Samantha a.k.a Sam & Jake have yet another adventure, but this time far more dangerous than ever before. The monsters are bigger, the stakes are higher and the risks are much more.

Drasine is a golden dragon, whose flames can heal and empower anyone who touches it. That makes her much desirable for everyone who wants power. But she is kidnapped & guarded by a very strong creature, whose power and abilities are unknown to Sam & Jake. Yet they face him and try to rescue Drasine. But onc

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Sam is feeling a little lonely because Jake is spending less time with her than he used to. It has been almost a year since their last adventure in KiraKu. As they go on their run and Jake gets out of sight, Sam is attacked by a mysterious hyena that comes out of nowhere. As Jake and Uncle Biggie come to her rescue, a myster

This book starts with immediate action. The reader is drawn in. The reader continues to be hooked by cliffhangers at the end of chapters.

I would recommend this book for children thirteen and older. There is too much violence and suggested violence for younger readers. The slave band that Jake had to wear gave me nightmares.

Other than that, I enjoyed the book. It came to a satisfying conclusion with a hint of more to come.

After almost losing their parents one year earlier, Samantha and her neighbor, Jake – child guardians of the sacred staff, WhipEye –are attacked by new, unknown enemies. The children are instructed to find and deliver Drasine to smugglers within 24 hours. If they fail, they will pay with Jake’s life. On their way to seek out Drasine, Sam and Jake find themselves amongst old friends of KiraKu and, although grateful to return to a place which they affectionately call home, time is against them.
