I absolutely love this book! I was quickly swept up in the story and I couldn't put it down. It's fun and entertaining. I absolutely adore Maizie. Beware - you will crave donuts! At least I did. I can't wait to read what happens next.

I received a copy of this manuscript from the author, my review has been voluntarily submitted.

Former teen star Maizie Albright is determined to make a new life for herself in her hometown of Black Pine, Georgia but it’s not easy. Thanks to obstacles being thrown in her path, mainly by her mother, Maizie has her work cut out for her. If she fails, she could wind up back in prison. No way is she going to let that happen.

15 Minutes is the first book in a brand new cozy mystery series and is jam-packed with “laugh out loud” material. It’s filled with zany characters in a crazy, madcap advent

Larissa Reinhart's newest series, Maizie Albright Star Detective, is represented in her first book 15 Minutes. Maizie's character is much different than Ms. Reinhart's other character Cherry Tucker of the Cherry Tucker mystery series. Maizie's life is in a state of turmoil after a Hollywood judge orders her back to her hometown of Black Pine, Georgia, in hopes she will get her act together. Daughter of a control freak mother and a father who is the founder of DeerNose, maker of deer pee coated c ...more

15 Minutes is a fun read and augers well for an exciting future for this new Larissa Reinhart series. Maizie Albright returns home under a cloud of probation and an aura of stardom. The ex-teen idol is paying for his bad taste in men when a judge requires that she return to her somewhat rustic roots and stay away from the evils of Hollywood. More than ready to begin a new and independent stage of her life Maizie wants to train under the only local detective to get her private investigator licens ...more

Enjoyable and entertaining cozy with a kick. Hollywood with a Southern twist. Larissa Reinhart had me smiling and quickly turning the pages to see what mischief Maizie would get into next. I eagerly await her further adventures. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Great new series!

Let me start with the fact I was givin this book in exchange for an honest review.
Looks like Larissa Reinhart has done it yet again. I am in love with Maizie Albright. Not only is she just plain goofy, but she is a stubborn get the job done women. I loved the start to this new series, not only is down right funny, it's also a good mystery that will have you wanting more. I was reminded some of the tv series Veronica Mars, but that's not a bad thing considering I loved that show. I can not wait

I absolutely loved this book. Larissa Reinhart’s newest heroine, Maizie Albright, is at once naïve and worldly. As a former child star, she craves life in the real world by becoming a PI, just like the TV character that made her famous. Armed with humor, charm, and stubborn determination, Maizie is a breath of fresh air. I adored every second of 15 Minutes. Viva la Maizie!

I love Ms. Reinhart's writing, so I was excited to hear there was a new series coming out.
Maizie Albright, late of TV fame, has come back to Black Pine. Under judge's orders to get a job, quickly, and having decided to pursue private investigating, Maizie heads to the office of Nash Security Solutions, where the tantalizing aroma of the Dixie Kreme donut shop downstairs is matched by the view of a partially-dressed Nash.

Talk about sitting on the edge of your seat reading. This book kept me on my toes on what was going to happen to Maizie next. Maizie is a mess - she just wants to do something different with her life, outside of the controls of her momanger but it seems that every time she starts on her detective path, she makes a little mess that her new boss does not seem too thrilled about. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series!

"...Nash raised an eyebrow. "Miss Albright, I've been trying to get rid of you since I met you. Now I'm asking you to do something useful."

Maizie is a bright new light

I could not put this book down! The title may be 15 Minutes, but Maizie shines much longer than that, and I couldn't wait to see what predicament she got herself into--and out of--next. Maizie has the truest heart, and thanks to the Hollywood mischief-makers who won't leave her alone, she also has the worst luck. And a real addiction to donuts. This exciting new series made me laugh and cheer. The characters are likeable and the mystery is intriguing. Can't wait for t

This is the first book in a new series by the author of The Cherry Tucker Mysteries. It was an entertaining read. I'm rooting for Maizie as she tries to chart an independent course as a private investigator in Black Pine, Georgia , away from her Hollywood mom, and reality TV.

Not available Kindle Unlimited {not a slam just means can't read a whole series by this writer}, series Cherry Tucker mysteries and now Maizie Albright series {15 Minutes and coming soon 16 Millimeters}. Cute little cozies. Somehow I managed to get a freebie copy for mobi and received a paperback in mail couple days ago.

This new series is a great mix of Hollywood with Southern charm. Maizie is constantly getting herself into one predicament after another. She has to deal with people from her Hollywood life intruding on what she had hoped would be a quiet life in Georgia. And she has a HUGE addiction to donuts!

This story is totally unpredictable with lots of twists and turns. The big reveal of the killer was a major surprise that I never saw coming. Can't wait to see what the future holds for Maizie!

I received a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

15 Minutes is not my typical genre, so I went into this review trying to convince my romance-loving, bad boy-crushing, fix-the-main-character self that I wouldn’t like this book. I mean, how could I possibly enjoy a murder mystery with only the tiniest hint of romance where the protagonist is just as awkward at the end as she was in the beginning? No ugly duckling transformations? No “And they all lived happily ever after” ending?

I had three more days to get that W-4 sent to Judge Ellis. Three days to publicly extricate Nash’s name from the case and keep his office from folding. Three days to figure out what had happened to Sarah Waverly.

Essentially three days to save two lives and remake my own.

No pressure.

Maizie wants a change in her life, instead of continuing being a tv star she wants to become a private investigator in the Nash Security Solutions, but no one thinks she can do it, so she decides to investigate an invisible case. With new friends and persistence she will have a case, but maybe she will be the next victim!

This is the first book of the Maizie Albright Star Detective Series, and with Maizie's imperfect character and love for donuts I will hope we read soon more of her adventures!

Reading this took me back to when I would always have a Nancy Drew book in my hand. This is a fun and cozy read with a lot of laughs. Larissa is definitely more of a situational comedy YA that you want to at times shake your heard at her when it comes to her choices but at the same time, they make you laugh. There was a few characters in the book that make you raise your eyebrows and tempt you to slap them. This was such a fun read for me and a definite change of pace from my typical thrillers a ...more

Maizie Albright has just returned to Black Pine, Georgia, the small town she lived in as a child (after being ordered by a California judge to finish her Criminal Justice degree, leave Hollywood and showbiz, and get a job in Georgia within 10 days of her arrival).

In Hollywood, Maizie was a celebrity, a teen star on TV's Julia Pinkerton, Teen Detective. She began acting in commercials, and landed her first big role (Kung Fu Kate) at age 9. In Black Pine, 25-year-old Maizie has to make a few adju

So fun!

I loved this book. Maizie is a child actor who is now 25 and must get a job for her probation. She comes home to Black Pine and starts trying to work for Wyatt Nash a private detective. She's thwarted at every turn by her mother and mommy dearest manager, Vicki who wants her to continue her acting career. She is smart and manages to figure out what is really going on in the investigation. Eventually. She is headstrong and loyal and a great protagonist. Looking forward to the next book.

A new Larissa Reinhart book! I’ve been such a huge fan of this author for so long. In her latest offering featuring an amateur sleuth, I love that we got a mix of Hollywood and southern charm, and our heroine Maizie was incredibly charming and so fun to read about. There was mystery, a feisty main character, and somehow a relatable feel throughout. If you haven’t read anything from this author yet I feel you are truly missing out. This is just another to add to your reading list!
