4.5 stars. I am one who typically struggles with a second book in a series. NOT THIS SERIES! Melanie has crafted a story to keep you interested from cover to cover with this series. This second book picks up where the first leaves off, and a lot happens in those 300 pages! If you haven't tried this series, I highly recommend it!!! * I was sent this book in exchange for an honest review.

But the beginning felt so fast! Once I got settled into the story, it was nice to be with the same characters in a different setting. There was so much to do and explore and see in this book. There were a lot of secrets and different people to meet. I was NOT Evan's biggest fan in this. He was always jumping to conclusions and ju ...more

Evan has been trying for a while to get Nat to go with him to his home Dome 569 to meet his mom and so that Nat can be with her uncle Alec again. Nat keeps putting him off but when a bomb explodes Nat is convinced that maybe it is time to leave and take the serum, a cure for the disease that put everyone in Domes in the beginning.

When Nat and Evan arrive at Dome 569 things are not exactly like Nat expected them to be. Dome 569 is run in a whole different way than Dome 1618. The leader of Dome 5
