This is a scorching hot read with plenty of sex to go around. That's what I've come to expect from Sloane Kennedy, and this Christmas special doesn't disappoint.
There's a bunch of side plots here that weave together into a story of family and friendship. The main focus is on Hawke and Tate getting married, Mav proposing to Eli (after getting his fathers' blessing, of course), and Ronan and Seth wanting to start a family.
Hmmm. I'll take What's the common theme here? for $400, Alex.
Kennedy is far too obsessed with kids and marriage. There are other ways to get a HEA!
But I still read her books. Because love FOREVA and hot, dirty sex.
BONUS: an insanely lickable scene with Mace and his two men (Jonas and Cole) that had me seeing double, and Logan and Dom going at it after nine years together (I never read their story, but they're the godfathers of the Barretti clan, so it was fun to see them together).
Of course, all the kids are perfect and talk like little adults. Matty the Wise One is in full superhero mode, benevolently sharing his Spiderman doll.
There is little angst here; the OTT drama (and it wouldn't be a Sloane Kennedy book without it!) happens with the kids Seth and Ronan want to foster. There's a "scary" scene and evil relatives. But the dog saves the day!
I'm very much looking forward to Magnus (there are far too many M names in this series) and Dante's story, which should be a delicious enemies-to-lovers, bi-for-you feast, as well as Caleb and Jace's story (Caleb, Seth's brother, is not doing well here and is still pining for Jace who rescued him from the mental institution and his abusive father's clutches).

I loved this extra Christmas story about all my favorite men ;)
In this book Hawke and Tate get married, so ofcourse we got more of Matty. I love that kid !!
I loved seeing all my favorite couples happy or on the way to find their own hea. I'm very curious about Dante and Magnus, but to be honest I'm even more curious about Caleb's story. Unfortunately, I think it's gonna be a while until we get to his book, since Caleb is still just 17.
As always, this book had romance, happiness, suspence and some heartbreak (my heart that is). It also had some very nice steamy scenes :) I hope there will be many many more books in this series and the others !!! I will read them all :D

"The hard part was everything that came before we found each other."
This was such a wonderful holiday themed extended epilogue for all the previous couples in this series. It's an 8 foot wide, sparkling and sexy red bow of an HEA for everyone!
Ronan and Seth are getting a family...Hawke and Tate are getting married...Eli and Mav are getting engaged...Mace, Cole and Jonas are getting double penetration...hey, everyone wants what they want. A little something for everyone.
It wouldn't be Sloane Kennedy if there wasn't some over the top drama, but nothing can hold these men back from the lives they want....especially when it comes to protecting their family. And there's nothing fiercer than this circle of friends and extended family coming together to protect and care for each other.
The end of the novella set up the next book, which is Dante and Magnus...but what it also did was serve up a big tease for Caleb and Jace (Eli's brother and Mav's friend)....and I have to say....
I WANT. I WANT RIGHT NOW!!
***A quick side note: One thing I did notice while reading is that there's not really any women in this series (well, except for Jonas's friend Casey and a couple of moms - - and I don't count kids), but no friend or neighbor or anything? This strikes me as kind of odd. I wonder why this is?

Yeah : 4 stars because I’m a fan of Sloane Kennedy’s addictive writing and stories and we get all the men from the protectors series.
This is not a standalone : you need to have read all the previous books in the series before hand as all the protectors men are there, as well as the men from “Barretti securities”.
This book is a follow-up of all the couples as they settle into their relationship and build their families, with a wedding, the addition of adopted kids with a past of abuse and the promise of more adventures.
And of course, there is my favorite hero from the series : Matty, a real sunshine, able to put all these hot and sexy men on their knees and bring out the best out of them.
It’s fast-paced as usual, very family-oriented, with a lot of hotness and sweet romance.
Another nice treat while waiting for the next installment about Dante and Magnus.

