I absolutely love this book! I was quickly swept up in the story and I couldn't put it down. It's fun and entertaining. I absolutely adore Maizie. Beware - you will crave donuts! At least I did. I can't wait to read what happens next.

I received a copy of this manuscript from the author, my review has been voluntarily submitted.

Let me start with the fact I was givin this book in exchange for an honest review.
Looks like Larissa Reinhart has done it yet again. I am in love with Maizie Albright. Not only is she just plain goofy, but she is a stubborn get the job done women. I loved the start to this new series, not only is down right funny, it's also a good mystery that will have you wanting more. I was reminded some of the tv series Veronica Mars, but that's not a bad thing considering I loved that show. I can not wait

I absolutely loved this book. Larissa Reinhart’s newest heroine, Maizie Albright, is at once naïve and worldly. As a former child star, she craves life in the real world by becoming a PI, just like the TV character that made her famous. Armed with humor, charm, and stubborn determination, Maizie is a breath of fresh air. I adored every second of 15 Minutes. Viva la Maizie!

15 Minutes is a fun read and augers well for an exciting future for this new Larissa Reinhart series. Maizie Albright returns home under a cloud of probation and an aura of stardom. The ex-teen idol is paying for his bad taste in men when a judge requires that she return to her somewhat rustic roots and stay away from the evils of Hollywood. More than ready to begin a new and independent stage of her life Maizie wants to train under the only local detective to get her private investigator licens ...more

Former teen star Maizie Albright is determined to make a new life for herself in her hometown of Black Pine, Georgia but it’s not easy. Thanks to obstacles being thrown in her path, mainly by her mother, Maizie has her work cut out for her. If she fails, she could wind up back in prison. No way is she going to let that happen.

15 Minutes is the first book in a brand new cozy mystery series and is jam-packed with “laugh out loud” material. It’s filled with zany characters in a crazy, madcap advent

I love Ms. Reinhart's writing, so I was excited to hear there was a new series coming out.
Maizie Albright, late of TV fame, has come back to Black Pine. Under judge's orders to get a job, quickly, and having decided to pursue private investigating, Maizie heads to the office of Nash Security Solutions, where the tantalizing aroma of the Dixie Kreme donut shop downstairs is matched by the view of a partially-dressed Nash.
However, Mr.

Larissa Reinhart's newest series, Maizie Albright Star Detective, is represented in her first book 15 Minutes. Maizie's character is much different than Ms. Reinhart's other character Cherry Tucker of the Cherry Tucker mystery series. Maizie's life is in a state of turmoil after a Hollywood judge orders her back to her hometown of Black Pine, Georgia, in hopes she will get her act together. Daughter of a control freak mother and a father who is the founder of DeerNose, maker of deer pee coated c ...more

Enjoyable and entertaining cozy with a kick. Hollywood with a Southern twist. Larissa Reinhart had me smiling and quickly turning the pages to see what mischief Maizie would get into next. I eagerly await her further adventures. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Great new series!

Maizie is a bright new light

I could not put this book down! The title may be 15 Minutes, but Maizie shines much longer than that, and I couldn't wait to see what predicament she got herself into--and out of--next. Maizie has the truest heart, and thanks to the Hollywood mischief-makers who won't leave her alone, she also has the worst luck. And a real addiction to donuts. This exciting new series made me laugh and cheer. The characters are likeable and the mystery is intriguing. Can't wait for t

This is the first book in a new series by the author of The Cherry Tucker Mysteries. It was an entertaining read. I'm rooting for Maizie as she tries to chart an independent course as a private investigator in Black Pine, Georgia , away from her Hollywood mom, and reality TV.

I Love Larissa's work. This one was a bit slow to start but got into it as the story went along. I really enjoyed the last half of the book when Maizie started taking charge. The naming of what she wore and stuff I have no clue to most of it. I do know it's expensive. I am looking forward to what is going to happen and how she grows. It was great that she had "words" with her mom at the end. I like that there are a bunch of different people Maizie has and can't wait who is involved and maybe a b ...more

Talk about sitting on the edge of your seat reading. This book kept me on my toes on what was going to happen to Maizie next. Maizie is a mess - she just wants to do something different with her life, outside of the controls of her momanger but it seems that every time she starts on her detective path, she makes a little mess that her new boss does not seem too thrilled about. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series!

I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review.

"...Nash raised an eyebrow. "Miss Albright, I've been trying to get rid of you since I met you. Now I'm asking you to do something useful."

She has moved back home and living with her blended family is becoming a different kind of torture. She's actually got the education to be a real PI. Question is, how can she overcome the percepti

This new series is a great mix of Hollywood with Southern charm. Maizie is constantly getting herself into one predicament after another. She has to deal with people from her Hollywood life intruding on what she had hoped would be a quiet life in Georgia. And she has a HUGE addiction to donuts!

This story is totally unpredictable with lots of twists and turns. The big reveal of the killer was a major surprise that I never saw coming. Can't wait to see what the future holds for Maizie!

I received a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

15 Minutes is not my typical genre, so I went into this review trying to convince my romance-loving, bad boy-crushing, fix-the-main-character self that I wouldn’t like this book. I mean, how could I possibly enjoy a murder mystery with only the tiniest hint of romance where the protagonist is just as awkward at the end as she was in the beginning? No ugly duckling transformations? No “And they all lived happily ever after” ending?

Humor Mystery and Romance

Maizie Albright is quite a character. She's 25 years old and still has a problem standing up to her mother. You'll understand why when you read the book. Her mother is a professional agent and boss and has spent her time telling her child star daughter what to do and when to do it. This, of course, has led Maizie to rebel and wind up on probation with an order from the judge to secure employment within ten days of her release and her freedom relies on staying away from

What happens to a teen actor and reality star after she leaves Hollywood? Maizie Albright returns home to Black Pine, Georgia to become a private investigator, that's all she wants is to do her two year internship and move on. Unfortunately there are people in Black Pine who won't allow it. Her mom who was her manager and the ex-wife of the private investigator she is to work for. My favorite scene is when she helps serve a subpoena at a beauty salon. Maizie realizes that real life is nothing li ...more

A refreshing star detective

I really liked this book! The start of the book was a bit slow to my taste as a detective story so that's why only 4 stars instead of 5. It was fun getting to experience the detective world in Mazie's boots or more likely in designer heels. I want to read more and especially get to know Nash and his Paul Newman eyes better! Oh the sparks I felt just reading about those eyes! It was a great escape from the reality but just real enough to dive into their adventure!

This fun-filled adventure was full of curves - like Maizie. Watching her figure out who she really is had this reader rooting for her to succeed.

Maizie's not fazed by Wyatt Nash's lack of enthusiasm in hiring her as a trainee at Nash Security Solutions - she has a court order to get a job or serve an LA jail term - long story.....

Enjoyable characters and a great plot premise. Looking forward to more Maizie!

Breezy Read!

Great new start to a new series. Maizie is just delightful. Love her sidekicks, Rhonda & Tiffany, & baby sister Remi, who all provide lots of comic relief. I found the plot entertaining & a fun read! Interactions between Maizie & new boss Nash crackle with sexual tension. I think Larissa Reinhart has another hit on her hands.

Not bad at all.

It's silly, of course, and I got quickly tired of the fashion name dropping. But it's well written, the story was fine, the main character was likeable; and, really, the premise was entertaining. Yeah, I'd read the next one
