Rate this book
After taking down a corrupt politician at the highest level in Washington, D.C., Spectre has finally found happiness. He and his new family have settled into what they hope will be a quieter life while Kruger and his team continue to hunt terrorists. But when a horrific terror attack rocks a quiet New Orleans suburb, Kruger blames himself and walks away from his team. As the country recovers from the aftermath of the devastating attack in the following weeks, a pilot in Spectre's new squadron mysteriously goes missing. When Spectre convinces Kruger to get back in the game, Kruger and his team soon discover that another, more sinister terror plot is underway. Determined not to let more innocent people die, they must use every resource available to prevent another massacre on U.S. soil and take down those responsible. But as the dead terrorist bodies start to pile up, Kruger and his team once again find themselves one step behind - although this time, not the terrorists, but an unknown vigilante whose mission is to STAND AGAINST EVIL.

Stand Against Evil spends more time with Kruger and the Odin team. After a devastating attack on US soil by ISIS terrorists, the action focuses on their actions. This book is also a backdoor introduction of Lemoine's other series - Alex Shepherd and the titular character. With "Spectre" back in uniform, his ability for independent action diminishes. Spectre can't roam around the US killing targets.

This book starts a new plot line that leads to the next book. It references the events of the past five books making this series more serialized. Compare to Clancy's Jack Ryan where each book is a standalone but does continue Jack's career from CIA analyst to POTUS. Lemoine's approach treats each book like a waffle: each box is unique yet connected to make a coherent slice. There is a meta-plot that Lemoine follows where there is more than just one uber-villain - try three or four but we the reader have not met them until the right time.

Strange sort of good

The book is great, but Spectre has become a side figure to his own story. This is not so much a Spectre story as it is an Odin story. Spectre barely features in it.

The Odin and Shepherd plot lines take center in this book. Good action good character development but the dialogue was a bit cliche.

Another gripping page turner. Or ebook screen flipper as the case may be.

Some of the dialog is a bit repetitive when describing a character’s reactions.

Another ASWESOME novel by Lemoine!!!!

Cal, Michelle, Kruger and gang are trying to save the country again, but fall short. As with past novels by CW, you will need to strap in and hold on for the ride.

There is a mysterious force out to destroy Odin and the group must scatter and regroup to deal with the forces of evil.

Hopefully #7 is coming out soon. I can't wait to see where CW leads the reader on this thrilling ride to save America.
