Fleeing from a relationship gone horribly wrong, Jocelyn Frazier makes the choice to start a new life. If only her car had gotten the memo. Stranded in the parking lot of what seemed to be a night club, she walks into a world she never knew existed. A new job with room and board are the answer to her prayers, but can she really outrun the ghosts of her past or will they come back to claim her?
Broken trust…
Master Caine has just come out of a five-year Master/sub arrangement after a bitter breakup. He spies the new barmaid instantly, dismissing her as just another pretty face. When circumstances put them in close proximity, his resolve to stay at a distance is put to the test. He finds himself enamored by the curvaceous blonde. Soon the teacher becomes the student and he learns that the gift of trust might just be the greatest surrender of all.
Surrender by Erzabet Bishop is a novella in the Crave series. For those of you who haven't read Crave, (Including me, a big mistake shortly to be rectified, I assure you,) Crave is a BDSM club owned by Master Gage. Who now is in a successful triad relationship.
Jocelyn Frazier's car dies while she's on the run from an abusive relationship. She also has a blind chihuahua, Mr Inky that she's brought with her. She's lucky enough to have landed outside of Crave, where she's taken in, and given room, board, and a job.
She also catches the eye of fetish photographer Master Caine, whose new book will have to be reshot thanks to the cheating submissive who modeled for him in the first place. But will Jocelyn warm up to a lifestyle involving impact play after years of abuse? Her stay is only supposed to be temporary, what happens when two damaged souls get together? And just how much of a threat is her past?
My only honest to goodness issue is that this was so short and that I would have loved to see more of Caine and Jocelyn's story. And Roxy was a total hoot! I'd love to read her story as well.
Erzabet turns this group into a loving, kinky family who takes care of each other, and really, who wouldn't want to be a part of her world? Sign me up! I want more!
This is such a short but sweet story. It makes for a perfect afternoon read with a glass of wine by the fireplace. I think I would have preferred if this had been a little longer. It had a lot of potential, but it felt rather rushed.
A new beginning and broken trust bring two souls closer together at a time neither expected. Time heals all things and time can also build a trust that can open doors to that new beginning.
Jocelyn needed a change. She took that change for herself and never expected to arrive to this point in time. She finds more than a safe-haven. She finds herself a new beginning.
Caine master of what he surveys find that life will not always cave to his will. Things seems to change for him when he spots Jocelyn. With time his trust issues slowly heal and he begins a bond with an exceptional being. She brings to him more than his need. She brings to him that fragile thread that ties souls together.
I got another good red form Bishop. This one will keep the pages turning and you wanting a bit more. Caine and Jocelyn provide that something each were looking for and darning not to dream of.
This is a wonderful story of healing and finding love. The two main characters in this story are both damaged by past loves. Sparks fly when the main characters meet, as they come to know one another they find themselves healing from their past relationships.
This is a story that will quickly draw you in and keep you turning the pages. The characters are well rounded and drawn out. I look forward to reading more from this author.
I received a copy of this manuscript from the author, this review has been voluntarily submitted..
I was given a copy of this book by the author and chose to review it What do you get when a woman running from an abusive and crazy ex and a Dom betrayed by his Sub meet? A great read about a second chance at love . If only they both can let go of the past and see what's right in front of them. A short but steamy BSDM romance from one of the best in the romance department. I really enjoy her stories and this didn't dissapoint. Independent reviewer for Romance Authors That Rock. 5 steamed up hearts.
This is a short I won't say fun read, due to the back history of abuse, but it is an enjoyable read. Ms Bishop has written a wonderful story about two people that need to heal and find that chance in each other. Even though this book touches on abuse and BDSM it really is a love story. I highly recommend this book. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
