"Sugar and Spice" by Cecelia Dowdy

My Thoughts....

"Sugar and Spice" was another good 'Bakery Romance series' that will keep your attention turning the pages to see what happening next. The two main characters Sheila Parks and Mason Smith were well defined and believable giving the reader a good Christian romantic fiction read. For Sheila

Boy howdy, is my mouth ever watering! I have been reading about these delicious yummiest for a few days now and have been jealous that they're only in the books and not in my own tummy! But this time, in Sugar and Spice, Cecelia finally includes one of the yummy recipes! I can hardly wait to try making it myself ! !!

How can twin brothers be so different? Sheila was just dumped by Reese. When she sees him in a bakery in her hometown, she flies into a rage and lets him know about it. Oops- it's Reese's twin brother, Mason. When Sheila goes back to apologize, she ends up working for Mason. As they get to know one another, she is constantly amazed at the striking difference. Sugar and Spice (Bakery Romance #4) by Cecelia Dowdy
Starts with Mason and he's opening a new store where he can express his food creations.
Sheila crashes into him and she thinks he's Rafe-who's actually his twin brother. He often is mistaken for Rafe.
Sheila needs a job and she knows bakeries but she hurried out of the store before the interview.
She also has severe money problems and her dad is out of jail and wants to meet with her if she can fly there to spend a few days together for the Christ

I read this story as part of the Frosting and Flurries collection. Sugar and Spice is another sweet romance from this author, and following the relationship develop between Sheila and Mason, the main characters in this novella, made for a delightful read. I thoroughly enjoy this author's books and this is another one from her that I definitely recommend. It is also a part of the Bakery Romance Series, and I also recommend reading the other books in the series. ...more

Enjoyable story

Cecelia Dowdy do not disappoint! She told her story and I could visualize as I was reading. I enjoy the separate storyline of each book. She tied the seven books of this collection, "Bakery Romance series" in an endearing way. I love the characters and how regular working people prove riches are not necessary for a story theme.

Christian romance novella featuring a baker with a stutter and his new hire that was jilted by his identical twin brother. Quick, easy enjoyable read with a touch of romance, a good spiritual thread, and a look out how our childhood memories can sometimes betray us.

I want more

Once again Cecilia did not disappoint. This was a nice book that I could not put down. My heart went out to Mason the minute he was introduced. Cecelia has a way of making you want to know more about her characters and the trials they face.
