The two previous stories in this series, set in and around a paranormal investigations agency masquerading as a gentleman’s club in 1870s Baltimore, focused on psychic powers and paranormal abilities I was somewhat familiar with from previous reading. They are those of a medium in book one and the talent to influence others’ behavior in book two. But this third volume took me in a somewhat more unexpected direction – and I loved that!

Patrick has survived a battle that killed his twin brother, an
Written for Boy Meets Boy Reviews

Patrick is an anomaly. After a head injury caused by a bullet on the battlefield, he seems to have developed telekinetic abilities that he is unwilling to connect to and which are wildly untamed. Finding himself at Club Raven, in the clutches of Remy, whom is anything but shy about his desire, is causing feelings Patrick has been taught is a sin, but the comfort he gets is something he longs for.

This was the sweetest. I really loved Patrick and the way he connect

This book kind of through me. I was a decent read but I will be honest in saying that itleft me confused.

I understand that Patrick suddenly came into his powers when his twin brother was killed and Patrick was injured during war. I also undstand that he had no idea that he had this powers or how him being upset through his powers in affect at full force andthat he could do some major damage. I also unstanc that there are others that are like him that has powers of their own and why he was brough

Book 3 in the Club Raven series (but again, the chronology really doesn't matter; this is second overall, I think).

The plot on this one is the thinnest, by far. Patrick, a former soldier and heir to a family fortune in Texas in the 1870s, has some sort of uncontrollable psychic power that unleashes itself and almost destroys his family when they are going to (creepily) force him to marry his dead brother's (pregnant) fiancée (how Biblical); they react with horror and have him shipped back East t

From that review: " Calling His Bluff (Club Raven #3) by B.A. Tortuga is the best of the 3 Club Raven stories in my opinion. All three are have at their center Club Raven, a mysterious living structure located at the locus of paranormal and/or supernatural power. On the outside its a gentlemen's club for the wealthy with kinky tastes, occasional dungeon parties in the 1890's s

I was given a advanced copy of this book by the author and chose to wrote this review.
This is a M/M romance with paranormal overtones.
Patrick Daniels has a twin Henry. When Henry is killed during battle and since he was the son groomed to take over the family cotton mill and marry up , it now falls to Patrick to take his place. He is expected to marry Henry's fiance Carolina, sire children and take over the running of the mill. There's a problem with that, he doesn't love her and the idea of "b

Patrick Daniels life is changed forever when his father try to force him to marry his late twin brother's fiancée and in distress at not wanting to go through with the wedding, Patrick manifests a very strong psychic power. Fortunately for Patrick, a stranger from the Club Raven in Baltimore, sweeps in to save the day and takes Patrick back with him.

Remy Blanchard sets his eyes on Patrick when he arrives to the Club and decides to nurse him back to health and help him reach his true potential in

I enjoyed the love story between Remy and Patrick. I will admit to not having read the previous two books and account some of my issues with the story to that. I have questions about Patricks’ wound and why he feels is necessary to repeat the phase “My brother was shot.” like it was programmed into him. It kind of creeped me out. I would recommend reading the first two books in the series before reading this one. I enjoyed it but feel I would have enjoyed it more had I not read it out of orde
