Johnny holds nothing back in telling his story, and there's a rhyme to his reason. He sets out to leave behind the lessons he's learned, and this book hits the mark. Quick and interesting read as a Nebraska boy who grew up hearing stories about Johnny Rodgers. Editing was pretty abysmal as typographical, grammatical, and just general errors in logic repeatedly pulled me out of the story (beginning with the sentence in the first chapter lamenting that "I wish I knew now what I knew then"). Overall, an entertaining read that gave me more insight into a local legend.

I enjoy biographies, so biased to score them higher. It's a good read for someone who is familiar with Johnny and NU football. Not a particularly well written book with a few major gaps in the story. It's a quick read.