4 Sweet sweet stars!! 💕😍 Loved this Protectors family reunion/Christmas.. 🤩💞.. It was hot, funny and super delightful to see all the couples and throuples happy, content and still full of passion. It was also great to check-in on the OG (Dom, Logan, Ren, Rafe etc) 😍. Despite expanding families and growing responsibilities, they are still as in love with their partner/s as the day we last said farewell to them. The book closes a few open ended stories and teases some upcoming storylines..💞
As someone who is a huge fan of The Protectors series.. I loved it!! 😍 And I'm soooo curious about all the upcoming stories.. 😁😳 Highly recommended!! 👍 If you have enjoyed the Protectors books.. you MUST read this!!

This is a special holiday story for the men of The Protectors Series, their families, friends, co-workers, and even the pets! I really enjoyed this story and it had little glimpses into all our favorite damaged men and their significant others. It was great to see life moving forward for them all - changes happening, new people being added to their families, and of course a great set up for the next book in the series! This book is about love & life, about living a life you may not have thought you deserved (most of these men in the series felt they should be alone and miserable for their life to atone for sins), and about new beginnings. We get to see a lot of new beginnings in this story and they are all pretty emotional. I think this quote from the story sums up the feelings of each couple as they remain devoted and committed to each other.
“Nothing will ever change what we have. We may be tested by whatever the future brings, but we won’t be changed by it, do you hear me? We’re in this together until the end.”
I can't wait for the next book in the series - I love how Sloane Kennedy brings these tortured men together. It looks like Magnus and Dante are going to be a couple with a lot of fireworks, so hang on!

I enjoyed A Protectors Family Christmas getting to spend some extra time with all the couples from the previous books in this great series and of course the Barretti's and even having a glimpse into future couples was wonderful.
I am happy for Ronan and Seth and their new posse.
I love little Matty he has to be one of the cutest kids EVER.
FINALLY I have to mention the bonus scene of course I ❤ it as it was Dom Barretti.
Each chapter is told from a different guy which I enjoyed.

This was great ! Spending time with the various couples, their families and friends. I really enjoyed this and especially loved the Matty moments- particularly when he announced he would be marrying his best friend Leo for so many practical reasons ! A great read ❤️

I'm a sucker for Slone Kennedy and her stories, I do not care what she writes, if my boys are in it I'm going to read it and probably love it.
This Christmas novella was perfect to catch up with the old couples and even get a glimpse to future stories!
I am dying with excitement with all the information we got from here.
I saw at least three new couples/threesomes here and I'm over the moon.
The last part with Logan and Dom was perfection.

We get to catch up with all the wonderful men in this series and I loved it. There are quite a few different stories going on at the same time but it isnt hard to follow at all plus you get multiple point of views.
I also have to say that certain parts of this story made me tear up. The love between Seth and Roan makes me smile. They become a real family and work your way into your heart from the beginning.
Hawke and Tate's wedding scenes made me smile to see them so happy and in love. The children in this story plays a big part and it is great to see Matty doing so well now.
Mav and Eli are a great couple. The love they have shows and how they make it work.
We dont get to see enough of Memphis, Brennan and Tristan but what we do get is them living their lives together.
The love scenes as usual per Sloane are hot.
The chemistry between this whole family is amazing. They would do anything for each other and it shows through out the whole story.
I cant wait to read the next book which I know will be great and see what she has in store for this group.

4.5 stars. Loved this one. There may have been a few sniffles too, and I defy anyone to read it and not feel the love, which we definitely need after the events of the last week!!
Set around Tate and Hawke's wedding, this instalment moves several threads along in the series. Still have to say little Matty is a huge fave of mine, and who knows, with his declaration towards the end of the story, he may be amongst the next generation of Protectors.

It was great to catch up with everyone again even if I had trouble remembering who is who! As much as I like this series, I do find it strange that they all are rushing to get married and having children. Even Tristan, Brennan and Memphis! Sorry guys, but I'm not sure how many DPs you can have when you've got rug rats running around.

