Day 6 in the Black Library Advent Calendar brings us 'Fixed' by Robbie MacNiven. While it is my first foray into reading Blood Bowl fiction, I found it immensely enjoyable. The elation and violence of the game were extremely well done, and coupled with the shit-talking and off-the-field backstabbing, and I think we have a winner folks!
This release definitely has me excited to try out the recently released Blood Bowl Box Set, and Mr. Reynolds recently released Blood Bowl story 'The Manglers'.

Fixed by Robbie MacNiven is the sixth story in Black Library’s 2016 Advent Calendar, and the first of three Blood Bowl escapades. When Nordland Raiders star blitzer Greig Garr undergoes unorthodox surgery after suffering a potentially career-ending injury, he’s approached by a decidedly shady character who offers to have him back on his feet in no time…for a price. With the Raiders’ promotion to play for in a crucial match against arch rivals the East End Boyz, and his own career at stake, Garr is faced with a tricky decision to make.

What better way to finish your year (and better up your reading challenge stats) than with a Blood Bowl short story or two?

Garr is the star player for his Nordenland Blood Bowl team - and in serious debt. He's missing a lot of gold to pay and he's missing his leg. Not good odds, facing the East End Boyz for the title and the return to the majors...

A pretty decent BB addition, proving even players who feel past their best or even feel whole (you'll understand) can still come up aces.
