Just what we wanted
This list of interesting things to explore in central Texas was just exactly what we wanted for our planned excursions.
We have found the descriptions accurate and interesting, and the food recommended to be excellent.

I like back country hangouts and have visited many of those featured in the book. Some are great places to hang out, others aren't. Still, glad to be directed to new spots. One shortcoming: most are tightly clustered around Austin and central Texas.
