Cast from her home, Jessa struggles to find a place among the realms. With the loss of power, her premonitions are vague and tormenting. However with Micha at her side, she has hope for the future. Micha has found his stride as the Ancient King. Nevertheless, the Shadows refuse to allow a Faerie sit on the Ancients' throne, keeping them apart. Instead of fighting against he Shadows, he focuses his rage on the one who stole Jessa's powers, a hidden heir herself. When he thinks he has everything under control, he is pulled into a dire situation that will force Jessa's hand. Accepting what needs to be done, Jessa takes a risk to save Micha - a choice that may be her last.
Tonya Coffey writes fantasy romance with heart and atmosphere, weaving mystical symbolism and emotional depth into every story. She delights in exploring the fragile line between longing and destiny, crafting worlds where love is the boldest magic of all. For Tonya, storytelling is more than words on a page — it’s a joy, a calling, and a way to share the wonder she loves most.
Is there nowhere in the realms that will accept the love that Micha and Jessa share? Is there no one to champion their plight? Her powers are gone, but premonitions still ravage her heart and mind and what she sees terrifies her. Jessa is caught between the love she has for Micha and the one thing she may have to do to insure his life will go on.
Micha is learning to hone his ability to be the Ancient King, but a King needs a Queen and the Shadows have denied him his heart’s desire. They refuse to accept having a Fairie fouling their ancient throne. But how can he marry another when his heart belongs to Jessa? Will Micha become a victim of deceit and the wicked machinations of a power hungry man and his equally selfish daughter? He has no time for games as he focuses his ire on the fact that his Jesse is a hidden royal, herself and the one who stole her powers is determined to trap her within their grasp.
Tonya Coffey’s PINK MOON is intense and emotionally driven as sharing love with each other is becoming a distant prize once again stolen from within Micha and Jessa’s grasp. What would you do for love? Who would you fight to save the one you love? What are you willing to give up for love? These are the questions that pummel both Micha and Jessa and both are willing to make the greatest sacrifice of all. Fierce love, fierce opponents, treachery and two souls meant to be together against worlds that would deny them with ease. Who says fantasy is all sunshine and hearts? There is grit, pain and an excellent storyteller in Tonya Coffey who brings her world to life, while opening the doors to our imaginations. I read to live another magical life with characters like these, I want to be entertained and Tonya Coffey has definitely entertained me with her words.
I received this copy from Tonya Coffey in exchange for my honest review.
My rating: 4.5 Stars Series: A New World - Book 3 Publication Date: November 24, 2016 Publisher: Tonya Coffey Genre: Teen/YA Fantasy Print Length: 217 pages Available from: Amazon | Barnes & Noble For Reviews & More: http://tometender.blogspot.com
Jessa and Micha are back again for this entertaining third installment. It really seems as though their stars are misaligned as either the Fairies or the Ancients or the Shadows or the Sylphs are constantly getting in the way of their happiness. Now Jessa has lost her powers and it's up to Micha to protect her but with all the conniving fairies and a new threat in Aurora and her daughter it's a very daunting task. The author again weaves a charming story filled with heart and beautiful imagery. This is another lovely and clean YA story by Tanya Coffey that I recommend to readers of all ages.
Pink Moon by Tonya Coffey A New World Series Book 3 Publisher: Saguaro Books
I received a copy of this ebook from the author, Tonya Coffey in exchange for an honest review. Pink Moon is book 3 of A New World series. Micha is continuing to learn his role as King of Ancients. He still wants to marry Jessa. But the Shadows refuse to allow a Faerie on the throne. Unable to marry Jessa, Micha decides to track down the person that stole Jessa’s powers. Jessa is without her powers now but is still tormented with premonitions. Will Micha and Jessa ever find a way to be together? This book is very well written and has kept me wanting to read more. It kept my attention from beginning to end. It is a very good read. I rate it 5 stars and would highly recommend it.
The gods had kept record on scrolls of how the world was 1st. created. In the diaries the Seer emphasized the squabbles between the dark/light. The Elementals would 1 day stop the Sylph & the Sorcerer would then have all the powers of the realms. King Hicort said all realms relied on each other in order to survive. Finally the Sorceress would do away with the Faerie Queen. Marcus (Grandfather) & Bren listened/watched as the Keeper read King Micha (the Ancients) future. He must select & marry a Queen. The candidate is Roselle. Not really what the King had in mind. King Micha fought with the Executioners & Zeus & his band helped rescue Jessa Slipper from the Falls.
He later had to meet with the Shadows. A Mystic (Sorcerer) lived among the Faery population absorbing their powers. A ½ Sylph can acquire the Queen’s powers. What happpened to Romulus? Garret & the Enforcers were out looking for the Mystic. Who did Cynthia cast a spell on?
