The higher the risk, the harder the fall.

Maj. Missy Malden loves her job, her plane, and its pilot-not that she could ever let him know. He's way too cocky, way too sexy, and in their job, any distraction is way too dangerous. But when a training exercise spirals out of control, Missy's in the hot seat, and Conrad's the only one who can bail her out . . .

I’ll start by saying I didn’t read Aces Wild and had no problem following this story. I’ll also skip a summary because the one given on the book is way better than anything I can write, lol. Each book appears to show a separate character/couple’s reaction to one event and the ensuing dilemmas that occur. In Wingman, we have Missy and Conrad’s experience after a plane crash involving Missy’s best friend, Elizabeth. Missy is immediately arrested and under heavy suspicion. Conrad is determined to c ...more

Thankfully, Book 1, Wild Aces, was enjoyable because you have to go read that before you start Wingman. There is a big conspiracy going on at the Red Flag competition where all the best pilots in the world are invited to come compete against each other for fun, and these pilots find themselves unwitingly dragged into it.

This second book focuses on Missy and Conrad. Conrad is the pilot and Missy handles weapons and navigations. Missy and Conrad are both sexually attracted to each other and both k

Wingman was fast paced, suspenseful and sensual. It brings back what happened in Aces Wild, you don’t need to read that for this, and brings a twist to it. Now it is from the accusation side of what happened. We get twists, turns, reveals, danger, and romance.
Missy is great at her job. She has left behind a horrible childhood and made something of herself. Unfortunately she has also fallen for her partner Conrad. A man that she thinks is footloose and fancy free. At times he does stick his foot

Enjoyed Conrad and Missy's story. Looking forward to more from this series. Review to come...

This was the second book in this series. It's a standalone romance plot, but the suspense plot is ongoing throughout the books, and you only get to see the suspense plot from the main character's perspective in each book, so you learn different things along the way. It's quite a different way of writing romantic suspense. I like the style, but after the first book, there was no info about book 2, so the suspense plot felt unfinished, and I had no way of knowing if it would be finished down the l ...more

Major Missy Malden and Lieutenant Colonel Francis Conrad both know that getting involved with each other could cause too much of a distraction, so they're determined to deny their feelings, even if that means that Missy does the one thing Conrad doesn't expect. However, when Missy finds herself in trouble in being accused of treason, Conrad is determined to do everything he can to protect her. Yet, keeping her safe will mean taking risks including the biggest -- putting everything on the line. W

Major Missy Malden loves what she does, and is damn good at her job, and she'd never do anything to jeopardize it... so falling for her pilot would be completely out of the question. Problem is, that it has already happened, now she knows she needs to separate herself from him and the forbidden situation she has created, so she puts in a transfer. But will that really be enough, and what will happen when Conrad finds out the real reason why she is breaking up the indomitable partnership that the ...more

I am loving this series! The super strong ladies excelling in male dominated military professions are phenomenal. This story can be read as a standalone since it happens concurrently with book one, just from a different perspective. I do highly recommend reading book one since it was phenomenal.

Missy is a weapons specialist flying with a pilot she had been in love with for a while. She knows it can be professionally damaging, but it really doesn't matter since Conrad treats her like a buddy and

This is the 2nd book in the Elite Ops series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment & understanding of the series, I recommend reading in order.

Missy works with Conrad every day. She realizes what a player he is, and decides she must change the course for her future. When all goes boom, it is a good thing he is on her side.

Conrad has been in love with Missy and doing whatever he has to for her not to find out. It could kill both of their careers if their superiors

This is book 2 of this amazing new series. I think this book could be read as a standalone and be enjoyed as such. It explained the back plot that began in the first book quite well and had its own plot to work through. The back plot is moved forward and becomes even more exciting and I really have to say I loved this book more than the first. I connected with the characters right off and was deeply involved in their story. I know I met them in the first book but they really shined in this one. ...more

WTH! Accusations are running wild. That's one way to keep everyone running chasing ghost. Or doing nothing at all.
Conrad thinks he is in love with Missy, but he doesn't know anything about her other than the skills she brings as his Wingman. So his little "getting to know you" date was so thoughtful. And the fact that Missy didn't hold anything back just shows her willingness to explore what they have.

You'll definitely want to read the first book in this series before reading this one. The intrigue and drama were over the top and unrealistic, but the relationship was fun to read. Missy and Conrad were a good match, both in and out of the cockpit.
wingman picks up in the middle of the action for aces wild. eleanor's friend missy malden is accused of trying to kill her and is being framed for it. but her longtime pilot, francis conrad, the man she's been secretly in love with for years, will not let that stand. he knows missy is innocent. and he also knows that she is intent on making a change. having recently put in for a transfer that has him reeling.

she thinks he's reeling because he needs her as his weapons specialist and that it's all
