU. This is Harlow's debut novel.

Charlie has lived in hell for the past three years and finally gets the strength she needs to leave. In doing so she makes Hensley mad and sets a chain of events into motion. I have to say I wasn't a big fan of Charlie, the girl gave me some serious whiplash with her mood swings and while I know survivors of abuse all deal with things differently she

Charlie's Whiskey gave me some good feels. Charlie went through some very harrowing things for 3 years. Now on track to get her life back together, she finds peace, protection, and solace in the last place that she thought she would find it, a big bad biker.

Only looking to get back on her feet and away from her abuser, Charlie turns to her best friends, Jazz and Briar. An unexpected visitor fills a hole she has had in her heart. Charlie fights against her demons and lets Whiskey in. He may just

Charlie has had a rough go the past couple of years, the past 3 to be more exact. She decides that enough is enough, and leaves. With her best friends standing behind her, she is going to move on, she has her softball, her friends, she doesn't need any man. Then Whiskey comes onto the scene. Having left the TX chapter of the MC club he belongs to, he is back here to start life a new, and forget about the past. The moment he sees Charlie, is a moment that will change

Wow this was an amazing book from the beginning to the end. This was an amazing first book by Harlow. It is extremely well written with great plot, character chemistry and full of emotions. This book is all about Charlie. A girl that has gone through so very much in the last three years far more than any girl should have to go through. But throughout this book it shows exactly how strong she really is and how she wont let anyone take her down. I fell in love with Charlie right from the beginning ...more

Let me tell you what I liked about this story. First of all I love MC books and Whiskey did not disappoint with his bad sexy self. He is a character that is not afraid to help someone down and out. It doesn't hurt that he is hot (wink wink). Now let me tell you about Charlie. She is a bit of a contradiction in the fact that she is tough talking/acting baseball player but has been in an abusive relationship for several years. I loved her friends and the people she aligns herself with. Some of my ...more

I thought this story had such promise but it really didn’t deliver. I realize it’s fiction but some of the author’s descriptions of the softball practice and games were off. Others were spot on. Also Charlie seemed a little confused to me. At the beginning she was weak. By the end she was a badass. I just didn’t see that development. It just was like a light switches that all of the sudden turned on.

Charlie is an extremely wounded girl after suffering years of abuse from her boyfriend Hensley, who is as twisted at they get.
Charlie meets Whiskey through her good friends Briar and Jazz. He is her protector and saviour. Whiskey is a member of the Chosen Legions motorcycle club. They eventually, after much back and forth from Charlie develope a relationship.
This is the first book I have read by this Author. A great debut novel. Looking forward to Rumors Fury, the next book in this series.