This book is a holiday book with the Protectors Series. I loved this book. Everyone is in it. Christmas is a time of holiday cheer with family and friends, all of our loved ones. I loved how everyone was in this book. I loved seeing these men moving forward in their lives and their old and new families. We even get kids and pets. We get weddings engagements new people introduced. I loved little Matty and naked Leo. Its is told in multiple view points. Seth and Ronin they have such big hearts. I think Ronin and Seth were my favorite couple in this installment. I love all these men and the extended families. I loved watching these big men, who feel they may not deserve what they have, with such turmoil and drama be happy and watch them grow and set up their futures. I love how these big alpha men turn into a puddle of goo with kids around. Makes my heart flutter. Plus it is about the time of year of laugh, love, and cheer. These men love their families. Just because they aren't blood doesn't matter to them.
I have loved Sloane Kennedy for a long time and can’t wait to read more of her Protector series. Actually I can't wait to read whatever she puts out. I believe this book is also setting up for the next installment in series with Magnus and Dante.

This was book 5.5 in
"The Protectors"
series. This was a really sweet read that I loved. Things are changing for the couples. Tate and Hawke are getting married. Maverick went to Dom and Logan to ask to marry Eli. The biggest change comes to Seth and Ronan when Seth goes to the hospital with Zane and Connor to meet one of Zane's clients who broke her arm turns out the little girl is deaf and she and her little brother cling to each other. Turns out they have an older sister who took the kids and ran because they were being abused by there uncle who they went to live with. I really liked that Seth and Ronan was willing to do what they needed to do to make the kids part of their family. We also got to see that Caleb is not dealing with what his father did to him and that he has feelings for Jace who is older than the 17 year-old. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book.

There was TOO MUCH going on in this one. Literally all the couples were making an appearance. I was confused a lot in the beginning trying to recall the specifics of each character’s love story.
We have an engagement, another coupke’s wedding, another couple’s big for fostering/adoption, family gathering, a lost young man.
I was most interested in Ronan and Seth’s storyline with the brother and sister who didn’t speak. There was more story to be told there but it wasn’t developed as well because the author had to give time to all the other couples.
I also liked that Caleb was finally getting attention because I knew that the thing with Jace wasn’t going away. I look forward to their book as well as Pop-pop (Magnus) and Dante.

This is a fun little catch up with all of the guys as Hawke and Tate's wedding approaches. I really enjoyed seeing this slightly lighter side of all of the guys. They all are getting a much needed happy break. I really liked seeing how Ronan and Seth adopted their family as well. Great break in the darker aspects of this series as well as hinting at a few more match ups coming up down the line. :)

I seriously do not think I have ever read a more perfect 'update/wrap up' of a series such as Sloane Kennedy provides her readers with A Protectors Family Christmas!
If you haven't read the series yet, you may be just a little confused, but if this short, steamy, adventurous 'update' of the series is your first book to read, you will, guaranteed, want to read the rest of them, starting with, Absolution, Salvation, Retribution, Forsaken, Vengeance, and the upcoming Atonement!
Each of the installments introduces the reader to a different couple or trio of men who come together under extreme circumstances and find true love. A Protectors Family Christmas brings all of them together not only for the Holidays, but to celebrate the marriage of two of their own, Hawke and Tate.
Ronan and Seth
Seth discovers a young sister and brother brought in by the police to the hospital. They don't speak, seem malnourished, and cling to one another. Seth feels an affinity with them and brings up the possibility of fostering them to his new husband, Ronan. They agree to start the process.

Sloane Kennedy writes the words that just brings the intense passion these men feel for each other to life and the reader absorbs those words and feels the same emotions. This brilliant writer infuses such raw emotions into the story that the reader is feeling exactly what the characters are.
Then WHAM! The reader is thrown down a dark hole with a horrible tragedy that occurs while Ronan and Seth are taking custody of the young sister and brother, who we now know as Jamie and Nicole.
Continuing the story spotlights Ronan and Seth's struggle to provide a stable family for Jamie, Nicole, and older sister Willow.
And just like that with a shared meal and all of us piled onto one couch with bowls of popcorn between us, we’d become a family.