I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one. All thoughts & opinions are entirely my own.
A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written fantasy book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great fantasy movie, an animated cartoon or better yet a mini TV series. Not my normal read nut I still enjoyed it. That said I will still rate it at 5 stars.

Jessa has lost her powers but is still plagued by premonitions. Micha is learning his role as Ancient King and longs to marry Jessa. The problem is the Shadows refuse to allow a Faerie on the throne. Instead, Micha is matched with a power hungry man and his daughter. Unable to marry Jessa, Micha decides to hunt down the person that stole her power. But Jessa is haunted by her premonitions and finds the only way to make sure Micha will rule and is determined to make sure that happens.
It’s so hard to read about two people that care about themselves so much but how others are bound and determined to keep them apart. I really do hope that they find a way to rule together. There are several that don’t want Jessa and Micha together but then there are others bound and determined to get power wherever they can.
This is a great series. This book has a great ending that has me anticipating the next book. If you are a fan of Young Adult Fantasy, you need to read this series.
I received Pink Moon from the author and Ultimate Fantasy Books for free. This has in no way influenced my opinion of this book.
Although it would probably have a more profound effect on this review if I had read the first two books in the series, Pink Moon can be read as a "stand alone" and the reader still able to follow. This story is about a young girl thrown into a world she, originally, never knew existed, only to be betrayed by those who were suppose to be the most loyal to her. It is, also, about unconditional love a young girl and a young man share for each other...a forbidden love. The ending succeeded in stimulating the reader's curiosity but felt somewhat incomplete. It is the type of book one needs the whole series to get the full effect of the tales of this couple. The characters are quite well developed, the scenes vividly portrayed, the Book Cover is attractive and eye-catching, however, I failed to discover why the title was chosen...It vaguely referred to a Pink Moon. I enjoyed reading it and it would be a good series for YA. It is very "clean". This book was gifted me but in no way affects my honest review I have given. I offer a Three Stars rating.
I think this book was my favorite of the series so far. Jessa and Micha are both growing so strong and so much is going on. I can't wait to read the next book and see what happens.
I received a free copy of Pink Moon the third book in The New World Series in exchange for an honest review. Pink Moon is a fantasy romance novel set in a world parallel to this one. I guess it's parallel the author never really goes into specifics about it. I would have liked to know more about where they were in connection to each other. It's a completely different world from every other fairy story I have read. The author does a great job building her world and explaining what happened to cause things to be the way they are. The pacing was perfect. I loved it! I didn't care for Jessa or Micha. I thought they were weak. They let everyone control their lives and decisions. To me, I would have liked to see Micha stand up for himself and Jessa against the shadows at least a little bit, when he didn't I lost a little respect for him. Despite not really caring for the main characters I found myself hoping that they would stand up for themselves and each other. The end killed me and since I am so invested in this story I am patiently waiting for the next book in the series.
Another gripping, cliffhanging extension of Micha and Jess's story! Pink Moon was incredibly compelling, well-written, and filled with even more mystery. As I read through the pages, I remained in constant wonder, hoping that this time they (Micha and Jess) would find a way to be together. Alas, fate had to disrupt their desirous course of unity of peace, and make their journey a almost impossible one. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book from Tonya Coffey. It's wonderfully imaginative and descriptive. I can't wait to read the next one, and root for them as they find a way to triumph over the strife and be together.
Coffey kindly sent me the third installment in her series, A New World, to review. I reviewed the first two books what feels like forever ago but it wasn’t hard to recall where things left off and settle right back into Jessa’s story.
Things really escalated in Pink Moon as secrets are unveiled altering the course of the kingdoms’ futures. Overall it was a fun read full of characters with heart, hidden motives, and a world waiting at their fingertips.
Plagued with obstacles to overcome and riddled with truths to face, Pink Moon continues a fantasy adventure that Jessa never could have guessed. Exciting, fun, and romantic – get out your battle swords and get ready to play.
This is the third instalment of “A New World” Series by Tonya Coffey. Jessa, the central figure of the plot is in a struggle to find her place among the realms with Micha, her lover to be with her in whatever realm accepts her. But unfortunately, just like another Romeo-Juliet story, both Jessa and Micha’s realms are against one another and would kill but accept the other’s queen as their own. I am not so much of a fan of young-adult fantasy novels as I have had my share of them in my teenage years but the book would surely captivate readers who love dark fantasy novels and stories that kill every element of reality. The unending romance between both the central figures is heart-warming but very silly when thought from a realistic point of view. I lost my interest the moment I read the male protagonist decided that he was going kill the daughter of Aurora that would return power back to Jessa, and headed out with his sabre to kill without even making a plan or gathering forces or thinking anything for that matter. I mean, that is not how you kill a person especially when she is the daughter of a queen or whatever.
