Time and distance have given me the objectivity to review my own book. I am pleased with it, and know it is as I intended it to be - a childlike read, that creates a magical world within a book, where anything is possible.
I am happy with the characterization, and my hero, Snugs, in particular. He is heroic, because he overcomes a test of character, and survives a solitary "voyage" on a melting iceberg before Captain Lightowler and a menagerie of team-spirited animals on a ship come to his

An excellent story with a touch of magic that focuses on saving our planet. This is a chapter book with very delightful illustrations. This would be a nice storybook to share with a child at bedtime or storytime, spaced over a week or two. It would help listening skills and can be used as a stepping stone to learn about geography, nature, world culture and customs, and global warming. The story is about a little snow bear that takes a journey from Greenland to Iceland and then to England. This m ...more

A truly sweet and delightful read. I was so delighted to receive this book just before X-mas! My daughters simply loved this story and the very animated animals/characters. I'd say this a perfect bedtime or anytime read for children ages 4-11. Highly recommended!

Little, loveable, huggable snow bear Snugs drifts afloat on a melting iceberg, guided by the Northern Lights, and he is far away from home when a cruise ship saves him

— Introduction —

If only Snugs had known that his iceberg was melting … perhaps he would have stayed in Santa Claus’ Magical Greenland? Snugs loves the beautiful Northern Lights but now he is cold and lonely and his iceberg is melting and drifting far away from home. What will happen to Snugs? Come with me and let us fi

Absolutely delightful! This book not only presents positive messages of friendship, acceptance and adventure, but also promotes a sincere appreciation of nature paired with environmental awareness.

It is no easy task to tackle conservation and climate change issues with a light and playful hand. Snugs took me back in time, remembering the illustrated books I read as a child, until they fell apart.

If you have little ones in your life, this book will become an enduring favorite at story time . Wo

A copy of Suzy's magical story has found its way to me, and I must say it's just about the most heart-warming stories I've read. I didn't even realize we were connected on social media until I saw her name popping up in my feed, so I had to rush here and give Suzy all my appreciation.

I loved how warm and magical Snugs turns on the page. It reminds me of Fram the Polar Bear, a story I read and absolutely loved as a kid. I'm not familiar with Suzy's work, but this beautiful story has m

This is a mother-daughter review of a very special book. Snugs took us on a journey of precious love and friendship among animals. The delightful story reassures us that home is always in our hearts and that sometimes the most unlikely of friends- show us this truth. The bright and whimsical images depict lively, loyal animals that accompany Snugs the Snow Bear on his journey. Beautifully illustrated, Most heartwarming was the golden thread woven through the story- carrying a theme of protecting ...more
