Nancy Krulik is the author of more than 100 books for children and young adults, including three New York Times bestsellers. The How I survived middle school series is about a thirteen year old girl named Jenny who gets into all sorts of mischief with the pops(the popular/mean girls who rule the school).Now its "Spirit week"and Jenny and her friends are having a competition to see who has the most school spirit.

My opinion is that the book could have ended in a better more precise way.

I recomend this book to any one who is going through"drama"at there school or someone not being treated completly fair.

i remember reading this book in 3rd and 4th grade and really liking it, to the point where i reread it. i just had a dream where the author continued the series into surviving adulthood and just wanted to remember this!

i remember back in 2009 there was a website for this series. and i really wanted to read the other books but i got this at a scholastic book fair and never saw the other books again!

I like this book because it shows you that even if your best friend betrays you, you can still get newer and better ones. I think that 5 graders would like this more and would help them when their friend betrays them and they could learn how to make new ones.

You guys are probably wondering why I am reading a little kids book. But the real reason is that I was reading it for school and it was a requirement for me to read 2 books that we short.


This book is about this girl named Jenny and she goes to Joyce Kilmer Middle school. She has 3 friends named: Liza, Felicia, Chloe. The antagonist in the is story are the Pops who are the popular girls who think that they know it all. The Pops names are: Addie and some other girls.Jenny tries to show some school spirit for spirit week but the Pops try to go against Jenny and have more spirit so that they can feel happy. But one day they see a lion mascott walking around in the lunch cafeteria and they wonder who is in the suite and Jenny asks Marc who is in the suite but no one answers. So they finally find out that it was Maya who was in the suite. All of kids in cafeteria were at the lion and they thought that the suite looked retarted and it was all old and it has been sitting in the storage closet for a long time.


My opinion: This book was really interesting the authour kept me wanting to know more about what the resolution was going to be in this story. I feel that these type of books are very interestung and you definently fall in love with all of character except for the Pops of course....haha.....

I really liked the book Who's got spirit because it was really interesting and I didn't even want to stop reading my book. I also liked the book because it really shows how a group of friends try to show how they got school spirit for spirit week. I like how they do that to show a different group of friends the "popular"girls that they aren't the only ones who have school spirit. I recommend this book to people who hate reading because this book really motivates you to read I also recommend this book to people who are interested in girl drama type of books because this book really looks like it's a little kids book but when you actually read it you can't stop. If you are interested in reading this book than don't wait any longer and try to get the book "Who's Got Spirit?" by Nancy E. Krulik and I promise you will like the book!

I think that this book is really nice and it helps with some work in school because it is "How I Survived Middle School" and the name "How's Got Spirit" tells that it is kind of a race of spirit and beauty. Actually this book is about surviving the work in middle school and about races between two kinds of students, the first kind are the normal ones that just do everything like normal people do and don't try to be cooler than everybody else, and there is the second kind who try to always be cooler and always making the normal people try to be like them and get into there group of six people that are supper cool called the "pop's" from the word "popular".

I really enjoyed reading this book. It is about Joyce Kilmer Middle School having Spirit Week where everyone dresses up to show spirit for their school. It is Jenny's friends vs the Pops to show who can show more spirit. Meanwhile, they have to work on their science project for the Science Fair and Chole gets to love animals and makes a new best friend, Bud and adopts one at the animal shelter and makes another new best friend, Bingo. Everyone shows off their sciency talents and the Science Fair and everyone loves Spirit Week!! MUST READ!!!

THis is book is verrry good! It is about Jenny and her friends competing aginst the "pops" in Spirit Week. Then the school mascot comes out at every game and peprally and nobody knows who it is! People like the "pops" think it is Maya but Jenny and her friends think it is Marc. Who is in the mascot suit? And more importantly who will win the "compition" between Jenny and her friends and the "pops"???

This book was very good addy and jenny got into a fight and made a bet that whoever gets the most money from there booth will win and if you dont have the most money you have to wear your pjs to school and so of course jenny wins and so addy has to wear her pjs to school but nobody laughs when she goes down the hall , people start to ask if they should wear there pjs to school.

CLICHE. REPETATIVE. AHHHHH! watse of time! Chick flick isnt really my fave genre but some chick flicks can be good ( eg. Devon Delaneys secret identity) But this was really really cliche. I could tell how this book was going to end after reading the first chapter. NO JOKE. And this whole series is really repetative. The best, AND I MEAN THE BEST I could give this book was 2 stars.
