Fun book detailing the different ways animals from kangaroos to swans, koalas to otters get rides on their moms, their dads, even other objects like logs in the river. Animals are no different from us humans who carry our infants on strollers or big plastic carryalls. What else can we learn from animals how to care for our own kids? I leave that to you.

Who wants a ride? Well, there are many baby animals who get rides from their moms or dads as this book shows.

I love the woodcut illustrations in this book. Some of the minor details about the animals aren't necessarily correct (it doesn't call a baby swan by the right name and it should probably be a daddy penguin instead of a mommy penguin with the baby...), but still a cute book.

This book is about animal babies and how their mothers carry them. Some of the creatures in this book include: an anteater, walrus, penguin, koala, etc. In the classroom, this book could be used to learn about different animals and their parents or habitats. Students could create questions about animals they are interested in and write them on “wonder cards.”
