Original review

Perfect Imperfections tells the story of Tash (full: Natasha) and her love life. She's been together with her youth love, Josh, for 10 years and it ended all of a sudden. Josh found another woman, Michelle. Tasha is devastated and finds solace with Gabriel, an artist who painted her. They become closer, but will they be able to piece together one another's perfect imperfections?

Perfect Imperfections is such a good book! Wow! It's definitely my favourite book written by J. & L. We

This was a fantastically written book. Even though it did take a while to get into the book and for the characters to come together I understood it couldn't be helped in order for the reader to understand fully when and where Natasha and Gabriel met and how their friendship and subsequent relationship started.

Natasha is going out with a complete dick but she doesn't realise it until a few weeks before her wedding and by then she had already brought him a wedding present or a painting of herself

Perfect Imperfections by J. & L. Wells was such an emotional read. This was my first book by this author duo and I enjoyed it.

Natasha is so close to walking down the aisle. Things are falling into place. She is marrying her long-time love, Josh. After ten years, nothing can go wrong, right? Before the wedding, she gets a painting done for her fiancée. But she is the one that is surprised when her world is turned upside down after unexpected events. I liked her determination. Even when dealing w

This story was beautifully written and I found myself getting lost within the pages. The characters were great and I felt like I connected with them all, some just took longer than others. There are some fun, sweet moments and some very emotional ones too.

This book held me captive and I read within one sitting. Its a tale of loss, hope, passion, love and compassion. With so many twists and turns I never knew what

Perfect Imperfections by J&L Wells was a bit of a roller coaster, both plot wise, as well as my enjoyment factor. Truth be told, I was a little skeptical for the first quarter of the book. It felt a little long winded and I wasn't sold on a couple of the characters, one being our heroine, Tasha. With that being said, I was intrigued by Gabriel and liked the fact that he was a bit bitchy lo

I rate this almost the full 5 stars.

This is so much more than a contemporary romance and it is a one heck of a story. It was so nice to read a British novel too (particularly as I'm a Nottingham girl and work in Derbyshire!). I started reading this book when I went to bed - at 2am, and with a good hour and a half left to read, I reluctantly had to put it down. As soon as I woke up I continued reading until I had finished it.

The book is written first person POV (which I like) but only from Tash's
Romance Between The Sheets
My thoughts are torn on this book, the first half I found slow and dragged for me and yet the second half I loved and thank god for Gabriel as he saved this story for me.

During the first half I did not feel a connection with Tash, her sister was annoying and then her relationship with her fiancé Josh for me was very immature and lacked depth when they had been together for 10 years. Her thoughts on marriage I did not understand until later on after her moment with her mother so for her to one mi

You start off with Natasha and her long time boyfriend Josh on vacation. He ends up purposing to her on the beach. She feels like they shouldn't mess up something good. Why get married? She was kinda pushed into it. Now it's getting close to her wedding day. She's actually excited yet nervous. Josh leaves to go to America for 2 weeks to do some work for his dad's company. Her mom springs on her that she has arranged for a man to paint her for a wedding present to Josh. She shows up and the man s ...more

Perfect Imperfections - where do I even begin? Can I just start off by saying that this was a beautifully phenomenal and captivating story that I was immediately drawn to. As soon as I began reading this extraordinary story I couldn't put it down (at least until I was forced to of course) and finished it as soon as I possibly could. This is my first J & L Wells book, but I am so happy this was the one because it had my full attention right from t

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Forewarning though, this book is written in British English (which I enjoy), to new readers it may take a little bit to get use to. The book starts off a little slow but for good reason. The author gets you acquainted with the characters and who they are as people. You get to see inside Natasha's life and what makes her tick so to speak. Natasha has a lot going on in her life. From a nagging, whiny sister to a meddling mother, mixed in with a d-bag fiance, life is ...more

Seriously, this novel made me cry so freaking much. It's entirely not fair how much I cried. There were happy tears and sad tears, angry tears and more. Not many books can make me cry. Have feelings, yes. But cry? Not many.

