This book had all the elements that I look for in a book. The writing was strong and there were no areas where I was pulled out of the story by the writing. The dialog believable and Emmy and Christopher spoke like real people. I liked the characters, and it was a second chance romance. yet, this one didn't totally work for me.

Emmy and Christopher met a couple of years ago, had a couple of day romance and then, for reasons you find out in t

I've mostly read Amanda's YA books before a few years back and I loved them.So I was quite surprised and excited to see that she was writing a new contemporary romance series!

This is a second chance romance with a beautiful setting and lovely characters!
Emmy and her sisters have inherited the Wishing Bridge Farm after their aunt's death, and though her other two sisters aren't too keen on keeping the farm, Emmy desperately wants to save it.And she has the plan.If she manages to plan and pull off

The Book Junkie Reads . . .
Something neither of them planned for but it turned out to be the best decision that either of their hearts could make for them. Emmy was just looking so secure the future of her farm. Chris was looking for a leg up. Neither would guess that the very event would change their lives forever. I had fun watching these two do what they do and then work to not get caught in the lie that was real. This one had laughs from the start of the thing being set in to motion. Emmy was working so hard to keep t ...more

Bottom Line. This is my first book my Amanda Ashby and although I wasn't blown out of the water, I think I'll probably be checking out the next two books in this trilogy. I liked Emmy and Christopher—they were both very nice and sweet characters, basically already in love with one another (or at least hung up on one another) when the book starts. The reason for the 3-star rating is that it was a little bit slow-going and kind of boring at times; I hate stupid conflict ploys, so I can't believe I ...more

Emmy needs for this weekend to go perfectly. It's her first wedding in her new business as a wedding planner and up to this point, things just haven't been going that great. So she finds herself at the airport to pick up the best man - who ends up drawing the lucky straw and will be staying with her at her farm, since the groom's brother caused a flood at the inn everyone was staying at, leaving no place for the man to stay.

The last person she wanted and thought she would see was Christopher...

Clean and relatively light hearted small town, opposites attract, second chance romance

Falling for the Best Man by Amanda Ashby is my first read by this author but won’t be my last as I really enjoyed this relatively clean and light hearted small town, opposites attract, second chance romance.

Told from dual perspectives, Emmy and Christopher appear as complete opposites but when put together they have an incredible chemistry and compliment each other nicely. Emmy, a wedding planner determined t

Emmy Watson is just trying to make it happen. It being the saving of her family farm, Wishing Bridge Farm. This is a fun, flirty, light read that sucked me in from the very first page. Emmy and Christopher are great characters and their story will have you chuckling and rooting for them all the way through.

Emmy Watson is working hard to save the family farm. Getting her event planning business of the ground by pulling of a wedding that is full of disasters is the first step. She's determined not to give up though even when she goes to pick of the best man at the airport and he turns out to be the man

Such a sweet full of heart story. I loved Emmy's antics on her dealings with Christopher. The two of them together were hilarious, sweet and a lot of fun. They made a great team. I enjoyed the quaint town she lived in along with the neighbors and their meddling. They took care of each other and pushed each other to want more and get out of their comfort zone.

This is such a feel good story that draws you in and makes you want more from this town, especially Emmy's sisters' stories.

Wanting to keep Wishing Bridge Farm in her family; the farm that she inherited with her two sisters, Emmy Watson is planning her first wedding as a wedding planner to be hosted at the farm. But with a hysterical bride, the groom's brother being a handful and the best man being her house-guest; a guest she'd rather not have, Emmy doesn't know whether she can pull it off or not.

Christopher Henderson can't believe that the woman he hooked up with two years ago is the wedding planner for

I really enjoyed this sweet and easy small town romance with its hint of second chances and strained sisterly relationships. Emmy and Christopher couldn’t be more different in what they want from life, yet somehow, someway, they manage to understand each other better than anyone they’ve ever met.

I liked Emmy a lot and I got really angry at the way her sisters kept trying to force her to go out into the world and spread her wings. She’s a home body, she loves the farm and the town of Sunshine, an

Another sweet read with many twists and turns that kept me glued to my reader.
What I really loved about this book was the fact that even though the hero and the heroine sometimes caved in when things got rough but miraculously they are capable of talking to each other, of not misinterpreting things every five seconds but to communicate - with each other to boot. Novel idea, right?

Despite the odds are rather stacked against them, somehow Emmy and Christopher just can't help falling for each oth

An adorable, quick read!

If you're like me, once you start a book you have a hard time doing anything else until you know the whole story. While I did manage to put it down and sleep, it didn't take too many hours to read and it was utterly adorable. -which makes me happy I read it and even better than I haven't "lost" too much time to it. Perfect.

This was my first read from Amanda Ashby and I really enjoyed it! It had every aspect a good romance novel would have, the love story, the heart break, the feelings!!!

Spoiler (I guess?)- one thing I didn’t really care for was the constant need of pushing each other away. It kind of made the main characters somewhat annoying. Obviously you’re going to end up together why fight it!!!

Wonderful setting and characters!

This story was beautifully written. The characters were lovely to get to know and you really embrace the setting of Wishing Bridge Farm and Sunshine, CT. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

If you are looking to a beautiful, fun, flirty and sweet read then go no further than Amanda Ashby's Falling For The Best Man.

I devoured this book without realising it. I picked it up and before I knew it, I was done and turning the last page with a big fat smile on my face. I got lost in the small town romance and sweetness of the story.

Emmy and Christopher were a delight to read as they circled each other and the snap and crackle of attraction that surrounds them like air.

I knew right away that I was going to enjoy this book. The way that Amanda Ashby writes is so down to earth and she makes you feel like you are a part of the story as it unfolds. I got sucked into this one and could not put it down until I was done. The best part about this is that it is a series and we get more!! Yay!

Received an ARC for my voluntary review for netgalley. The book was ok, not bad but also not great. Chris and Emma had previously met years ago, they were actually a hook up. Emma has just started a new business as a wedding planner trying to save the family farm, which is not only falling apart, but both of her sisters whom have equal shares in, want to sell. Since there was a accident in the small towns inn, due to water damage and all the other guest were relocated elsewhere, there were no ro ...more

Now this is my kind of romance novel. Falling For The Best Man drew me in from the first page, and kept my attention, the entire length of the book. The two main characters are from a different world, yet, they are each other's soulmates, no matter how much they do not want to admit it.
The conflict is real, and understandable, from both sites. What was refreshing was, that the intimate scenes were toned down, so if you prefer cleaner (not completely clean) fiction, this book is one of the bette

This was a sweet read.

Here, we have Emmy and Christopher. They met years ago in NYC and spent a hot weekend together, only to part at the end of it. Now they meet again at a wedding Emmy is organizing, and things couldn’t be more awkward between these two… except now Christopher has to stay at Emmy’s house, lol.

There were a lot of unresolved issues between these two, mostly why Emmy didn’t want to stay with Christopher years ago. Also, they both live completely different lives with E
