Shelves: linguistics
nice book about historical linguistics. it includes some info which is repeated over and over again in other older books aimed for the same studies, but this one particularly puts some context on it and includes a chronology of the important events that shape the language and some interesting tables and appendixes.

i recommend this for lexical and semantical studies