That is just a small testament to Judy and Laura's writing. I honestly found no flaws in there writing whatsoever. I will admit that since I am from the US the style was a bit odd at first, but I got used to the England quirks. (It may help that the story i

I truly enjoyed reading this book. I was fortunate to not have to wait for book 2 because I got both books close together.
Yay me. I think that with the way how I loved this book I would have obsessed over the days I waited and started counting down with a calendar even though it wasn't that long a wait.
This was how much I seriously loved this book and enjoyed it. I read a lot and I'm one of those readers who takes their time . With this book I just lapped it right up and gobbled up the whole s

This was a creeper, a slow burning romance that played its card very close to its chest and seemd to delight in teasing the details out page by page.
After a decade together Natasha and her fiancé Josh are getting ready to tie the knot, everything is ready and the day is fast approaching when they can say their I do’s and settle down to their own happy ever after…or at least that was what Natasha thought the plan was because it soon turns out that her happy ever after isn’t around the corner any

Natasha gets the surprise of her life. She’s all about helping out her family. She has a fiancé named Josh. Right out of the gate, I just didn’t feel any type of connection between the two of them. He certainly has grandiose plans but where does Natasha fit into those plans. And that could be why I just don’t feel there’s anything there for these two. But conflict is a great way to grab a reader’s attention.

But on a good note, I found that Natasha had an interesting family and was looking forwar

Honest to god I think poor Laura was bursting for my review, she know's that I'm not a huge "slow burner" book fan, yet she still had faith that I'd like Tash and Gabriel's story. Yes it is slow burning until mid-way (so if that's your thing you're already on to a winner), it's an eye opener, but at just over 400 pages overall I can deal with 50% slow burn and it does pick up rapidly after that. Tash's character kept me engaged, she's determined if nothing else, and you can really get on her lev ...more

I cannot remember the last time I cried this much while reading a book. It was such a heartfelt, emotional rollercoaster that I loved every minute of. This mother-daughter duo sure know how to write a beautiful story. I definitely experienced a wide range of emotions while reading from happiness, humor, pain (heartbreaking pain), sadness and anger. The story has great story and character development and flow. I felt like I was there going through all the motions and experiences with Tasha. I don ...more

This was an outstanding story. Natasha has loved the same man her entire life. Josh has always been there for her. They have shared so many "first's" in since an early age. Now they are to be married. As a wedding present to Josh, Natasha is having a portrait done by an up and coming artist named Gabriel. Josh takes a job in the states with his father's company and is gone for several weeks. Things change between them, and ends with Natasha having a broken heart. She soon turns to her friend Gab ...more

A heart wrenching story filled with beautifully flawed characters. When I started this book, I really wanted to smack a character or two for their childishness but as more was revealed, behavior was explained by prior events and the story of the family became whole. Natasha has her entire world turned on it's head when one simple truth becomes known to her: her man is a douche. The story which unfolds is filled with uncertainty and angst of what is believed to be inevitable, the worries that pla ...more

What an emotional read that will grip your attention right at the beginning and keep you page turning from then. Natasha commissions a portrait of herself by artist Gabriel for her long term boyfriend/fiance as a wedding gift. She is distraught when Josh breaks off their engagement. As she goes through her period of self discovery she turns to Gabriel on and off. No spoiler here but this is a great story with no cliffhanger. Beware you may need some tissues.

This book is the first that I have read from these authors and am pleased that I go the chance to read their work. For me thee story line started off a little slow but once it picked up it was impossible to put down. All the characters are well written and believable. This book is full of emotions, everything from happy, sad, angry. It is a cute romance novel with all the feel. I would recommend this book.

Perfect Imperfections by J. & L. Wells
As expected, this first book in the Moments series by J & L Wells is terrifically written and wonderfully colorful. These authors take the rough stuff firmly in hand, mix it with a bunch of humor, drive it down a twisty road, then add a sneak peek into book 2 that dropped me right off the cliff. (Happily, I already own it.) The characters and life lessons represented in these pages are really addicting.

This book pulls on your emotions. Natasha's life is a rollercoaster of ups and downs. She feels like her future is laid out for her, but nothing is as it seems.
The writing is good and the story flows well. It's told in Natasha's POV.
I enjoyed reading Perfect Imperfections. It was hard to put down. I needed to know what was going to happen next.

ARC of Perfect Imperfections by J & L Wells was given to me in exchange for an honest review.

Natasha is a woman who wants to be herself and doesn't want to be ruled by her family, her long-term boyfriend, and society's expectations. She wants to live life on her own terms. She doesn't want to be like everyone else. She takes pride in her individuality. She doesn't pretend to be someone she's not.

Natasha feels weighed down with all the choices surrounding her. She doesn't feel like she has a voic
