Hell invaded Earth for three days – and then it suddenly stopped. Or did it? Mr. Rhee knows there are still monsters left behind among the survivors of the “Three Days of Darkness,” and he’s willing to take extreme measures to prove the world is not as safe as it seems. Who can you trust in a post-rapture world? Only Mr. Rhee knows for sure… or does he?
Dirk Manning is best known as the writer/creator of comic series such as TALES OF MR. RHEE (Devil’s Due Publishing) and NIGHTMARE WORLD (Image Comics/Shadowline).
Don't let Dirk’s penchant for writing horror comics and his tongue-in-cheek publicity photo with the black hat and scarf fool you, as he’s a very amicable and approachable guy both online and at the numerous convention appearances and book signings he attends every year.
Dirk's signing and convention schedule is regularly updated at www.DirkManning.com and when he's not on the road (or writing) he can be found interacting with readers and friends at Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr. Cthulhu is his homeboy.
I absolutely love this series. When I started reading volume one, I couldn't put it down. I had to keep reading, and I have felt that way about volume 2, and now volume 3. Tales of Mr. Rhee takes place after an apocalyptic event, where monsters now roam the world. Mr. Rhee is a magician, and the series follows him while he encounters other people, monsters, and dives into his past. What I have really loved about each volume is the different sides you get to see to Mr. Rhee. Volume 3 flows perfectly from Volume 2, and goes more into his dealings with a demon, who considers himself a friend. I can't wait to read the next volume in this epic series!