As Maverick prepares to make a lasting commitment to Eli, with an intimidating ask the father (Dom Barretti) for permission, Ronan and his husband Seth find themselves moving their family forward in addition, even with Seth's anxieties. All this couple wanted was to express their love and commitment in front of friends and family. With the prospect of their wedding being postpone, Hawke was going to make sure that never happened. Tate was finally happy and Matty was cancer free and being the child he never got an opportunity to be. It took wonderful friend like Ronan to offer the perfect venue to make their dreams come true.
As the day gets closer, Seth and Ronan find themselves opening their hearts and their home to three underprivileged kids who needed the men just as much as the men needed them. Friends and family banned together as Ronan and Seth almost lose the family that have landed in their lap. You have to read to understand the enormity of it all.
Our resident ménage à trois Brennan, Tristan & Memphis offer support, while proving that their love is just as strong as ever. The same as Mace, Jonas & Cole. We are reintroduced to Eli's brother Caleb and his protector Jace, whose story I am waiting patiently on. And let's not forget out resident grandfather Magnus as he continues to ignore Dante, whose story ATONEMENT jumps on the scene in 2017.
I don't think I will ever get tired of Sloane's men. Especially little Matty who claims of Zane and Connor's son: "I'm going to marry Leo someday." Be still my heart. Out of the mouth of babes.

Could it be more perfect?!
The perfect mix of pleasure and pain brings a Christmas gift from Sloane Kennedy as we catch up with the beautifully crafted men of her Protectors and Barretti stories.
No one writes thruples better than Sloane in my opinion and we get a wonderfully emotive glimpse into Mace, Cole and Jonas' powerful connection with each other and a sexual encounter which puts the temperature into the stratosphere.
I can never decide which of her beautiful men I love the most but Ronan comes close to the top of a very delicious tree and this Christmas special sees him and Seth receiving the most special of gifts.
But then we get Hawke and I'm torn all over again. The feelings that Sloane evokes simply by having Tate call him Michael is difficult to articulate but it breaks my heart while simultaneously warming my soul.
The rest of the guys all get a catch up too as they move onwards together, Mav and Eli take the next step on their journey and Memphis, Tristan and Brennan see that their unconventional relationship can be as committed and perfect as the rest.
There is also a bonus hint of what's coming next with Magnus and Dante, and a potential new relationship focus with the firm's IT girl and two of Ronan's top guys which intrigued me.
Hopefully it won't be long before the next Protectors novel is out.

This story was much more complex than I had originally thought. Very emotional, the author shined a spotlight on each of the couples we met in previous books in this series and even from the Barretti series. Everyone had at least a vignette, mostly in their bedroom if you know what I mean. All I can say is Sloane Kennedy has a vivid and varied imagination. Just sayin'.
The major plot surrounded Ronan and Seth and their family expansion. And Hawke and Tate's wedding. Of course, we go a lot of little Matty too. Sweet little guy.
I think if I'd read this during the holidays, or shortly after finishing the books published before this one, I may have been emotionally tied in more and likely would have let my emotions sweep me to a higher rating. Even Mace, Cole, and Jonah showed up here. And though first, their book (done on audio by the inimitable Joel Leslie) remains my favorite.
At any rate, if you've read the series or even started it, this one is like the cherry on the ice cream sundae. Yummy.

Oh I loved catching up with the characters, seeing how they're adapting to life together, the families they're building...and the sex! Oh my! So hot.
I'm still gonna have to read a few of the books in two of her other series to cement the family structure/participants in my head, but man I can't wait for the next installment of The Protectors. (Which I think is Dante/Magnus. Jace/Caleb is gonna be hard to read when that one comes around, though, given what Caleb's been through.)
Also, I really, really am hoping that SK does as she's hinting with an eventual MMF for Cash, Sage & Daisy. *crosses fingers* She's done MM and MMM in her series, now it's time for my favorite kind of permanent triad! (Not counting Logan's Need because, well...what happens to Sylvie.)
